Thank you! I've been struggling with putting together my first corset, so I came to youtube to search some inspiration to finish. It's really cool to see someone who has really similar bodyshape and size as me sewing their own clothes and especially modifying the patterns to fit properly!

Pre Glow Up princess looks tend to be my favorite. Dont get me wrong. Love a good ball gown but the feeling of cleaning my house dressed as cinderella or going for a walk in my belle cosplay is amazing.

Aurora has always been my favorite princess and I eventually want to make myself a costume one day 😅
It may not be a perfect fit but I'm in love 🥰

A tip: Add a little mini nail dremel/electric file to your sewing supplies to smooth out the ends of the boning. You can get one for around $10-$20. Makes it a lot easier to round them out.

What's funny for me is that I am happy to make a corset because Noelle at costuming drama said to remember it's just a bunch of straight lines and then when I realized that then I was good. I am currently still terrified of buttonholes. Lol

that is SUCH a good way to think of it! & yes I agree about buttonholes lol

It's so cuuuute!!! That outfit is truly iconic. The contrast pattern on the back panels is adorable, and using machine embroidery to get the look of flossing is awesome!

It's GORGEOUS holy crap! ❤ Now I've got the corset itch 😅 just wanted to add that as someone with a very similar body type to you, I'm so grateful that you shows the process of making a corset for YOUR body and up sizing from a pattern. I have that same butterick pattern and have been hesitating trying it out with up sizing the pieces. I'm thrilled to see it work so well for you!!

Love this look. If I may ask, what pattern did you use? I've used a few different patterns and always enjoy finding new ones to try out. Thanks!

You are very lucky that your body mass is more "squishable"/movable, that's what make it easy to fit the corset. with muscular mass, and non-standard proportions, fitting a corset is a nightmare...
