8 Seconds Hot Fire Test - RFA

We are not resting! After successfully testing our staged combustion engine for two seconds in late June, we immediately raised the bar - again with success:
On July, 22th, we fired our engine for a duration of eight seconds. We achieved stable combustion and reached a thermal steady-state through every component of the engine, which is considered proof in the industry that an engine is fully functional. Ignition, operation in steady-state and controlled engine shutdown were nominal.
Another big step towards the next small thing!
