Where are the plays on texture? Where is the piecing in the service of drape? It seems that there are body-friendly possibilities that aren’t being explored.
I love the ideas. I talked about this on one of my lives. I think people will venture into those things the larger this movement gets.

Thank you for recording this. I have made several wardrobes of quilted clothing starting in the early 80's. If I walk out the door in cooler weather, I am in a quilted garment. I love wholecloths. A vest is a great place to try out a new quilting design. If people don't know I am a quilter, no one ever guesses I made it. I am happy and warm in my wardrobe that is uniquely me. I am always so happy to see others enjoying their creations and I enjoy seeing their unique personalities coming out in their garments.

I prewash fabric for things that are just patchwork. For quilted garments, I do the quilting on a piece that is bigger than the actual pattern piece by at least an inch on all sides I wash the sections after I quilt them, then I cut out my pattern pieces. That way they will be washable and not shrink in size.. @@MACoutureCrafting

Being a first-timer, I missed most of this as I was spending my time gawking at the products, fabrics and quilts. Apparel and bags are more my "thing" than actual quilts. Now that I'm not sure. I tried to have them say the names so we could google them. Next time if I have an assistant by then I might have them write them down and plug them so we can find them more easily.
