Glad it worked out, but seriously if they give you a sticker or paperwork, use them! Biggest advantage you can ever have is proof in writing. Be safe man, RIDE RED!!

That's wild that that's legal! When we were kids we'd sometimes have to ride like that to connect trails, and it was illegal. If a cop ever saw he'd try to ticket us for it so we had no real choice but to disappear down the next trail. I guess they knew we were just kids out riding. They never sent helicopters out after us.😂

The cop deserves a compliment, what a great guy
The coolest thing about this officer was he flat out interrupted the guy and said “I’m just asking for me. You’re fully free to leave at this point”. Basically saying…. I’m willing to learn if you’re willing to teach me. But this is no longer a traffic stop. Cool dude.
If that trooper told me that I couldn't be on the road, I would have asked him: If I can't cross the road, then am I supposed to jump it?

Dude was literally doing nothing wrong, he's out in the middle of nowhere riding on the side of the road and still gets messed with that's insane to me

If you didn’t view all cops as A holes, it’s not insane. The cop was willing to learn something new, what’s wrong with taking a moment to educate him? Nothing. As a commercial drone pilot, I’m educating cops on a regular basis these days. Cops don’t know everything, and the ones that are willing to listen and learn, are cool people. But you don’t know that until you talk to them. Still, some are A holes, but it’s a bad idea to treat them all as so.

Stg, I think I grew up w that trooper, couldn’t really hear the name and it’s been years since I’ve seen him. Incredible dude honestly. Wish we knew of the ditch permit back then because he told me I couldn’t ride like that

If you take a pic from your cell phone of the paper work you always have it with you, cause sometimes we forget the paper.
I have the info on my phone already just someone had my phone that day and was recording me. When I got stopped, vehicle with my phone kept going

You were cooler about it that I would have been. You got pulled over and identified for straight up following the law... He had no grounds to talk to you at all.
I will take the time to educate a cop, if they are willing to learn. The ones who are willing to learn something that they didn’t know about are the cool ones. But you won’t know that they are cool unless you talk to them. Treating all cops like they are A holes is a bad idea.

This a small town. Everyone knows everyone, you don’t go thru farmers property. Half of them in this state have government seed ties. No reason to run when I’m fully legal & continue to ride my dirt bike on the route

So if a police officer is telling you anything to do with a law he should know what he's Talking about right
I got pulled over alot and they all do the same thing until you stand your groud and educate them on freedoms we have
So in otherwords they should get al more training
Like a doctor 6 years of training
They'll be great officers then 100%
Technically, that is not ditch riding. The fact that you can legally ride it the ditch is very cool the state allows it.
