Huge Brian Glick fan. Bernardo is such a humble guy and to spend some time recognizing him for his history was awesome.

I tried and hit the first one twice today in live rolling. Works like MAGIC. Definitely makes me consider buying the instructional when it comes out!

Just like Brian says I would recommend Ageless Jiu Jitsu: Winning when you’re older and less athletic-bottom game: Gi by John Danaher. Bonus you’ll get more Brian as well.

@@williamkinsman946 Yep, good recommendation. If you want the best bang for your buck, New Wave: Half Guard is an excellent deep dive. Brian is good at summarizing and simplifying John's content, so it comes down to what you want. One thing I noticed: John doesn't really talk much about half butterfly. Brian's Under Pressure: Half Butterfly is *amazing.*

Brian is a more concise version of Danaher. Awesome.

Guys, I have a new revolutionary guard system that my professor created. I put my foot behind my opponent's knee, I control the same leg with a pant grip OR a cup grip around the ankle. With my other hand I can control collars/lapels/sleeves. I call it The Knee Torque Murica. You can actually take someone's back from it, even if they are standing up with a movement I call Cake Roll Jigorotoshi. I am telling you, it's going to blow the interwebs very soon.

Before shooting for the underhook, what are some strategies/techniques for bringing the top person forward?

A good player isn’t going to let you bring them forward easily. I usually plan to position myself lower on the waist as I shoot the under hook from a knee shield. Sometimes you get blocked and have to change strategy. Hope that helps

If their posture is upright control near side wrist and take the back with an armdrag. If the pull back out of they armdrag you can almost always underhook.

The one on one leg half guard is old school. What was old is new again
