Nice one Bob. Thank you. Is it overpriced? The majority (including myself) will say yes. However, when you factor in that some potential buyers make that sort of money in an hours work, then it’s not really an issue. For me, I’ll need a winning lotto ticket to justify it. It is drop dead gorgeous though with an impressive amount of kit.
drop dead gorgeous but same weight as a multi and 40 less hp, non cross spoke wheels, and plungy looking suspension , but very sexy non the less
Yay, the 1001th adventure bike that got released this year..
It's getting "has gotten" very, very tedious.
Do you know of any plans by Yamaha to come out with a 900 Tenare?
Continue 🕊️⚖️. What legend bike..
With price tag too! 😅
Just off the bat, this reminds me of a bike from Cagiva. Say late 90s? Forget the name. Oh and a Aprilia Caponord. Loved the styling and here too!
Navigator?
The BMW F900GSA with the Ride Pro package is £7K cheaper. With an adventure bike it’s not about BHP as you are not going to race these any day soon, anything over 100bhp is a bonus but not necessary, it’s all about cruising steady speed, see the sights, take your time, and with a extra £7K in the bank that would take you a lot of miles
yeah my thinking too. i like to do lots of miles at a slow pace. i'm thinking a NX500 Honda might do the trick for me 😊
think ill wait for the tenure 900 to be revealed
New Morini Xcape 1200 could be the fly in MV’s ointment 🤔 or a Tracer 9GT+
Lol try and get parts in 10years for a morini
One is made in China, the other in Italy. No contest whatsoever.
@@henryvaneyk3769Morini designed in Italy 🇮🇹 mind and with latest Piera deal we may see MV parts being made in China at some point too, way easy to dismiss the Morini but comparable heritage, and they have made some sweet bikes. At least I have a Morini dealer in Scotland, not so MV anymore 🤷♂️
@@MrDEANOSCOOLVIDS the engine is more or less the same of the corsaro/granpasso/scrambler (been around for 20 years or more), it is the lambertini corsacorta v twin, not some cheap chinese parallel twin.
😂 It's an incredible living room ornament 🙈
Looks cool without the beak.
The Pan America has different ECM flashes depending on which tire you run too.
Given the cost, my preference would lean towards the 1300 GS or the Multistrada V4, both of which provide more features compared to the MV Veloce. The latter falls short due to its excessive weight and absence of advanced technology such as radar and adaptive dampers. It appears MV has introduced this model 5 years too late.
Well said!
Haha, you're comparing this Italian piece of art to a Volkswagen??
Yeah usually I give MV a pass, not this time. This should be at least 3k cheaper. And for once I don't think it necessarily looks better than the Ducati Desert X.
No, IT DOES NOT, by a long shot !
The Desert X looks snazzy. 🤘
Maybe if MV had kept the round headlights to milk the retro cow more.
@@GIGABACHIthey’re not the same thing.
Desert x is an off-road bike, the mv is a sports tourer with off-road looks.
No, comparing it to a Volkswagen is wrong.
Where is it made?
From what i understand, hand-build in the Varese Workshop as are all MV Agustas. And in a chat with one of the Pierer Mobility directors a while back, it seems they will keep production there for the forseable future.
I love mv agusta in general but with that price, I will go to the multistrada v4, it's not only cheaper but way more logic
They need to get the price down in line with Ducati bikes if they want to sell. They should start raiding the parts bins at KTM for suspension wheels etc to get the prices inline. The DesertX is already an amazing bike. I don’t think they’re going to compete
Fantastic bike, expensive but hey its an MV Augusta
dessert x from the side, africa twin from the front view
Spec sheet racers won’t get it but anyone who’s ridden an MV triple on the road or track will understand why they *can* be competition for the litre plus category models. Certainly it’s inappropriate to compare them to much more common or garden middleweights from Triumph, Yamaha and BMW which simply aren’t premium models with nothing like the same feature set or componentry. They have a pretty compelling power to weight ratio compared to the 150hp +1200cc behemoths & far greater agility especially in the twisty stuff. That said, I can understand why Pierer was dead against them releasing this model. It’s even less of a serious off road proposition than the Multistrada Enduro. Be good to see this engine turning up in some new MV road bikes soon.
not only... yamaha has tracer with triple
that's a sport tourer not an ADV
All Tigers are tripples.
MV is going to ruin my financial status for many more years to come.
Super tenere
Looks like Africa Twin
Still waiting for a Tenere 450.
Tuareg 450 with the new platform
It looks a bit like an Africa Twin, which is a very good thing in my book. It does seem tho that these bigger "adventure" bikes are going the way of sports bikes - soon no one will ride them as they will be too big, too tall, too expensive to buy and repair esp. if you drop one, not suitable for proper offroading on a "real" adventure etc etc. Starting to look like statement pieces IMHO.
Any bike above 10k goes from a "want" to a sneaky tax write off 😼
begins CEO ktm
This is suit & tie guy's ride on a mild weekend away from his boring office job.
Those guys would prefer a nice Ducati or BMW...
And for middleweight off-road you have crazy good options vstrom800 transalp f900 gs tuareg desert x tiger 800
The type to put on 900 miles in 5 years…to each their own though
Suit and tie guy must have a pretty good job!
I do not like this livery, the lucky strike was far better. I wonder if other colour schemes will make it more appealing
Who is this for? I can't imagine anyone riding this across Central America.
It would be unwise to ride an MV outside of AAA towing range of a dealership. Lest you drop a valve and grenade the motor in the middle of the desert
If you're going across central America in anything other than a well serviced Japanese machine you dancing with the devil and gambling big time playa 😂
@@shadow_realm47 Charlie Sinewan seems to be doing okay since he switched from the BMW to the Desert X
@@VapidUsername Does it have 125hp at 10,000 RPM?
How about launch control?
Doesn't look good/different enough to outweigh the cost and other issues.
Too expensive and heavy, and we don't know whether it's reliable or not. Even if I had that money I wouldn't buy it. Just my opinion, of course. Thanks for the info and video!
I'm disappointed. Beautiful bike but far too heavy, far too expensive and it doesn't even include electronic suspension or luggage.
Chassis controller finally gave up on going down the middle of the road.
Platinum coated money allows it to leave your wallet much faster 😂
Nice vid & a great looking bike but who would actually spend this much money with the genuine intention of taking it off road & ultimately & inevitably damaging it.
Frank Sinatra
@@steveparish9210 Lol, random but yes good point. It's obvious when I think about it. I could imagine him with Dean Martin & Sami Davis jr trashing them & not caring. ; )
... "when it comes to price... which we will come on to" 😳😢
I am very much satisfied with my Truimph tiger 900 .... Its very pricey and not much of dealers in US for services.... this is not my taste.
£21,800?! Haha. I can get a full size Tiger 1200 which is so much more bike for about £14,000. Im sure a more realistic price would be £12,000 or £10,000 cheaper
£21,800!!! 😂🤣😂
As a usable and more reliable bike at a sensible price give me an Africa Twin. Much better.
The 8 things.
1. Expensive
2. Unreliable
3. No dealers
4. Chinese made
5. Can’t work on it yourself
6. Micro transactions
7. Probably sounds cool
8. Loons great
I think KTM bought them out? Sometime next year KTM will take take over all their showrooms (rumours)...
Micro transactions on a bike is crazy 😢
It’s not Chinese.
@MotorcyclesandTravel most KTM big bikes(600cc+) are made in china.
And most sub 500cc bikes are made in India.
If the brake says bybre it is made entirely in India
If the brake says brembo parts are procured in India but bike is assembled in China
If the break is unlabelled or says J Juan it is made entirely in China.
Source : trust me bro 😼
@MotorcyclesandTravel also I believe KTM took over the MV Showrooms in North America and will complete the entire takeover sometime next year(rumours)
Always thought the Africa Twin was the best looking Adventure Bike (Desert X runs it pretty close) on the market however the new MV Enduro Veloce is definitely up there with the Africa Twin, as to who will buy one ? MV fans and those who want to ride something exclusive.
One main issue, Italian.
£22K and 250Kg for a sub 1,000cc inline triple allegedly enduro off-road bike? An 890 Adventure is not far off half the price and 35Kg lighter, or at the other end you could have just about any top end adv bike with more power and features for the same weight. Makes the Desert X look like a solid gold bargain. What are MV smoking? 😂
Don't understand why some people buy these bikes which are so bad when it comes reliability.
Bikes for richies
Nice bike, but pricey, & heavy, not a good adventure bike.
Great road, & fire roads only bike. 🤑🤑🤑
After a share trader buys his wife a Merc GLS 600 to do the shopping he'll buy one of these for himself. It will hit the used market in 3 years time with 120km on the clock and half the new price so could be worth a look at that time.
not worth the money in anyway possible, the engine will sound like a dryingmachine full of wrenches, like all mv's xD
Great review, too expensive and bought by people with more money than sence.
I own three MV’s in my collection, they are fantastic bike full of character beautifully made and reliable. But if you are used to jap bikes and soulless Hondas etc then you will hate them and they are not for you. Timex or Rolex take your pick.
"sence" , oh the irony
Aren't most bikes above 125cc...?
No@@joaosoares3719
Sauce..?
This thing is heavier than a Multistrada v4. Its not the most powerful middle weight bike its the weakest heavy weight motorbike
There is not only weight on a bike...Balance and distribution of it it's far more important
It looks like the Ducati Multistrada V4
Full copy of african twin.
Too tall too heavy too expensive.
Apart from that.
To heavy and pricey
'Enduro'
Doesn't look much like an enduro bike to me, just another overweight adventure bike that will never see the dirt.
MV won’t be around for long with those high prices.
A Turismo Velocce version with 17" wheels would be pretty cool too.
Give me the ADV looks and useful height with the asphalt biased handling of a sport tourer.
Triumph fohked up a good thing by messing with their triple's crank.
I hope playing "we are xtra soecial too" backfire big time for them.😒👎💩
NOPE!! Sorry but just a lot more Nope! NOPE!
You could buy a year old 1290 S which will do everything better than this bike (apart from looks) and buy a second 'fun' bike to do a different job...a naked perhaps or an enduro. Exclusivity? Does anyone care about that these days? A massively overpriced bike. Add £1500 worth of extras and its stupid. Ducati have gone the same way with the Multi....just too expensive for what it offers.
It looks like a damn honda af.twin !!!🤔
It's very silly when a mid weight adventure bike has the weight of a larger displacement bike then why bother with middle weight ? Overpriced Chinese made product no thanks
Chinese? You have your facts wrong…
Engine is designed and manufactured in mv's factory in italy... It's a beauty adv bike and like all mv agusta's it's not priced for the masses it's priced for the upperclass
