Hear me out, for the main demigod children (Percy, Annabeth, Grover etc) I want completely unknown actors and actresses just like with Harry Potter. We didn't know Emme, Rupert, or Daniel until the first Harry Potter movie and they all grew with the characters and were the face of the characters. People still associate them with their Harry Potter counterparts! I want the same thing for Percy Jackson because then people won't be comparing them to their other works, and it can really jump start these kids' careers.
Of course, I won't mind either way but I think it would be cool if they found some talented unknown people to fill the roles.
I thought the exact same thing
Oh yeah and you want them to be bullied like Emma in school? :((
@@kuraama the Percy Jackson is cooler than the Harry Potter series realistic wise. I mean no one would get bullied for being “the son or daughter of a powerful Greek God”
@@itsproof2 You can never know
I couldn't have said it better!!
i feel like you guys luke pick is the most accurate casting i have seen for the character
Nice, thanks! He was tricky.
Definitely agree with that, I would still like him to be blond tho (maybe he could dye his hair) bc to me that’s a really important part of my picture of him.
100% agree, he looks so much like him, he can even do the smile that fits Luke's character. Imagining him with a scar and blonde hair ands its perfect
The ooooooh that came out of my mouth when I saw him
Unpopular opinion: now just like everyone else, I agree that the live action movies that currently exist r garbage. however, I think the actor that played luke did incredibly and I would higher him to play the older version of luke if the kid who ended up playing him couldnt do it anymore bc the one in the movies right now who plays luke was a really good actor- his character was just written terribly. with all the characters in the movie I don't picture them while reading the book, but with Luke I DO end up imagining the actors face
I don't want Hades to be particularly a villain because although he was the "villain" in Lightning Thief, he isn't for the rest of the series. At least, not really. More like a character Percy doesn't particularly like and vise versa.
He wasn’t even the villain in the lightning thief
@@august1837 that's why I put air quotes with villain. Although, Rick made him seem like a super bad guy in the beginning to the point of extremity like the world war II thing that I wonder if he was supposed to be the villain (or a villain) for the whole series and then Rick Riordan realized that Hades is probably one of the nicest gods in greek mythology (against rapists and such)
I know he isn’t really a villain but I still think he looks like one. His description in the first book is not very kind.
@@DoingOK yes, but a lot of his description is about his clothes, like he traps souls in his cloak as a punishment, but he is not evil.... its just that his whole family made him a outcast, he dosen't have a seat at the table, so he is jealous and petty.... he wants more than to just be seen as the god of the underworld, a job that seems A LOT more complicated than anyone gives him credit for, and yes he needs a darker look, but his darkness also has a lot of pain, I mean, he cared so much for Nico and Bianca he actually intervened to save them
@@DoingOK that's bc Percy is a little shit lol. also, in actual Greek Mythology Persephone is regarded as the cruel one. She and Zeus are the ones that come up with the cruel punishments
If Annabeth will look not like in the books again I will be verry mad😵
Oh wow, happy to see that there are so many people who agree with me😏 tnx for all the 👍
I was fine with how she looked in the movies because i couldn’t stop looking at her eyes, like she is very pretty and her eyes are beautiful
@@joshliekstwizzlers she is absolutely beautiful, but that doesn't make it right :|
I think from what I've heard there's a better chance of him having a say in the casting
@Allison Gammon then you care about the race lol
i rly hope they get her eyes right. the eyes, and hair are the things that mark her out as an athena kid in the books... if they don't get it right ima be soo upset ;-;
Okay here me out: Danny Devito as Dionysus
Edit: okay some people said he would also make a good Coach Hedge and I completely agree! In that case Robert Downey Junior would also make a good Dionysus cause we know he can act drunk (or maybe Jonny Depp?)
Edit 2: my sister also had the idea of Angelina Jolie playing Hera, as well as Ryan Renolds for Hermes, Julia Roberts for Demeter and Emma Roberts for Persephone. She had more ideas but I dont remeber them all.
Yes, beautiful
Yeah, and their pick for Dionysus didn't seem grumpy enough for the character. DeVito is good. He's also good for a satyr, though. Who they pick for the character in the movies wasn't completely terrible. He did look the part. But DeVito is absolutely good.
I like that option too
What I actually picture when reading the books.
Exactly who i picture when reading the books
Your Luke casting seems spot on he’s got the jock/scary eyes quality
Still I imagine him buffer
The Harry-P-Franchise got 8 Movies
and so much Funding for those,
but P.Jackson aint worse when
it comes to the Book's Quality!
Think about that!
We will almost certainly get less than
we and these Books deserve!
Yes, i fully expect the cartoon to be
better than the laughable Movies - but is that
really what we want to settle for?!
I hope that this Author shows his Love for Detail and even
levels it up AND THEN, when the Cartoon was a Success,
he instantly goes on to Raise funding for more.
i feel like ure actor for clariss is best for thalia
That’s a really good call.
I was thinking Silena, but Thalia works too
@@savannahwestover2538 I was thinking Drew but she isn’t known in Pjo only in HoO so yeah actually she might be great for Artemis just putting out suggestions
Yeah
Ooo yeah
I wouldn’t cast Chiron as a 78 year old man simply because I would worry he wouldn’t last through the series (think back to the replacement of dumbledore in Harry Potter). Maybe that’s me but I feel it’s risky to pick someone that old!
Very fair haha. Especially if we want him around for Heroes of Olympus too. I’ll think on other options.
I would honestly risk it, that pick just works perfectly. Plus, I’m pretty sure Ian McShane is immortal.
Well pick someone who is their 60s-70s not YOUNGER you want them to look like they’ve been around for 2000 years
@@browhat9349 but chiron is described as looking middlw aged you dont want a 70 year playing a 40 year-old nan
That's what I was thinking too. Although him as Chiron would be amazing
wanted to throw out the fact that Mckenna Grace was in gifted which I feel like shows some experience playing a geniunely smart character like Annabeth.
yah!
smart looking just like Annabeth.
and that she has experience too
shes already 14 almost 15. annabeth is supposed to be 11
@@averynored6249 still, i always pictured annabeth looking very similar to Mckenna Grace. That's just me but at least she's closer in age then the movies right? lmao
Grammar though...
Lila K Grammar?
i don't think the gods' "race" matters much in relation to their children. they can change their appearance to whatever right? and besides a few signature physical traits (like athena's gray eyes), the children don't usually take after their godly parent i dont think. Nico is very pale, but Hazel has dark skin, even though they have the same godly parent. Pluto is also described as pale, but Hazel does not look biracial, she said she had the same dark complexion as her mother.
It was stated that gods don't carry genes. So it's likely that the physical expression of their god parentage is dependant on cultural coding rather than genes. So as long as the race is not significant to a god's cultural identity (most are not) it shouldn't show up on the child. So the race traits of the kid will likely be 100% the mortal parents'.
Hazel isn't biracial but Percy seems to be. Percy was mentioned to have a Mediterranean-like complexion which may make sense as it may hold cultural connotations of the Mediteranian Sea. I think this is how that works. Other gods have other cultural coding not related to race like rough big hands from Hephaestus while the Aphrodite kids will be hot relative to modern standards rather than Ancient Greece standards. I hope you get what I am saying with this horrible ramble.
@@yiklongtay6029 I think I get it
Biracial children can have dark skin. There are biracial people who take after one of the parent’s skin tones completely. For example, the twins who had completely different skin colors. One twin was a redhead with pale skin, while the other was black.
I wouldn’t say that Hazel isn’t biracial. She is described as having light brown hair and golden (amber) eyes, traits more commonly found in white populations. She should have dark skin, but she has lighter phenotypes as well
It is stated quite a lot how some siblings have similar features though
When you think about it its ABSOLUTELY correct! Zues has black hair and Jason has blonde hair because his mother had blonde hair
someone's probably already said this, but having zeus/jupiter as a Black actor wouldnt be an issue as gods don't have DNA as clarified in the series, like Olga said they can change their appearances
But their kids still get most of the godly traits tho. example: percy having raven black hair with green eyes same as poisieden. Thalia has the same eyes and hair as zues.
@@rylindlusk2208 I mean, that's only really true for some of the gods, like how the Hermes kids look not much like Hermes and very different from each other.
Just give him blue contacts
@@iconicplatypus7700 yeah, but its not as drastic as changing races. If they think they can pull it off with godly DNA being the reason than im fine with it. It's just not originally correct
Al West Yeah, but grammar? The start of a sentence being big?
Honestly the Demi-gods usually don’t look all too much like their godly parent aside from certain characteristics. Like Athena kids have grey eyes, Hephaestus kids have rough hands, etc, so Jason can have an African American Zeus for a father and still turn out the all American boy if he takes more after mom. The only issue I have with the race bending is that these are Greek Gods and I feel they should resemble that
The thing is they are gods so they have no actual look they always are changing how they look to mortals they’re able to change shape and how they look other than one set look like the Athena having the grey eyes or Hephaestus Rough hands or Aries being big and bulky or Apollo having golden blonde hair
@@tasiaa2711 that’s true, but in the Riordanverse they do have a true godly form that mortals can’t look at, and it’s only different based on which god they are at the time, like Jupiter’s true form is different from Zeus’ a Greek gods true godly form should be Greek in appearance.
I think when casting a character you should ALWAYS take a characters background and most likely race into account when casting if you don’t know the race. I don’t like black washing any more than I like whitewashing. Adding black characters where they should be white is just as much an erasure.
Specifically in the cases of the new Annie or the proposed live action little mermaid. Those were both pale redheads and the red head is important to their character. It’s a visual characteristic of their spunk and fire, specifically Annie (as the original pre-Disney little mermaid was a blonde)
I love having racial diversity but if you add it in places where it doesn’t make sense, you just get tokenism like Grover in the last iteration of Lighting Thief.
@@brittn2410 Except mermaids don't exist so can be any race.
@@heartlknj neither do Greek gods. My point is that characters should remain the race they’re most likely to be. The little mermaid falls in love with a prince, and the fairy tale most likely speaks of a Scandinavian background. Those are traditionally pale skinned and fair haired peoples. The original little mermaid was a blonde.
No mythical characters are “real” but the way they’re described in books and other literature is important and should be respected. Remember how pissed everyone was about annabeth in TLT the movie, and all they changed about her physically was her hair colour.
When an author creates a character and sets a physical description for them, thats who they are. Nothing else. Forcing diversity, especially into a universe that’s already insanely diverse, just for the sake of doing it, is gross and pandering.
@@brittn2410 although i see your point about looking to the background of the character, i personally think that being slightly less 'historically' accurate but more racially diverse is more important. hollywood and tv shows/films in general have such a a lack of representation. i believe its more important for kids to grow up being able to see themselves in media, as a caucasian i was lucky enough to read and watch things where there were characters that look like me. besides the gods can change how they look and probably would thousands of years later. as a pale redhead myself (though obviously i dont speak for everyone) i was totally okay with the "blackwashing" in annie and im all for a black little mermaid. its time the film/tv show industries get their act together and start properly representing all people.
I think the Annabeth and Luke choices are perfect, but I really hope for Clarisse they get someone with a body type more like the one described in the books (or at the very least not a stereotypical skinny girl like they did in the movies) because as a bigger girl myself who loves Clarisse I need to see my girl represented accurately for myself and other girls with similar body types as we don’t often see them represented in movies and shows and stuff like that. Also I’m 14 now so Disney if your reading this id be honored to play Clarisse...
Yeah, we really wanted to find someone with that body type but sadly it’s so rare to find known actors with that physique. Still on the hunt because I’m gonna do another one of these videos.
Dream big I wished they casted me as Luke but I’m 15 not 18 see the difference?
@@browhat9349 but the series would be done in at least Two years, you'll be 17, and that's enough

Rick Riordan if you’re here plz choose me I have blond hair blue eyes 5’6...is that too short to be Luke? If it is well dam I’m small if not then can I sign up?
Yes! Also mean girls the musical woo
honestly if grover's actor was a little older than the rest of them (ex. percy = 12 grover = 14) that wouldn't be horrible. ofc he'd have to be passing for a 12 year old BUT it is canonically said that satyrs age differently. in the first book while he looks 12 (debatable bc of percy's description of him having a small wispy beard) he is actually 24ish (couldnt find an answer for tlt but it is said that for every year humans age satyrs age 2 so 12 x 2 = 24)
I think he was 28 in the lightning thief.
@@elizabethblack2674 Wasn't he 24?
@@angelinaelchammas2506 nope, he was 28, so he was around 14 years old. I'm re reading plj and Chiron mentions it in tlt
@@Anonymous_P Huh, guess I forgot
Yes, and Percy mentions on several occasions that Grover looks too old for 6th grade and must have been held back, commenting on the acne and whispy facial hair.
Okay but I really wanna see a kid play Percy that has a Mediterranean look, he is supposed to have that rich olive complexion and dark hair. I mean you can always change hair with dye and contacts for the eyes but, you can't change complexion and ethnic background.
"She's the velma in the scooby doo..."
LEGALLY BLONDE'S PERM MURDERER STEP DAUGHTER???!
Oh my gods I had never made that connection!
RIGHT?
Chris Hemsworth should be Zeus, he’s intimidating and looks the part, not saying that Bc he’s Thor.
Mhmmm
Zeus looks older though. Hemsworth is too young.
Sir that’s Norse mythology
@@adityyuh Exaclty. I would have him as Ares instead. His look in Ragnarok is all it.
And he has the voice as well!
I think one important casting you left out would be Aphrodite. It’s mentioned in the books that she appears different to everyone so I do think multiple actors would play her but she would still have a main actor who would be more in most of the scenes. Personally I would choose zendaya for the main role and then maybe two or three other women who are diverse and with different body types as well.
We only did people who would show up in book one since season one is based on that. Maybe we’ll do a follow up with the broader cast of characters. I agree that Aphrodite should be played by multiple people.
Percy describes her looking like Annabeth tho
Are you sure? I thought she had two distinct identities and appearances. One for the Greeks, one for the Romans. The gods' appearances and demanor canonically change over time to reflect Western Culture, but they are always consistent at a single point in time
@@yiklongtay6029 Aphrodite is said to change to look like whatever the person looking at her finds most attractive afaik
@@yiklongtay6029 she looks different for everyone supposedly, whatever their definition of beauty is that’s how they see her. It’s actually mentioned once or twice in the series I think and also in “Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods”
i always thought logan lerman was a good percy jackson, however the fact that they aged him up and tried to smash a dozen stories together was the main problem. like book series should nine times out of ten be a show.

I always thought that about Lerman too. He would have been a /fantastic/ Percy... if this was Last Olympian
I love the casting for the movie, the only problem was the script and how they wrote the characters if they dyed Alexandra's (Annabeth) blonde in the first movie and made her more like a daughter of Athena than Ares, I would've actually enjoyed the movie
The actors were not bad
Me: Sees Percy Jackson
Me: leaves everything I was doing and watches
Yes! Linda Cardellini is such a good pick. She was Wendy in Gravity Falls, so Disney connection.
I like David Tennant for Hermes. I just can't help but think about the scene where Percy is like why did you abandon Luke and allow him to grow so resentful.
David Tennant as Hermes is very interesting! I wouldn't have thought of him but that's a cool pick!
@@DoingOK I read the book after binging Who and it was in my head as an odd choice but I could totally see it working.

@@bladedninja8853 I know he's not gonna get percy I would love to see him as posiedon even though he's gonna be shorter than Percy jacksons actor
These are the most accurate picks I've seen for a Percy Jackson fan casting in so long
I can’t be the only one who still wants Logan Lerman be involved in the films as Poseidon.
Even though the films were awful, he was a good actor in it.
And has anyone seen the pictures of him with long black, grayish hair? I mean-
Like, I grew up with the books and, even if I hated the movies, Logan Lerman was still Percy's face for me. So I have that nostalgia factor, and agree that it would be nice to see him again. And maybe that would be a chance for him to "redeem" his image too!
Who knows, maybe he'll be Paul 🤷♀️
I think he still looks a bit too young for Poseidon... but they can probably age him up with make up then I would absolutely love it!
@@Diana-lg8vp OMG I WANT THAT
@@forgetmenot277 well i think it could work, cause the gods can change their appearance at will, so maybe if he looked on the young side it'd be okay. maybe they could let the actors who played annabeth and percy be gods or somehow put them in the show. i think it'd be really cool. but even though the movies sucked, i think it'd feel right to make a little nod to the original actors who got their possibly iconic roles slandered by bad screen writing.
I realized as I was editing this that we could use both of our Zeus picks. Woodside as Zeus (making Thalia a poc) and Starr as Jupiter so Jason looks like Jason.
My fancast would be: Percy Jackson-Cobra Kai's Tanner Buchanan or Xolo Maridueña
Millie Bobby Brown or Marsai Martin as Annabeth Chase
Miles Brown from BLACK-ISH or WHEN THEY SEE US actor Asante Blackk as Grover
Luke Castellan-Gaten Matarazzo or J.J. Totah
Rowan Blanchard or Brec Bassinger as Thalia Grace
Diego Tinoco or Jason Genao as Nico di Angelo
Olivia Rodrigo or Isabela Moner as Bianca di Angelo
Zendaya or Amandla Stenberg as Rachel Elizabeth Dare
Dev Patel or Rami Malek as Chiron
That’s a great idea! It’s said many times throughout the Heroes of Olympus series that Thalia and Jason look nothing alike, and what better to bring racial equality than to have 2 children of Zeus be equally badass and siblings, but different races. I LOVE this idea
Thalia as a POC would be great as we don’t often see black women with her aesthetic on screen, not to mention all the imagery/connotations of being a huntress of Artemis.
@@ZIASBLOU they're too old
i literally always imagined thalia as black when reading the books even with the descriptions
And don't forget, mackenna was also on the movie gifted opposite chris evans. She's awesome.
Personally I’ve always imagined mellissa ponizo from teen wolf as sally jackson she just gave off the perfect vibe and looks just like I think she should and looks like percys mom in my mind and she’s not super well known she’s well enough known to be recognized but not like super famous
I love this!
EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT DHE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO COMES TO MIND!!! IT WOULD BE PERFECT
I had to google her and yes she's exactly how I imagine Sally!
i was literally thinking the same thing-
*Ponzio**
The alt for Percy seems more fit for Nico tbh and the first for annabeth is so accurate.
yeah but he'd be too old i think :(
Annabeth and Percy should be kinda unknown but have a few small credits almost like Harry Potter was
I always imagined luke looking like the guy who played Finnick Odair
Omg yes 😂
AAAHH, I really can't wait.
Can't wait to see bby annabeth and percy and grover, and all the iconic scenes like "you drool when you sleep" and stuff like that...it'll be fun...and it'll bring back all the memories!
Omg I think Mckenna Grace would be perfect for Annabeth. I love her, she is such a talented actress I feel so dumb for not thinking of her before. She looks like Annabeth she even has her grey eyes which is pretty dam awesome.
i think so too, she can also be Thalia, or even reyna, she look smart and an action star 😂
Yeah but we should let other talented actors who are unknowned work just like Harry Potter like someone said plus she’s doing great and has been doing a lot of stuff recently
I personally disagree. Yes, she's an amazing actress but she's also very well known. I feel like the main 3 kids should be played by unknown actors so we can strongly connect them to the characters (also, unknown doesn't necessarily mean unexperienced or bad. I go to an art school for music but you can study acting there as well and there are some great actors there who have never been in anything). I do think McKenna Grace would make a good Artemis (although she might look a bit too old by then). Artemis is a goddess who mostly appears as a 12 year old. I feel like it's okay to cast well-known actors as the gods and I personally don't think many 12 year old actresses could pull off the role of a 2000 year old, mature goddess who just looks like a 12 year old. I feel like McKenna Grace has both the experience and skills to pull off something like that.
@@Noortje-ns9dz I mean, I think they should have an open audition for every character in the book so that every actor gets a chance and the best actor for the role would be picked, but excluding well known actors would actually make mean that a lot of really good actors perfect for the role wouldn't get to audition, which is just plain stupid.
Ya but she’ll be 16 by the time they start filming so they won’t cast her
Okay I haven’t watched the video yet, but I just want to say...
BRADLEY JAMES AS APOLLO!

Antony Starr as Zeus and James Spader as Mr. D is PERFECT. Anybody with 2 brain cells could see how perfect that casting is.
One thing to remember too is that Grover is like 32 in Lightning Thief (which is 16 human equivalent) so he could honestly be cast slightly older than the other kids
I re read the book recently and i think it was mentioned he is 28
@@forgespolyglothouse3555 same point tho

I’m am SO stoked
tbh, i love the books so much, and I know there wouldn't be a chance they'd find actors who would look completely alike with their description in the books, but i'd be glad if they put even minor details like annabeth's gray eyes and blonde hair, luke's scar and percy's sea green eyes, especially when those things were what made them stand out looks-wise in the books
Oh my god ! Your Ares pick is great, Fimmel has the cruelty, the cunning and the cynism, it's perfect !
Karl Urban as Zeus, Tom Mison as Poseidon, lena Headway, as jealous Hera. Ruth Wilson as Athena, John Cena as Ares, Justin Hartley as Hermes. Logan Leeman as Apollo, Alexandra Daddario as Aphrodite, Morina Baccarin as Demeter, Erin Moriarty/Naomi Scott as Artemis, Craig Parker/ Tom Ellis as Hades, Lee Arenberg as Haephaestus, James Spader/Neal McDonough as Dionysus, Donal Logue as Chiron, Sonequa Martin-Green as Oracle,
Justin Hartley as Hermès would be perfect
I absolutely love this casting list!! All the people you picked fit the personality and looks so well.
OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN SCREAMING ABOUT JACOB TREMBLAY AND MCKENNA GRACE AAAAAAAAAAAA
Something that gets forgotten a lot for some reason is that Grover is not supposed to look Percy's age. In the first book its explained that despite being in Percy's grade, satyrs age faster so Grover looks more like a highschool kid. Idk if they'll stick with this in the adaptation but it does open more casting doors.
Anthony as Zeus was the best pick on the entire video! He has that Zeus energy, and now I only can picture the character as him

I absolutely Love your fan casting it blew mine straight out of the water
Thanks!
Percy's birthday is in the beginning of August. By the time he gets to camp half blood in the first book its late May or Early June. So he is almost 13
Oh my oh my I would LOVE to see Sean Maguire again, I would never have thought of him! Well done, guys!
Only 5mins into the video and I already think you guys have picked so carefully and excellently and I’m grateful as a fan of the series so keep it up👍
mckenna is such a good pick for annabeth omg
I think Colin O’Donoghue would fit the role of Poseidon as well!
Bro, August Maturo as Grover, PUH-LEASE. I saw Sean Maguire for Poseidon and I literally screamed "yes!"
Personally, I thought the actor from the first movie was a PERFECT Chiron, that was the one cast member that I was like, DO NOT CHANGE THIS IT'S PERFECT
I agree. If not him, somebody with similar age range/looks/vibes
@@elizabethw390 I agree, I wasn't happy with the casting change in the second movie
@Amber If they cast him again, I doubt anyone would complain, because he fit the character perfectly
...The Harry-P-Franchise got 8 Movies
and so much Funding for those,
but P.Jackson aint worse when
it comes to the Book's Quality!
Think about that!
We will almost certainly get less than
we and these Books deserve!

I wanted to audition for Clarisse bc I really like her character and we have similar body shapes, but I'm asian and Clarisse wasn't... but then when you cast Peyton Elizabeth Lee, I started to frek out bc I thought that bc I was asian I'll never get to be an option for being Clarisse but now, I'm really happy that not bc of being asian I can't audition and that is something really exiting for me and for other people that have different characteristics compared to the characters (also bc you casted D.B. Woodside), sadly, I don't know how to make an audition and don't know if Clarisse has already being casted... anyway, thank you for giving me and other people hopes
I want to audition for Clarisse to, good luck! I don’t believe any characters have been casted as of yet, and I think Rick said on his blog thing that he would say if the auditions were open and I’d imagine it would be easy to find out how to audition seeing how popular the books are and they want to have unknowns. Also, I don’t think Clarisses ethnicity is ever stated so I think as long as you have a similar body type I think you would be fine!
@@ava_121 Thanks, also good luck on your audition
@Yuna Kaneko Lee if they like acting, then why not? And what makes you so sure that they have 0 acting expierence?
Besides, not having expierence doesnt make u bad at acting. Look at emma watson, before harry potter no one knew who she was and she's super succesful now. What's wrong with ambition and having goals and not having set restrictive limits for themselves? Maybe you should go do something else innstead of writing negative comments to make people feel bad.
Linda would be a GREAT Sally!!

your second picks are so much better than your first choices lol i dont know these kids but im like "thats annabeth and thats percy. he could even be nico"
I’m super excited for it! I think you guys did a great job casting🙂
Thank you so much!!
Sort of a weird pick, but I really hope Manu Bennett plays Ares.
I don't know why. I just love his New Zealand accent and I think it would work really well.
That is a cool pick! Love him.
Tough guy with the ability to be contemptuous towards others, notably Percy. Pretty cool idea. Unsure If I can believe someone like Manu can be floored by a 13-year-old in book 1 though.
HOLY FUCK, CANT FUCKING WAIT. IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONGGGGGGG.
LOVE IT!!!! I’m getting sooo excited
The wholesome, evolving Romance is also
a big deal to not mess up!
I’m gonna talk to my agent to see if I could audition for Thalia,I’m 12 rn so idk buttttttttt ya know?
Good luck if u do audition! Tell me if you get the part! (Also Thalia is like 13 I think? So you’ll be older my the time you start filming the parts Thalia’s in
@@wateringcan5369 Which is probably fine right? It said she looked in between 15 and 13 cause she was a tree for a while and so she was actually 15 but was human for 13 years so being 14 would actualy be kinda perfect
@@anikalewis5544 ooh ya ur right
I hope you get the part
remember us when ur big and famous
For sally I would choose th girl who played aunt may in spider man
I like that!
That sounds really good
Omg that pick for Luke is good! I imagined him more sandy-blonde tho, I stay really true to those original Lightning Thief descriptions and I really want them to look like that on screen haha, childhood me wants to see them ring true to my face!!
I'm really exicited for this and I plan to when I have time to reread the entire book series
I doubt that anyone can play the older time, when Percabeth graced our lives
Is this now a Cartoon or not?
I heard contradicting stuff.
I think Mia Talerico would make a great Annabeth! She’s the actress who played Charlie in Good Luck Charlie
I remember watching that show. I was not ready to find out she was 12. 😂👴🏽
Clarisse is said to wear a 3XL tshirt so it would be really nice to have someone plus sized act her, or someone with at least a widely-built frame. Representing all body types is really important in a childrens show
I absolutely love this cast. I could image them all Sooo well
Some good Annabeths would be Mia Talarico (the little girl who played Charlie on good luck Charlie) she is 12 years old . Also Ava Kolker who played that little girl on girl meets world she is a bit on the older side 14 but if they are filming soon it could be her and they both have that Disney connection

How about Charles White as Percy Jackson. Let that thought simmer in.
Number one, perfect ❤️😘
omg i’m so excited for this!! juts not another lighting thief please 😫
Oh my gods Luke is just PERFECT
The thing about when casting children is 90% of the time, they choose an actor who is older than the character they’re playing
Fantastic ❤️
I've waited my whole childhood for this
Jacob Tremblay oh my gosh, why do I keep forgetting about this kid? It's PERFECT! I mean he's 14 now but I don't think it would be an issue if they hurry up. At least he's not too close to 18 because if you choose some one to play some one who's very young you don't wanna cast anyone much older than that. Also I think the best actors I could think of to play Tyson would be either "Julian Dennison" or "Robert Capron". Reasons for this is because they both basically have the right body type for the character. I don't think their age would matter because Tyson is big and tall and has deep voice.
Is this now a Cartoon or not?
I heard contradicting stuff.
The alternative actor for Percy SHOULDN’T be the alternative. He seems better than the other one
I can’t wait for the series 😆😆
I’m 21 now but my 12 year old self is praying this is better than the movies. WE DESERVE IT.
They could do Percy Jackson as an animated show. It would give them more leeway in the casting. Plus there are some things you can pull off with animation easier and better.
Why isnt it one?
Thats so stupid.
I heard it IS a Cartoon?!? What??
First! Been looking forward to this for awhile
I love these picks and feel like you were so thoughtful with them. A lot of people just pick the hot now actors or the biggest names. I wish this was being made when Sabrina Carpenter first came on the scene, because I think she would be an A+ Annabeth, but has aged out now. And I LOVE D. B. Woodside as Zeus BTW.
I honestly thought of James Spader as Mr. D already. Probably because of the scene in The Office where he gets drunk with Gabe, Toby and Oscar.
