Words cannot describe how much your videos and all your info mean to me..i used to be professional a few years ago but now I only do my own nails and I have learned so much from you on shellac..THANK YOU SO MUCH.. and PLEASE don't give up.. Regards Vanessa..
Aww glad you're finding my videos useful. I am a qualified nail technician so I have an account with the UK distributor. The problem is if you're not qualified you can only take a chance with websites really x
Your videos are fabulous! Much respect to you for sharing your knowledge and designs with us. I'm just getting into nail art so can't wait to try these new designs! X
Hi there! With me I noticed that going over the same area alot of times cracks the foil up so I find the best way it to be quick with it and pull off. Thanks for watching my video x
Awww thank you! It does work with regular polish. I have linked a video in the description bar that Nail Delights have made (the company I bought the foils from) so you can see how to do it! :) x
Hi Laura! I WISH I was going to pro beauty - it's too far for me right now but I'll be going to beauty UK in Birmingham. You definitely need to get some foils... They're amazing! You could just add a few random pieces to the nail and not cover it completely for a more subtle look x
Hi, love the foils with shellac they look amazing. Could i be cheeky and ask what camera you use for taking your nail photos? I have a pretty good camera but it will not take close ups of nails it is rubbish.
Lisa?! Haaaa! That happens to me all of the time!! I would definitely approach them as soon as possible and let them see your nails. The most likely area to peel (if any) is the free edge of the nail - not the cuticle area or sidewalls so don't feel bad - it could be something as simple as their bulbs needing changing so if you don't mention it others will have the same problem x
Hey, first of all you are amazing!! Love watching your video's.. I have a question.. i have a bolltle of iced cappuccino but no matter what I do, it does not dry under my lamp.. I do the exact same thing with other cnd colours and those dry perfectly.. what am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much for sharing you talents. I am not a professional but I am really enjoying learning how to do shellac and mixing colors. I will definitely be trying to do the foil. I have seen art where they have just a band of silver or gold foil. Have you done that and if so could you demonstrate. Thanks again
Lisa can I ask a question ? I got shellac done but after 3 days it started to peel from the cuticle and the sides I feel bad complaining to the salon but surely after 3/4 days it shouldn't start to peel should it ? X
Hi Karen, I've just liked this video and added it to my favourites for future reference. It's been massively helpful, thank you! I'd been thinking that's it should be possible to use Shellac with foil but not got round to trying it yet. I'm thinking it would be great for prom parties as quite easy to do but can be as subtle or blingy as you want. Don't suppose you're going to Pro Beauty at Excel next month are you? Laura xx
It's definitely a lot easier than over polish and if it doesn't come off all at once - you can just fill in any gaps. I absolutely love the effect. Thanks so much for watching x
Love your videos! I've been watching them all day... their addictive :0) You explain everything so well!! Can I ask where do you buy the CND polishes from? There are so many fake ones out there... how can you tell that you've bought the real ones?? Thanks :)
Hi! Id tried the same as on the video. The result is great, but when i want to get the tacky layer off, some shine from the foil comes with it:( how is this possible? sorry for my terrible english:)
Hiya, love you nails! Can you please give me a link for glue or details to look for when purchasing, have tried different glues and tired of disappointment..Thank you..x
Thanks so much for doin this vid. Iv a box of foils there mths th I couldn't do a thing with, they're awful on natural nails I.m.o. Delighted t have a go on my shellacs. Cheers missy :)
I tried them foils on a bluesky shellack, and some of the foils dont transfer very well on sprakly colour, best on a black matt, but its not even a case? Maybe you have to be carefull with a foil n try not to touch it so you want leave any grease so it prevents transfering onto the nail surface? Thank You
I noticed that when I applied a top coat directly on top of the foil, it would crack and remove the shine. So I was experimenting, and I found that when you apply another coat of the adhesive (I really recommend you purchase the adhesive cause it makes the application of the foil so much easier) directly on top of the foil, then let it dry, and apply a top coat over that, it won't remove the shine as much (almost nothing) and it will not crack the foil. So, adhesive, foil, adhesive, top coat
Shellac literally looks pretty perfect until I take it off... The only thing is on the odd occasion if I don't use tech tape to cover my thumb and index finger while filing acrylics I do have a habit of taking off the corners :( it does depend on your nail quality and if you're hard on your nails or not too x
Thats not cheeky at all !! For the photos I used my iPhone 5 for this video. Now I do use photography lights which were £60 for two from Amazon but I was thinking that your camera should have a flower icon on it? Most cameras do have it and it will focus in on something close up. Hope this helps x
Actually I do know for sure and am very experienced with foils. I'm not going to argue with you because I know better but it is a whole lot more time to do it this way. When you figure the lamp time alone is soo much more time along with doing the foils piece by piece instead of one piece. That is just plain crazy how she is doing it. There should never be a sticky layer on top period.
With this method you have to use a lamp so it takes so much longer & it doesn't turn out as nice it cracks. You have to put it on bit by bit instead of in one piece & it is much more costly & time consuming
Ok well I still think its much easier to apply foil over shellac and gel polish than regular polish and it takes less time. I'm a Beauty Therapist BTW so am not sure you should go around telling people they're not doing things right when you don't know that for sure
Hi, I love you videos, I grew up in Liverpool myself so love listening to your accent. I own a training centre in the West Midlands and would like to use some of your links to help our students. Please keep up the good work of how to do nails properly, there are so many technicians out there that have not be trained well. John at thenailschool.co.uk

Thanks for watching Anna - gel would work just as well, I'm an acrylic girl so Shellac is what I'll use it for mainly x
Awww thanks Sophia. I'm glad my videos have been useful to you. More to come shortly ! x
These nails are gorgeous!! I love the starburst ones! x
Hi there! With me I noticed that going over the same area alot of times cracks the foil up so I find the best way it to be quick with it and pull off. Thanks for watching my video x
I had wondered if foils would stick to the tacky inhibition layer. Your tutorial answered my question. Thanks! The effect is beautiful!
Me too! They're even more amazing!! There's more starburst ones in different colours on the website I think! x
Awww thank you! It does work with regular polish. I have linked a video in the description bar that Nail Delights have made (the company I bought the foils from) so you can see how to do it! :) x
I love how in depth you go!
Thanks can't believe how simple this is, its easier than foiling over polish
Can you use the foils with regular polishes? I love that look, beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Love your videos!
Great video! Do you cure it once more after the foil is applied or just top coat? Thanks
Hi Laura! I WISH I was going to pro beauty - it's too far for me right now but I'll be going to beauty UK in Birmingham. You definitely need to get some foils... They're amazing! You could just add a few random pieces to the nail and not cover it completely for a more subtle look x

lovely....don't u need to use glue before applying the foil? Thx
It's so much fun! I love how sparkly they are and hopefully it translates on camera! Thanks for watching x
I always enjoy your videos! Thank you from the states! 😘
These are awesome!!!! I've tried to do them with shellac but the peeled off :( will attempt it again using your methods hope it works
Thank you so much for sharing you talents. I am not a professional but I am really enjoying learning how to do shellac and mixing colors. I will definitely be trying to do the foil. I never knew you could do that!!! pretty
Great video. How do you apply the picture or pattern foils in one full piece? Like the leopard print and English rose?
i really love this effect ,love the magenta and aqua ab foil so pretty :o)
Sorry!! Special glue. One mentioned taking acetone to remove the brown layer on the back to make application easier. Would that work here too?
Im a qualified nail technician so I buy from the UK CND Distributor but you have to be licensed to buy from them x
Lisa can I ask a question ? I got shellac done but after 3 days it started to peel from the cuticle and the sides I feel bad complaining to the salon but surely after 3/4 days it shouldn't start to peel should it ? X

tutti fruiti with peach burst is my favourite, but ice cappuccino with champagne on top sounds the best!;) xx

Do you know if this would work with the Gelish? It should since it does have the tacky layer too. What do you think? Thanks! :)
Thanks so much. Fantastic video and so helpful
I'm going to try this RIGHT NOW!!!!thanks for the idea
thats such a cool effect!!!
Hi, just been onto nail delights website and they are not on there anymore any idea if they have changed names?
Hi! Id tried the same as on the video. The result is great, but when i want to get the tacky layer off, some shine from the foil comes with it:( how is this possible?
sorry for my terrible english:)
This is fab! Thank you for sharing your advice 💅🏻😃

I LOVE THE COLORS, HOW LONG DO THEY LAST ??
As long as the Shellac lasts x
whats the disperse? what can i use to get the sticky stuff of the nail at the end?
Thanks Deb :) I'd love to do your nails! x

Where do you purchase your shellac products at? @liverpoollashes
I noticed that when I applied a top coat directly on top of the foil, it would crack and remove the shine. So, adhesive, foil, adhesive, top coat
@Traci Williams You need to cure it after placing the Shellac Top Coat on, so it can stay put
Where do you get the foils from?
wow lovvvve these looks!!
Shellac literally looks pretty perfect until I take it off... How do I find u on FB? Love ur video's..
Great video!
Do you remove it the same way? With acetone, I mean.
Yes you do :) x
Hmmm... this is very odd. Have you shaken your bottle a little? I would contact where you purchased it from to complain x
is simply a fantastic idea :)
Are you on Facebook at all?
Link is in the description bar for where I buy from - I think youve really got to be careful where you buy from as some are terrible quality !! x
I thought you needed to use glue before applying the foils.. I've used these before and the shellac is never sticky enough..
Lovely!!!
Hehehe - alot of people say this. We're both from northern England so the accent is simular x
Thanks for watching :) x
It shouldnt be slippery after curing. The shellac should be tacky and its this tacky layer that you then apply the nail foil to x
Great video, thanks :)
Your voice sounds like Lauren Luke's voice she is a youtuber to , her youtube nickname is panacea81
With this method you have to use a lamp so it takes so much longer & it doesn't turn out as nice it cracks. You have to put it on bit by bit instead of in one piece & it is much more costly & time consuming
I'm not, sorry but I do have Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Search for 'liverpoollashes' x
Haaa! I actually said something about it sounding delicious with iced cappuccino and champagne but I edited it out! x
Foils are not meant to be used with shellac , gels or a lamp.
Ok well I still think its much easier to apply foil over shellac and gel polish than regular polish and it takes less time. I'm a Beauty Therapist BTW so am not sure you should go around telling people they're not doing things right when you don't know that for sure
Hehe - hope you had fun! xu
?? what do you mean hun
I have see similar video's with glu
pretty :)

You probably aren't doing it right because this method is sooooooo much harder & a whole lot more costly & time consuming.
