    I bought used front&rear R3 suspension to replace my old rusted suspension. I also ordered front camber adjustment upper arms from Hardrace. I have a hard time adjusting stock front camber. Stock rear camber adjustment is enuf for me.
    Great to c u back again.

      Good upgrades man. I never adjusted camber, so i would suggest for the front one to get it to a shop. i noticed that upon the recall where they had to cut some stuff in the front for the arm, they didn't adjust the camber. So it's a good thing i had to do the back :) Thanks man, glad to be back!

  • @devonswindell9735
    @devonswindell9735 2 роки тому

    You should've left them the way they came, then adjusted after installed. One side is right hand thread and the other is left hand thread meaning you can adjust in the car without removing them. This will leave equal threads showing on both sides instead of just one side. Either way nice video, I learned what that weird thing that attaches to the arm is.

    Nice! I might get some new suspension components at some point after my rebuild, that side of the car looks like it needs some new parts T_T... Been a while since you uploaded, happy to see u back. As for me, I'm running on fumes here, engine decided it was time to go... still drive-able, but it's not happy, running on ~80 PSI rear but ~50 PSI or lower on front :( hot starts are officially an issue. Question: So, the RX-8 has camber from factory... if you take it to a wheel alignment, the guys at the shop should know to adjust accordingly, no? As in, leave the factory camber settings, whatever degree they are.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  5 років тому +1

      Ohh dear.... i hope i have some cash aside for a rebuild. Already searched for the nearest rebuild place and got a quote? The guys that align the wheels should get all the parameters they need from the software they're using and set up things to factory standards, or to custom settings if a customer chooses so (Drift setup).

      @@Drivenbymadness Yeah I have been in contact w/ my local rotary shop for years now; I know how much it will cost me, but the budget is FAR from there right now; hoping the car will last me until I have enough for it, if not, I'mma have to spend money on intermediate steps (like getting a beater) which I hate doing... It's gonna cost me a pretty penny cause I'mma need new rotor housings and such :/ she's a weird one though... turned on in -30C weather this week as the polar vortex hit us. She still spits flames and pulls as if she's fresh out of the factory.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  5 років тому

      @@Snoopi25 nice! She's a fighter then 💪 a beater is not that bad of an idea in the long run. I myself got a scooter as a daily, and in winter I struggle a bit, and nostly us the rx8, but from april til oktober, its the best vehicle to use and I wouldn't want to drive any other 👌 saves me cca 100€ on fuel every month + I get free parking anywhere. Bit you kinda have to have a city that allows this lifestyle. If you have to travel a lot, especially on highways, then a beater is a better choice.

    • @Snoopi25
      @Snoopi25 5 років тому

      @@Drivenbymadness nope, I drive every day to a train station and then take the train to school, but once a week I need to drive to school because of late night classes... I drive 25 miles on the highway one way go and 25 on my way back. I go through 1/4 tank on that day lol (granted, I let it rip as soon as I hit the highway, doing 1st or 2nd gear all the way to 4th, and since I have low compression, my engine efficiency isn't as high anymore either, so MPGs suffer)
