Hi Joel, my husband's on his 3rd Jag now. They're great comfortable cars. Nice to see yours was first registered at Evans Halshaw, in Stoke. They became Stratstone Jaguar, but the dealership closed about 3 or 4 years ago. The building is still there, derelict now though. It used to be called Hanley Garage , many, many years ago & was a BMC/BL dealership. Changed to Jaguar in the 1990s. The colour is called Topaz Gold, our XJ (X350 shape) is exactly the same colour. Jag facelifted the S Type in about 2002 & the interior ergonomics were improved a lot. Great video.
im not gonna lie, i miss the 7 series, but the jaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggg is lovely. my grandad had one exactly like yours, same engine, very similar old man colour, when he passed away a few months ago i got the car. it's lovely bit of kit. love the content joel.
I love my 2006 S Type 2.7 diesel. Bought it from an old boy back in 2014 for nine grand with just 30K miles on the clock - just watched the gauge pass 100K miles! The most reliable, least expensive car I've ever had - a real joy to drive/own.
Thanks for bringing the best looking sedan for our viewership Joel. You loved the E85 Z4 and now you bought the Jag S TYPE. Both are my dream cars. We have the same taste for cars bro. Enjoy the Jag. She is a super beauty.
The night time scenes reminded me of watching footage from the international space station 😅 … Especially when Joel slides backwards from the driver seat to the rear seats!
If someone had told me I’d enjoy watching someone live in a car I’d never had believed them😂 I was thinking of trying it in my Merc 190E but I think my neighbours might call the police.. plus I can’t see it being as comfortable 😢 Your coolant issue could be thermostat by the way… great content Joel!
I've tried this myself before 😄 But I parked in a much more private (no homes) spot with a nice view. I killed the battery by accident middle of the night (so had to call roadside services, it was free, but still) 😂 the damn alarm kept going off, so I couldn't stay in without the key partially activated, which uses battery 😅 I now bought a powerful booster that could start a car without even a battery. So I'm all prepped for that. I didn't think of the pillows, which are essential because with seats folded, the back of the car is a rock to lay in 😅 Having plenty of water is a must. Some snacks, powerbank for the phone and plenty of gb's data is a must as well 😅 Man you find the most fun things to do with a car dont you 😂😂😂
Great video. You can't beat an old V8 Jaaaag. So comfortable and still look great even as they age. I've had my 2007 XK for a few years now and I just can't think of a good reason to change it.
😂 This is more funny as you're just outside your house, I was hoping your neighbours would of past at 6:33 just as they hear you "Oh wow" as you're edging down into your boot 😂
I'm excited to watch, ive been calling my s type a camper jag for a month or so and traveling around Perth in Australia Enjoying the vid so much . You two will go far .
I recon your neighbour would probably be questioning why he can hear a muffled rendition of the Top Gun theme tune coming from a Jaaaaaaag than you eating in the back of it 😂
I would say the jag's problem is just something simple like a thermostat, but the fact that the air coming out of the vents is cold when the cars overheating sounds to me like it's the heat matrix that's packed up.
If the car run as it should, you would probably have made it. Might have been better to postpone the challenge until the coolant issue was resolved. Having crashed for a few hours in a car numerous times - in the summer, it's like sleeping in a sauna. In the winter, it's like sleeping in a fridge, so well done for 19 hours - but health takes priority :)
I had a failed water pump on mine and also a split expansion bottle. Hope it's not the latter as they are like gold dust and super expensive because of it! Although I know a guy who breaks S Types and sold him my V8 one after the timing chain jumped and wrecked the engine.
I cant help but feel this would of been a perfect challenge for the Land Rover. I have a 2005 Range Rover if you wanted to rekindle your (love/Not so much love) with Land Rover. Keep doing what you are doing!
@@itsjoel You didn't eat enough food. Id like a re-Test where you eat McDonald's x3/day(+3 Large Cokes) and see where your Intestinal Fortitude is at about 1900-2000GMT .... lol Also sorry about the Future DNA degradation from eating McDonald's McGMO Burgers for my personal entertainment...
Me 6'2 and my fiancee 5'7 both stayed 12 hours and overnight I'm her Peugeot 107, we did a similar thing with the boot and front seats forward etc, was very limited space but it's amazing what's possible, could have been way worse to be honest 🤣
What?! You should have been in the cadet forces from 13, and you probably would have made it. Grab the duvet and suck it up. Anyway, looking forward to the next one. Definitely punching lol.
Great effort but it’s unfinished business - now we need someone like Ecoflow to sponsor you and then you can setup with an electric blanket and mini heater for attempt number two 😎🤓💪
@@itsjoelok I think we can come up with a decent set of items you can run off the Ecoflow (other power banks exist 😅) and use them in the car. Kettle to make cups of tea, toaster and portable convection hob for breakfast, electric blanket, portable heater, tv/dvd player, games console the list goes on - could make for an interesting one 🤓😅🙏
I've had to un subscribe until you get rid this. Just worst jag you could buy. There's nothing to it basic, bland , boring, been reviewed and showed on UA-cam billion times. All best buddy
Couldn't disagree more . A lovely car to drive ,very reliable and is a great homage to the original.. So i guess beater cars can be occasionally great cars..
13:56 to neighbour moment is funny as hell.
Brilliant video Joel. Please tell Katie that the food looked amazing.

Wow thanks for the info. Sad to hear the og dealership is closed
‘What are you watching?’
‘A man living in his car for 24 hours’
‘Where?’
‘Outside his house’
‘Why?’
‘Dunno’
hahahahha
she's definitely a keeper, that was fun
the car or the missus? 🤔😅

Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching. Now you need to get one!
Do love these “24 hours in my car” videos, although I suspect it’s bloody hard work!
It's mainly just boring! And quite hard to film, but it's always a fun video so worth it
@@itsjoel Thanks for doing then
The night time scenes reminded me of watching footage from the international space station 😅 … Especially when Joel slides backwards from the driver seat to the rear seats!
the interior lights mannn😻
Bro you definitely one of my favourite UA-camrs. Really enjoy your content man. Great video. Looking forward to more
Thanks so much!

Congratulations on 70k subs !! Completely missed it 😂

Parking car with a nice view sounds great! Definitely would like to live in that for a day I guess haha

These 24hrs videos are my favourite hahaha congrats!
Glad you like them!
I love your videos Joel. You are seriously punching btw! Congratulations 🙌👌😂
Love the firework fondue! Watched it on Katy’s Instagram! 😃
So cool!
You are definitely punching above you weight mate. Love the channel.
You definitely did the right thing, could have been a carbon dioxide build up in the car
And what a total ⭐️ Katie is
Great video mate! I think you should do a 1 tank economy challenge with this car, like you did with the rover!
I love making those videos
loving the video
😂 This is more funny as you're just outside your house, I was hoping your neighbours would of past at 6:33 just as they hear you "Oh wow" as you're edging down into your boot 😂
Brilliant video!
Glad you liked it!
The coolant expansion tank cracks on these causing slow coolant loss. This causes overheating and loss of the heater.
I'm excited to watch, ive been calling my s type a camper jag for a month or so and traveling around Perth in Australia
Enjoying the vid so much . You two will go far .
I recon your neighbour would probably be questioning why he can hear a muffled rendition of the Top Gun theme tune coming from a Jaaaaaaag than you eating in the back of it 😂
Joel people say you should WITH a car not in it. Also loving the hotel lift backing music
Love this idea. Think I will give it a go. IN THE SUMMER TIME. lol
In relation to the issue under the bonnet. Could it not be the head gasket? I had an old Rover that used to have the same issues as your Jaguar.
Unlikely to be the head gasket. Oil is clean and engine still has all the power. Could always be wrong though.
Fair play to you bud you gave it a shot
I would say the jag's problem is just something simple like a thermostat, but the fact that the air coming out of the vents is cold when the cars overheating sounds to me like it's the heat matrix that's packed up.
Remove thermostat reassemble and check again, it's probably stuck closed

BMW E66 VIBES :P
Loved that car so much!
Be a stuck thermostat mate , doubt it will be anything major
When your neighbour was next to you one of them ones where you're scrolling settings on your phone 😂
pretending to be busy
Evening Joel……first in👍🇮🇲🤘
Your neighbour probably watches your videos lol
My postman does... haha
Really, 24 Hours without taking a Crap, Intriguing...lol
can you not hold yours for more than a day? You should get that checked haha
@@itsjoel You didn't eat enough food. Id like a re-Test where you eat McDonald's x3/day(+3 Large Cokes) and see where your Intestinal Fortitude is at
about 1900-2000GMT .... lol
Also sorry about the Future DNA degradation from eating McDonald's McGMO Burgers for my personal entertainment...
The BM (which was the first of your videos I watched) looked MUCH comfier.....😁
All in all, it was more spacious and so you're probably right
I love jaguar very good cars

That must have been a interesting thing to do, and it was on my birthday.
Happy birthday for the 5th!
Oh no! The neighbours! !
Is the cat still in the boot?😂

that sounds like a good plan

That’s still a respectable amount of time in a car. The question everyone wants to know is what do you do come toilet time?
I filmed a segment of me dealing with that particular issue, but lets just say it wasn't very youtube friendly... and thus didn't make the edit.
Absolutely funny challenge. But i think he's gotta go inside to shit a bit... Nice Video
Great video waiting until everyone has watched before declaring you failed you’ll soon be as big as the guy who thinks he’s a member of old top gear
Y Food bottles! Great for peeing when you’re living in a car!
Somewhere Joel you have a Mercedes 😂
Is it really stealing if you bought the key albeit accidentally
what a lovely woman!
Yea surprisingly enough you aren't inspiring me to do 24 hours in the Z4 😂
It's ok, I already did it so you don't have to!
Don't run your engine without coolant, it's not a good idea!
Just stop oil would love this car
how could you quit!
No way you left Katy on her own for the night, you definitely sneaked in the house for the night shift….
You failed !!!! Lol. At least most candid and honest. Wonder how many YT’er lied about doing the full 24 !!
honesty is the best policy!
Why buy a jag when you had a Range Rover ?
You're a very silly man.
I've had to un subscribe until you get rid this. Just worst jag you could buy. There's nothing to it basic, bland , boring, been reviewed and showed on UA-cam billion times. All best buddy
Lol bye 😂

Why 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's just made to gain Klicks, nonsense video
The issue of the heating and coolant issue sounds like your water pump my 2003 e46 had the exact same issue of overheating and no heat
Why buy a jag when you had a Range Rover ?
