P.s, meant to say Anaconda CXE4, not CEX! 😂
I also think you said sire v5 instead of p5 ;D
Close enough for rock n roll
Hopefully you and your family are going to have a great 2024. Please be safe, healthy and happy 2024. Looking forward to hearing more great music.
Happy New Year and I hope your flooding days are over
Thank you so much! Me too haha, so much rain at the moment!
Love u Cici
Seeing your amps also looks interesting. Do you plan to discuss your amps & cabs anytime? Do you have a general go-to setup? Are there specific uses that you prefer the Boss, Ashdown, or anything else? Do you prefer the sound of certain amps/cabs with specific instruments? Just something I’ve been wondering for a while.
Merry Christmas Queenie!! you spicy bird!
Happy New Year!
Thank you Barry! you too :)
i've got a Hofner Clubman bass and i've left the cloth under the bridge!! nice collection.
Happy new Year. Ace Video.
My SR305 was found in a dumpster and looked as if someone dragged it behind a truck for miles. But.... polished up, somewhat, filled a few major neck dings, and removed water damage to live on! I love the neck/fretboard and overall sound.
Amazing!! Enjoy :)
Hey Cici, perhaps no better time than now to wish you a very Happy New Year! Wishing you peace, happiness, good health and prosperity, always. May the coming year draw you ever closer to all you aspire to. Thanks for all your enjoyable and interesting content. Looking forward to 2024!
Thank you so much Nigel, same to you and your loved ones! Really grateful to have you around :)
Happy new year Cici. I never wanted this video to end. A lovely human showing off lovely instruments. Smiley face.
Aww I’m so happy to hear that Paul, glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much :)
Greetings Cici! Thanks for this video, great collection here. It seemed to me (based on your words about some of your basses like Warwick Corvette) that you have a craving for bright sound and good playability. What I'd like to say... Do you know Spector? Well, if you have money, then Czech and American-made Spectors NS-2 look like a a champions in these disciplines. I mean bright clear tone and playability. At least in a more or less classic form factor, without multiscales and fanned frets or something like that. But if there is not so much money, then there is an ultimate solution: Tune Bass Maniac and his clones (like SGC Nanyo). They are inexpensive, plays great, and the sound is bright and clear, quite comparable to the Warwick and Spector models. Especially in custom models like TBC-4. And yes, unlike Warwick (for example, my 4-string bubinga Corvette is quiet heavy and it has broad neck), Tune basses are very light and ergonomic. Anyway I would like to recommend to dig for information about them, maybe these guys will hook you like they did me a couple of years ago.
Nice collection The beatles used a fender 6 string bass on the let it be sessions dont see them much theses days
Dream basses. I can scream when i see these instruments
Glad to hear the house is getting a bit better! Bit by bit. Love the basses btw
Happy New Year. Keep enjoying the music and it will be a great one. The world is changing fast and live music will become more important which can only be a good thing 🙂.
That's a crazy collection, you really got gems on there! Like you, I got a signature bass as my first bass. I was lucky to find that bass, it's a 2006 hard-to-find model. It's a Jackson Chris Beattie signature (from Hatebreed). I fell in love INSTANTLY for it… I felt you happiness with that first bass. I get that feeling, the time I got mine into my hands I felt the same.
I started on bass recently aaaaand I feel like I'm so bad compared with my mates, who like you started playing when they were kids (there's 2 guitars and a drummer). You know, everyday I felt like "I'm not good enough" and "this is not for me". Whenever I saw my bass the only thing that got into my mind was "Is this for me or maybe I'm just too old? Or maybe I'm dumb". I really thought on give up so many times… I also thought on getting a short scale because I'm so petite (like, really. My hands are almost like a kid haha). I'm happy that I didn't gave up. It's been around one month since I started and it's been two weeks since I learned Californication. I KNOW I KNOW, I went for a crazy hard one when I didn't even knew how to play… But, I'm persistent. Obsessive. And if something gets in my mind, I'll give 200%. I've learned a few more songs but I was so proud of myself of being able to get that song lol
You inspired me. We don't know each other but it was that feeling of being comrades. I feel like… We would be good friends haha Maybe it's a signal?
LOVE ❤ your videos Cici!! You’ve really built up quite a bass collection. Glad to see you give them all love & affection. I dig your ambient jams too. (And yes, you so happen to be beautiful.) Best to you!!! “Cozmik” Chuck 😊 -- bassist & so-so guitarist.
Hey CiCi, HNY 2024. Great to see the collection - on the six-string front we coincide with both having sunburst Fender Strats and a recently acquired Jet, mine being the JS400 with the humbucker. After a couple of mods, the Fender is sulking in its case! I do have vintage P bass though, affordable needless to say, a 1977 made in Japan Greco, often referred to as the lawsuit brand - they pissed Fender off so much they bought them out and became Fender Japan if the internet history is to be trusted. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend them - light, well-built and super playable neck midway between a Jazz and P bass at the nut. All the best…
Hey Cici. Happy New Year! Love your vids. Good tidings from Mississippi!
Just cutting up sheet steel with shears and listening until you got out the Admira Solidad and played it. That sounded absolutely wonderful.
A happy new year to everybody!
May all beings be happy!
And may all your basses continue to sound excellent 🙂 🎸!
Thank you very much! :) have a great one! (I still love your username 😂)
Party on Cici. Keep'em coming. Had the same hate-then-suddenly-loved the SG shape for guitar.
Haha amazing!! Good to know I’m not alone! Have a great one :)
Lovely, really nice !
Lovely collection, all the very best for the New Year 🎊 … I only have one question? Is Ibanez your preferred brand?
I also have small hands and I found the Ephiphone bass neck fits me well. I wish I can show u a picture from that day I went to the Gibson Garage in Nashville. Oh well always warm wishes to you and your family.
That's a lovely collection thank you for the tour, I hope you don't get any more flooding! We're swamped over here in Tewkesbury again.
Thank you so much! Ahh no I’m really sorry to hear that, I’ve never seen so much water in my life as the past 12 months!
@@CiciVonStrangelove I mean, it hasn't reached the house yet but the town is surrounded by a muddy brown moat now. It's getting closer... And closer... The guardian used a photo of the abbey here yesterday in a story about bad weather as if that's all this town is famous for. Maybe they're right!
Really nice collection. I enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing!
That Vintage is a lovely looking bass
Thank you, really interesting and informative overview, love the jumper! All the best for 2024!
Thank you so much Gavin! I’m really glad you enjoyed it :) have a great one!
Only 3mins in but I can't believe we're basically the same age, same city and started due to that same Paul Grey duality video on UA-cam! That's brilliant, happy new year Queenie, have a good one! You and Dave rock!
Haha that’s amazing!! Funny how things work out :) Thank you so much, happy new year to you!
Amazing collection and happy new year!
i adore you, i don't think you know how talented you are, you really rock your ass off, keep it up
That’s very kind of you to say, thank you so much :)
Amazing collection!! ❤️ 🤘
I love this girl
Impressive collection, as always! Looks like the Iceman didn't survive. :( Didn't you also have a Flying V? I like odd shaped and offset guitars and basses, so those always stand out to me. Anyway, thanks for sharing... Have a Happy New Year!
Happy new year - i hope things keep getting better in the new year!
Thank you so much Paul, love to you and yours! :)
What a wonderful collection and all in very good hands. Extra shout out to your cameraman, fine work Mr John. Obviously I’m going to pick the Harley Benton as my favourite but that’s mainly because of Cosmic Cruise, wonderful song. I wish you all a happy new year, may it bring you peace and happiness 🙂
Thank you so much Bob, and thank you again for that bass! It really is amazing :) I’ll tell my dad haha :) and same to you Bob!
Great collection you got there, absolutely awesome. Happy New Year ✨🥂🍾🎉
You are the first person I ever "met" who also has started playing bass because of Paul Gray! Wow, that is so cool. I've always thought that I was weird because of that but I am SO happy to know that I am not he only one who has been really inspired to pick up this instrument because of him.
Sorry if this is kind of rambly - I just wanted to share that with you Cici. Happy new year!
Thanks for sharing your collection and your enthusiasm!
Cheers!
Love your Fender Stratocaster. That's one of my favourite guitar models. Also glad to see your Exotic P4 bass again :-) that is probably my favourite bass of yours. That and the 20 pound bass :-) I remember seeing that in your Ace of Spades short !
Really great collection you got Cici. Thank you for showing us what you have. Happy New year 2024 and we will all see you in the new year.
It was great to hear the stories of your instruments. Thank you. Btw I love the “C” bass!
Thank you so much Mark! :)
Super nice video, Carina! Always a pleasure!
And great New Year to you and Dave! Still looking forward to the day you two, well, the Trio, does a US Pacific Northwest tour.
Cheers!

Excellent video thanks for staring your collection what a great arsenal of tools in your tool box! Would you be able t o do a pedal and amp video same style as this I would love to see them all! Happy new year and all the best!
That’s a great idea, thanks Matthew! Really glad you enjoyed it :) happy new year to you!
Hey Cici, loved watching the video. Memories of you turning up at my house with your Ibanez basses came flooding back :) Do you play the Bass VI much nowadays? I actually bought another one (a classic vibe version) but eventually sold that on too. Obviously not for me. What made it SLIGHTLY better to play was upgrading the bridge and using heavier strings but even then, it was too much of an acquired taste and I wasn’t really using it. Anyhoo, happy new year to you and yours! Russ x
A fine collection, despite the travails of this year. I hope 2024 is kinder to you and yours, and any additions to your collection are as surprisign and exciting as some of these.
Random aside: my first bass, which I still use, was a Cort C4. Made in the same factory as most of the Ibanez SR range and has a lot in common with them, although the neck is slightly flatter. I did upgrade the pickups in 2020 . . .
great video CICI!!! we love you and your basses!!!Of all the basses, I really loved the Ventura hippy bass!!!!
Aww thank you so much Grant! Love to you and yours :)
Great video.
Thank you cici..💐Some lovely instruments.
very nice collection, happy holidays 🎸
Thanks very much Mark! Same to you :)
What a collection! My own collection had 13 electric guitars, 1 classical, and 1 acoustic. It is miniscule compared to yours. Thank you so much for sharing. Enjoy your weekend. Cheers!
beautiful collection
Thank you so much :)
Impressive guitar skills, on top of being a world class bassist! Great video!!
That really means a lot Wade, thank you so much! :)
Great videos. I bought an Exotic P4 based on your review video and, oh wow, what an amazing instrument.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Keep up the great work!
What a nice and positive person! All the best:)
What a fantastic video have a wonderful happy holiday season also a fantastic happy new year cici ❤😊
Thank you so much Amin, love to you and yours! 💜😊
Another great vid Cici. Great that some six strings made the cut. Been after a versatile Tele for a while now and that HH sounds like it could really fit the bill 😁❤
A fantastic collection of bass guitars and guitars, that SCHECTER BASS P-4 EXOTIC is stunning, I want one !!, Happy New Year CiCi and eveyone 🎸😄
Thank you very much John! Happy new year to you :)
Well done CiCi😎👍👍
Looking at an Ibanez acoustic/electric thinline type nylon stringed guitfiddle. Should be interesting...?🤣👍👍
Happy New Year to you and yours 😎✌👍❤🖖
Such an amazing collection! Love seeing your passion for all of your instruments and your thankfulness and gratefulness. I think that makes you really stand out in this world! Have you ever played or considered getting a u-bass? Just curious. Have a great new year can't wait to see your next year's videos. Thank you got all you do.
Impressive collection! All the best for the new year 👍
Thank you so much John! You too :)
I saw these modern eastcoast basses and it sounded like a nice active bass, now that you said it recreated Justin's bass sound I'm even more curious! Anyway happy new year Cici!
Beautiful collection!
Thank you so much! :)
That is an insane bass and guitar collection. Beautiful instruments. Congratulations on such a collection.
Thank you so much Jeff! Love to you and yours :)
Just came across your channel for the first time. What a refreshing experience. Loved seeing your collection. I’ve heard a lot about Jet guitars but never seen one for sale. Do you know who sells them?
Happy new year too, from me and my extremely grumpy cat.
I’m so happy to hear that, thank you so much, and thanks for watching! They have Jet guitars at GAL, Gear 4 Music, and Merchant City Music :)
Haha happy new year to you both!
@@CiciVonStrangelove Nice one thanks. I’m a sucker for a recommendation. Will check them out. Merchant City Music is close by. I’m on the hunt for an affordable bass too. Pretty sure I am going to go with the Paranormal Rascal, lots of good things being said about it.
Happy new year 🎊 🎊 🎉🎉 hope 2014 sees you having your home how you want it to be!
Great collection, and there was me thinking my collection was big 😂. Mustn’t forget that the number of instruments needed = n+1 must we? I’m due for a bit of a clear out to make way for a few others that I could do with scratching that itch with!
Happy New Year Cici 🎉 looking forward to more videos this coming year ❤
Thank you so much! Grateful to have you around :) happy new year!
Great video Cici love that schecter P4 bass and the Adam Jones les paul great guitar abd bass collection.
I hope you have a great new year and can get your house all fixed back up soon keep rocking and making great videos!
I mainly play guitar and only play bass when I need to record it, but I love that red Warwick. My dream bass is a 5 string Warwick Corvette.
Did you know there is another Paul Gray bassist, He' has played with Eddie and the Hotrods, The Damned, UFO and many collaborations.
He plays Rickenbacker bass's and has a pretty unique technique that I compare to lead guitar.
He has been back with The Damned (my favourite band since 1978) for quite a while now.
Take a listen to the Damneds Strawberries and The Black Album for some of his best work, he has written some of the songs on the Albums, my favourite being The Pleasure And The Pain.
All the best CiCi, hope you are felling better!
Really sick collection! I love that epiphone bass! I really want to play bass guitar again, but I'd have to invest in all of that money that I did with my guitar equipment 😂😭
Thanks!
Wow, that is beyond kind of you, thank you so much :) that has come at a time where I really needed it :)
That Ibanez PCBE acoustic bass is great, I’m more of a guitar player but I bought one 8 years ago so I could have a bass in my collection. Ended up buying a 5 string to replace it but ended up keeping the acoustic as well haha, it’s very unique and I love the sound of it
I love how your videos are musical... Even while taking.... Who would have thought.... For a music channel 😂
This was really awesome to watch!
I'm sold on the Squire Bass 6!!! I had no idea an instrument was actually made like that. So I'm beyond intrigued to get my hands on one, even if it's just to hear and feel it lol
Super glad that the Warwick was saved from the flood, too! It's SUCH a gorgeous bass! (All of yours are, really. But still haha)
Yooo you got a PGB1 as well? Slay sis.
I got the PGB1L, love the thing
Also hey, also started cause of the Behind the player video!
That's sick!
Those Jet guitars are amazing. Such high quality for such a low price. I wish they made basses too
I enjoyed that! Good to see lots of cheap end instruments that often get poo poo'ed. Loved the vintage bass, they're great. ❤
Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it :) they really are great
Great collection, Cici! My three personal favourites are the surf green Jet, the Epiphone EB, and the SR700. Wishing you all the best heading into the New Year!
Great choices Alex! Thanks so much, same to you :)
My three favourites are the Ibanez Cash Converters Edition, the Green Sire and the Black Tele.
Nice choices! :)
I love schecter p bass . Vintage looks with modern tone like emg . Basically, this bass can handle any music . However, i prefer schecter session t bass 5 string because it got the j pickup . Very versatile. KEEP ROCKING
I have one of those low end sound gear basses. It's the SR300DX with the PJ pickups. It's probably one of the most ergonomic, lightweight, and comfortable instruments I've ever played. I actually love it, which is not what I expected for an instrument that cost me 100 bucks. The only thing I don't like about it is the active pickups but I don't know if I should spend the money to swap them out with some kind of passive alterative or if I should just buy a higher end Ibanez.
3:33 You often mention when talking about basses, whether they are heavy or not. I'm very curious exactly how much each of them weighs. I hope you can tell this in one of your future videos.
And also happy New year to you, and I wish you a lot of creative success next year!
My first thoughts based on the first 3 seconds. Bass sound bowl treatment.... count me in!
Haha I actually want to incorporate that! I also do reiki :)
That is actually not a bad idea. Personally, I prefer lower frequency tones, so that would be a blessing. An extra note now that we are having some kind of discussion, I really like your and Dave's videos. These are so real, not even a hint of pretending or trying to bring out anything else than your personal angles in things. That is REALLY rare these days, a huge thanks for that! I wish you both all the best for 2024 and years to come!
Nice video!
Thank you so much! :)
Always a good collection when there is a Schecter in it, you can't go wrong with a schecter😉
I've owned a 300 and 305 Ibby.. lovelly basses. My three favourite basses, two of which I no longer own, are a Warwick Rockbass Vampyre - pointy as hell but Soooo versatile, My old 1976 P bass (both of these are long gone sadly, and my 1991 Washburn XS-4 - bought it new in 1992 and it has outlasted everything else.
That’s amazing! (Still love your name haha!!)
@@CiciVonStrangelove Never realised you were 4'11.. same height as my wife! Good things come in small packages as they say
Amazing collection. Wow 😯
Thank you so much :)
The Adam Jones guitar is amazing!! How heavy is it if may ask? Always heard he likes the heaviest guitar s made..
I’ve not weighed it but would estimate between 9 and 10lbs :) they do vary slightly in weight, I’ve held heavier ones and slightly lighter ones, but they’re all fairly similar overall!
Remember reading something that Gibson tries to find the heaviest wood they can for him..
Lucky you.
Definitely! And also lots of saving and second hand instruments (and 13 years to do it in 😂) :)
Have you ever played double (upright) bass? I recently started and I'm having so much fun.
I have indeed :) I haven’t played in a long time but I’d like to get back into it one day! So cool that you’ve taken it up, enjoy!! :)
You’re like the prettiest and the coolest
i think your a gorgeous soul love and happiness to you and your family xx subd .
Thank you so much Pete xx
Beautiful collection!
If you had to choose just one bass for all genres and applications, which would you pick?
The Warwick corvette! :)
@@CiciVonStrangelove that thing is gorgeous!
You beautiful hair....banger hair 🤫
I had the same first ever bass!!
Ahh amazing!!
Love ur baby kitten
Just found this video, as I play Ashdown and have just watched your vlog from when you visited. Amazing that you and my wife have something in common, you're both 4ft 11" ! 🙂 But she doesn't play bass (or any instrument).
I am 6ft 3", so bass guitars don't look big 🙂
Love to all x
Aww that’s brilliant! Love to you both! Thanks for taking the time :)
that schecter bass ❤❤❤
The East coast ,I would really love to hear and see you play some Tool songs on it...does it sound better then the Warwick?
