Another EPIC Camp Abel. No wood, no fire. Really just out in the elements…. Views are fantastic. Don’t have anything like that here in Iowa USA so really appreciate being in these camps with you. Food looked incredible as always. Tent did outstanding. Look forward to next video of hot tent. Glad to hear Victoria and Penelope doing well. Has to be so fun getting home after these trips. Take care Abel !!!
That pitter patter from the rain/ice would send me straight to sleep. Such a soothing sound. Great video as always. Hope the family is well and much love from Baltimore
I always enjoy watching the struggle in the wind and the wet, but then knowing how good that has to feel when you finally get in that tent and out of the wind! Keep the videos coming!
Im quite new here and im loving it, you should make a meal with grits I dont know what they have in new zealand but a meal whether its shrimp and grits or sausage and grits is an amazing meal for a really cold night or day!
The gear you have is unbelievable from the layers , Hilleberg, mat, sleeping bag ...I'd happily buy all that unfortunately the Mrs insists on feeding the kids 😂..all the best mate brilliant
The climb you made to get there had me out of breath! I even got chills watching that wind! You always make the best meals. I can almost smell them! You give me some great ideas. Another epic camp Abel . I look forward to seeing your videos and always appreciate the work you put into each and every one! Sending good vibes from Ohio ❤️
Thanks for another great camp in brutal conditions Abel. Always good to tag along and watch you taking the brunt of the weather mate. Of course that food you prepare as also pretty special. With Summer approaching it will be good to see you sucking down a Bundaberg Ginger Beer at the end of your walk out soon. Regards to Victoria and your little princess mate.
i really got into watching camping videos recently.. and have to say i LOVE watching the ones in snowstorms, extreme weather conditions, even just heavy rain and winter season! for some reason summer camping with nice weather is just boring... feels like i could do that myself in the back garden ahah... but this stuff is like wow... i could never do that! makes it a great watch!
The sound of rain or sleet on a tent puts me to sleep. What a beautiful view and amazing experience! I’m definitely going to give that recipe a try. Greetings from Canada!
Incredible! Your resilience in camping through a snowstorm with heavy rain is truly admirable. The icy conditions and your ability to adapt make for a gripping and inspiring watch. Well done, Abel and Victoria!
Gonna be camping in in Wales come feb so gonna be getting a better sleeping bag. (Could be minuses but more likely wet n muddy). Hope the wee one doing well👍
That is a beautiful camp site. The cameras do a pretty good job, but the views in person would be amazing. Imagine being another hiker and being downwind of Abels' cook ups. The aromas from that cook up would be epic.
34:47 Epic!! Anyone know which lake that is? First guess is Southland, second guess West Coast. I'm a Waikato boy, we only deal with cows and rolling hills..
Those breezy exposed sites might look interesting fun all tucked up in down and thermal mattress but even in such a bomber tent the wind is going to disturb sleep, poles can bend, pegs can fly out and get lost and it can quickly turn real and a rude awakening.
I'm from New Zealand and got snowed in over the weekend with so much snow we lost power and the roads were closed. Spring is when we have our biggest snow dumps usually. I got snowed in last year around the same time too.
@AbelandVictoria We've had snow @ lake level there on Christmas day, with our mts summers never a guarantee there won't be snow. So you never know, we might see more snow camps from you before March
@@AbelandVictoria I was in Castle Hill just out of Arthurs Pass at my friends holiday home! It was incredible. Biggest dumping I've seen in that area in a long time. Would love to see a further south camp at some point once the baby has gotten a bit older!

Awsome video! I use and love Zenbivy, too, here in Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Southwest Virginia High Country. Our Mountains are still recovering from Helene. We're just now moving into fall here. Congratulations on your new baby. Thank you for the great videos and camping trips. Always look forward to new ones.
We love smoked salmon bagels while camping. Great tip about the squeeze of lemon and we’ll definitely try that! Another pro tip, after you smear the bagels with cream cheese, top with the capers so they stick in the cream cheese and don’t roll away. Then top with salmon and your squeeze of lemon! Right on! Cheers from Canada!
Greetings from Bulgaria for the nice video. Here the climate is similar to yours, with the difference that our mountains are much crude, and such a trial would not have such a good end. However, I believe we should be prepared and trained for something like this. Say hello to Victoria and congratulations on the first birth.
Abel do you know the sailor saying. Red skies in morning sailor take warning (means a storm is coming) Red skies at night sailors delight (means good weather).
Wow that what I don't like is camping in cold and snowing weather like that I like the rain and clear day where I can see the beauty of the place mountain that I at .I glad u and her and be want is here like see her at a year old go camping with y'all.thank for the video I love every one of them
The view of that lake was breathtaking. Maybe for a bit of a change for your cocoa you could add either some pulverized mint disc's or butterscotch disc's, your call. Glad your wife and daughter are doing well. Your late spring weather is almost as bad as it gets here in Denver. I've seen some rather large tents in other camping videos, but they do look rather expensive too. Don't go overboard, just plan well and enjoy camping! Take care Abel!
Might I suggest a ground cloth? Would save the bottom of your tent and give you one more layer without adding any significant weight. Enjoy the vids! Keep them coming!
@@AbelandVictoria I agree, it's just I think of my ground cloth as an insurance policy against punctures and abrasions caused by rocks . Some hikers like to have them, others don't.....like I first said, it's just a suggestion.
Awesome❤ Thanks for the Info Abel About Data protection I shall see to it mate . Best Fresh Air is that time Before the Sun comes up Blessed. Best wishes always.
What an awesome camp! Stunning views, great food and cool setup! Looking forward (as the weather improves) to Victoria, Penelope and yourself glamping soon! 😉

Like a summer day in Scotland. Beautiful fair weather camp!
We are regularly now below 0C at night now so I use coleman stoves that use camp oil. even at -40C that stuff will still light.
No wind protection even from a rock. That's brutal.
Love to family, thanks for the camp.
