Thank you for being so comprehensive in your reviews of these drives, many times the don't have game lists so you don't know what games are included. Most reviews don't do a great job of showing what is on each drive. Also there are dozens of drives with similar names so it's hard to tell them apart and what each contains.
Thank you. Totally agree. It's very hard to find the difference between a lot of these drives. Hopefully this helps show the difference.
Appreciate the video👍. Emulation has come a long way. I've been gaming since the 80's and I can still remember the first time I got into emulation around 2007 on the original Xbox. My current gaming PC setup has an 8tb Samsung QVO SSD. I wish higher capacity SSDs and NVMEs were cheaper. This drive and the 12tb setup look like something I'll be picking up in the future (to replace my current 8tb Hyperspin drive).
This one looks great, just got the 12 tb kinhank with just AAA games, its awesome.
Do you have a link to the kinhank drive?
@justinz4351 They actually included Launchbox inside with some games too as a gift.
Just ordered mine. Collections look great! Especially for the price! Thanks for all you do, mate.
Thank you for the kind words and support
Need to wait until I get a better PC for one of these things. Only a year maybe 2 until I can enter emulation heaven.
Until then it's $10-$20 every other month on scuffed consoles, controllers, and video games at my local Goodwill.
I'm up 1 $11 Guitar Hero guitar for PS2, 1 works like new $10 scuffed Xbox 360, 1 work like new $7 GameStop Edition Xbox360 controller, and 1 free Xbox 360 game.
Hoping to get lucky one day, like you, and pick up some Nintendo products for dirt cheap.
Can't wait for the next live stream. Would like to dive into tattoos. All of mine have some meaning to me. Would like to hear about yours.
17,000 games! 16,500 doubles & triples.
Awesome video. !! Love all your videos !!! Wish your videos were longer. Really should be. Great collections. The price is great for the amount of games. Plus 32 emulators. Windows selection not that impressive. Please tell
Us the minimum specs to play the higher end games .
They can definitely be copied to ssds. I've done they myself actually. It really depends on what is used. Many use generic brands which are wild cards. You never know if they'll last forever or die tomorrow but this one uses a seagate hdd which I've had great success with. I have some seagate drives I've had for 8 years and they still work perfectly.
Thank you for the response!!! I'm super happy you are checking the drive It's nice to know.
Talking about hard disk drives there's some aspects to be aware of. Since 2012 there's only three remaining companies manufacturing HDDs, Seagate, Toshiba and WD Western Digital. This makes any hard disk either a product of these three manufacturers or at least twelve years old. That they use the 3TB Seagate Skyhawk inside of that generic enclosure is somewhat suspicious for two reasons, at first it's a purpose build hdd made for video applications like surveillance vdeo capturing (from the specs: up to 64 camera streams per hdd at the same time, ment to be used in big raid systems), and second suspicious point is that the 3TB Skyhawk is still available for around 90+ bucks and the 4TB goes for 80 bucks new, fresh off the shelf. So i think it definately would make sense to do a quick check with S.M.A.R.T. hdd tools for if those are actually new hdds with very few hours of use on them or if they repurposed/recycled old used and worn out data center hardware.
Don't get me wrong, i like second hand hardware in general for many reasons, but i sure do want to be informed and know about that before buying, especially when it's mechanical hdds which have a limited life span. So, pleeaase, do a quick drive check with some SMART hdd monitoring tools to figure that out. Thank you & cheers .
When you want to copy a drive ,which option should one select on Balena etcher? clone drive ?
@@nopadelik9286I lived in China for 13 years ,all of their hdds are refurbished .

I enjoyed the 12tb version
I'd like to see a 1TB SD card collection. I saw a $20, 500GB on Aliexpress.
I was hoping to see a video with a smaller harddisk. The 12TB one just seemed to be a bit overkill and too pricey to dip the toes in this thing. I have a Kinhank Super Console X2-Pro and am pretty happy with it. Let's find out what this one can do. I like your vids. Keep up the good work.
Cheapest way is to build one with an empty drive or find an image online. 3tb is a good size but, you may have alot of 70s stuff and not as much early 2k stuff
@@mikemells1642, I go for plug & play because I don't have the time to set everything up myself. 80 bucks is fine. I still can add what is missing later.
@@mikemells1642 It's hard to find one online until you want to use a torrent. The only thing I have seen is the Best Set and the one MashTec did on Archive.

These hard drives are impressive. What would you say the typical life expectancy would be? Do you think these are reclaimed or refurbished hard drives? Do you think these hard drives can be copied onto an SSD so that their performance would be better?
please have a look on the comment i posted above, and for typical life expectancy there's the tech spec data sheet available from the manufacturer, easy to find via google. (my personal experience is that there is no "typical" in hdd life spans, because this won't help you if they fail, only a back up does ;-) )
What degree of freedom does it give you to manage the game files? Can you transfer them to another device for example?
Will the Kamrui Ryzen 7 mini PC play the ps4 games on here?
Seems good for the price, but no arcade games?
Since i myself have a lot of good HDDs from old pc's i can make my own drive, and i did so, but i'd gladly buy a 3TB collection with switch and ps4 games than a HDD with enclosure, od you have some links for an all in one solution ?
I'm wondering if I'll be able to log into my Launchbox account, and sync this with Bigbox on my PC. 🤔
Hello, im building my own setup through retrobat. What folder would i put the wrc 8 games? And all the others like the ps4 and xbox one games that you say are the computer versions
Pretty much the aaa games too
My guess PC Games.
Try transferring this HDD to SSD this would make an interesting video
if scroll over the xbox one titles they are there, one of them was cuphead and those are labled as xbox one, but there the pc versions same as the ps4 section. there pc versions,
idk why but everytime i see a video of those things, they dont have the games i would want to play on the xbox or playstation section, every single time, so i think i stick to my own emulators (which are free btw - grey area legalwise i know but still free) at the end it still is only a harddrive with emulators + games on it (which you buy with your money...), you still need to have the propper PC to play it, not to mention the controllers for each console type. i give these things always a "meh" rating, but thanks for showing mate.
Absolutely. Setting up your own is always the BEST way to go because then it has exactly what you want. I agree there's always a lot of what I consider to be filler titles in most cases for certain collections. Generally in the higher end collections. Sometimes you get lucky and find stuff you are into but it's always going to be somebody else's list when getting a preloaded option. You combat this by making your own 100% and that also enables you to not waste valuable gbs with stuff you'll never play. Well said 👍🏻
Looking to replace my laptop this black friday, Think it would be possible to get the most out of this drive with a laptop at around $1,000? I mean what type of specs would you need to play the higher end games on it?
I'm actually reviewing a gaming laptop this week. It may be a viable option. Typically you need a good Nvidia or and graphics card paired with good speeds. Check back in a couple days
@@RetroGamingGuy Thank you very much i will be sure to keep an eye out.
Is there an hdmi out on this thing or is it just usb
No Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 on GameCube? That’s a crime! I’d rather not even have the GameCube emulator if it doesn’t include at least RS2, but preferably RS2 and RS3 Rebel Strike, which wasn’t as good as 2, but was still worth playing.
You can download it yourself
there will be a reason for it not being included, It doesn't emulate well at all!
Those blank slots in the Xbox One collection are where the virus payloads are.
No mame that’s crazy
What is the settings website you mention?
Here it is wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=Main_Page
WOW! They have GTA and no Saints row.
Can we get that stuff in mexico? I want to buy one
come on kinhank , put out a 8tb just switch games!!!! please!!!
emulation seems kinda slow, like they didn't optimise it, or are just bad roms.
What emulators are running ps4, xbox one?
None they are pc games
@@ArcadeGamesArcadenGames ahhh ok, yeah cause cause alot of pc games are on xbox and ps4.ps5. thanks man.
You looked down on the lego games? : (
Just didn't think they were going to be all that interesting but they def are
@@RetroGamingGuy I hear the 1st lego Indiana Jones is good. Lego lord of the rings has custom weapons like ice bows, flame bow, and it's own lego rap remix item that makes everyone dance. If you do for some reason ever play the original prequel lego star wars game Yoda has a fun hover chair that's not in the lego star wars complete saga version.
What emulator is running Xbox one?
Pc games
WD is definitely more reliable than Seagate, in my experience.
None of WD or Seagate from China are reliable, they use refurbished drives for all collections. Source: lived there for 13 years
Man it is too much money for me. Can you recomend me another plug and play hdd to be more cheap and work with lunch box?
Xbox 1 and PS4 games are not real. Come on. Those system don't have emulators yet. Those are gonna have to be windows games at least.
Exactly people that make emulation videos should already know and tell there audience they are pc games
@@__EMULATIONPROS__ they do almost all the time.. they aren't emulated they are ps4 games released for switch or PC
Surely you can use this on a jailbroken console tho.
Badly curated,30 games for Saturn only? Seriously Dreamcast also suxx few titles, they are not Sega fans
2024 and a mechanical drive? Why not put it in an NVME 4TB? So people can install it in their laptops. Most people would pay extra. Think my friends, think .
Seagate HDD, And I'm out. Absolute the shittiest drive you can get. Lost interest he moment i saw that. I lost a massive amount of data to one of those pieces of crap.
Delete Barbie, Disney, Horse, Baby, Bratz games etc... Add wrestling
The worst companies are Nintendo, Sega, and Capcom in that order
