Bro, you are going to be so good. I don't mean to say you're not good now, but you've got the potential to have the effortless perfection that Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten have. NEVER STOP PRACTICING. Super impressed kiddo.
Thanks so much! That means a lot me! My goal is to have the capability to put any of my musical ideas into practice and be able to play them, and to do so will take lots of skill, more so than I have now! There’s always so much more to learn!!
I recommend you to use normal narration when speaking in your videos. You don't have to try hard. Your channel defends itself with music and your bass playing skills.... YOU BRO! :)
Aaaaaargh, you sold a Stingray for the Status! The only upside is that Joe Dart and Sterling released a reasonably priced version of his Stingray that you will be able to afford if you get some of that sweet studio work. And now you don’t have a Stingray, so you have an excuse 😂
Yup, was worth the trade though. As soon as I saw that they had released it on May 1st I knew I had to get my hands on it one way or another (I’m a huge Joe Dart/vulfpeck fan!) Who knows, we may see some development come November on this channel…
@@iv4nbass once I’ve bought the Rob Allen fretless short scale piezo-pickup extravagance I want, I might shell out a couple of hundred for one of those Joe Dart Sterlings. So just the five grand to save up first… 🤣
Never come across Rob Allen basses. I’ll have to check them out. However, if you do want to get one of the Joe dart basses you may have to be quick as they stop selling them at the end of the month, unless you’re willing to wait until someone might sell one second hand.
do you finger pick using two or three fingers? i am trying to learn by using three. 123123123123 etc. is that a smart way to play or a really silly way to play? ive only been playing for 11 weeks but youre my biggest inspiration so far. how old were you when you started playing?
I usually use 2, but I do gander into the 3 finger territory. It’s something I wish I started sooner as you can get much more speed, pair this with precision and you’re on a winning stretch. I think initially learning with 3 is a fantastic idea! Please keep me updated on how it goes!
@@iv4nbass thank you so much for your kindness. at the moment i am trying to afford to support you on patreon but i am skint as a bitch at the moment. i will support you when i can

Thanks so much! I'm so thrilled to hear that I've inspired you! I've also only just realised I forgot to answer one of your initial questions: I started playing when I had just turned 8!
Would love to do more gear videos. However, I could never get rid of my Ibanez as it is my first bass. Also, if I sold the HB I'd probably only make enough money top buy a pack of strings
What a collection!!! 🔥
Thanks 🔥
Great video that Harley Benton neck looks massive, love the status the best instant Mark King sound
The Harley Benton neck is huuuuge!!!
I'M A FAN OF THE LAST BASS
Nice selection of guitars 👍
Thanks! I love them all (except maybe the Harley Benton, that one scares me!!)
5:29 LMFAO
Amazing to see all your basses, man!
WHY IS THE STATUS GRAPHITE STANDING UPSIDE DOWN ON IT’S NECK IN THE VIDEO THUMB? 😭😭😭😭
Thanks so much! The bass is upside down on the thumbnail the the body is in the video, I couldn’t hand it on the wall since there is no headstock!

Thanks a lot! I think at the beginning may have come across weird as I was making sure things were working, and I am still easing into the talking.
Agreed we’re happy to here your normal voice when you feel comfortable
