Neil Sedaka - "My Friend" (1986)

New version of a song originally recorded in 1980 for the album "In The Pocket". Recorded for a Polydor compilation album of the same name and dedicated to the memory of Sedaka's deceased songwriting partner, Howard Greenfield.

Honestly I prefer Jackie Love & Simon Gallaher's version, probably because that's the only version I've heard till now. Give Sedake his due for writing such a good song, as well as many others
