What do you make of MV Agusta building an adventure bike? What else would you like to see the brand build?
The Enduro Veloce looks to be an excellent bike, and something which will be (would've been) a cash-cow for them. It's clearly a clever competitor to the BMW GS money-making machine. It has the same draw as the GS: Offers the same top status and comfort, but is not a direct competitor (that would be foolish).
Instead it offers differentiation for those who are slightly younger than their years and want more sportiness than the GS offers. Above all the engine is a great alternative as the GS 2-cyl boxer is agricultural and tractor-like compared to the far more refined, sophisticated and sporty triple. It therefore offers a bike for the same segment, but offers something better and what the BMW can't offer in order to actually snag some sales.
I'd want MV Agusta to make an even lighter, ~500cc super-fun naked below the Dragster not because I want a cheaper bike but because I want a less powerful bike so I can wring it out more on modern totalitarian and restricted roads. The 800 is so fast you spend 99% of the time holding yourself back at less than half throttle. Don't make it cheaper either, just add more exotic materials to make it a super-light legendary riding machine similar to the old 2-stroke Aprilia RS250. Actually make the engine a modern 250cc 3-cylinder direct injection 2-stroke!
Should stick with overpriced sport bikes and let KTM build AV bikes
@@kennedyracing7527 Based on what? KTM doesn't have an engine like MV has. KTM doesn't have the quality, details, materials of the same level as MV does. Did you seriously try to use your grey matter at all before writing that comment?

Decent review. An expensive road bike with a 21 up front. An answer to a question that no one asked.
Yeah they should have put a 19 on this. 99% will keep this bike on the road. The other 1% will go some gravel road and even less will do gnarly enough trails to need a 21 inch.
You have to be beyond lacking in IQ to claim that no-one buys top-shelf sporty touring enduros. One of the least intelligent, most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Hey squid: it's the market segment which sells the most bikes (in value)!

They need to give buyers the choice, it's really quite simple but no one does it. Honda should be offering the 19 or 21 on the new Adventure Sport. Let the buyers choose, surely they would sell more or am I the odd one out again?

I don't understand how it looks the most like a Desert X, to me it's an Africa Twin inspired MV...
It makes sense since both this and the desert x are evolutions of the cagiva elefant

Should I opt for an Enduro Veloce or a Multistrada V4s? Although I haven't experienced the Veloce firsthand, I believe I would prefer the Multistrada V4s or Rally.

......the mention of quick shifter, I have it fitted to my Tiger 900GT Pro, I have looked for info on the correct way to use it, yet I can see no real info on the use of. I sometimes release throttle, and have also held throttle when changing up.....any answers?
Closed throttle changing down, open throttle changing up. Simple

Maybe a comfy setup of the 800 brutale? Kinda touring one..without losing the sporty part. As you said it doesn't handle well on the dirt which is also seen on the slow-mo. If you dare to get in the dust and mud of course. Thanks for sharing!

I owned a Yamaha Tracer 900. People, like myself, have been wondering why Yamaha doesn’t put that engine in a T7 chassis. Well, looks like MV jumped in that gap with Triumph. Love the triple!

While the engines are very different why on earth would anyone get this over the new Stelvio? I mean, you get the Italian thing and it doesn’t have a face like an old lady’s glasses.

Call me a luddite but I couldn't justify spending premium money for a plethora of electronics. I can barely remember how to adjust the clock twice a year on my 11 year old Speedy. Just me? I really like Carls reviews.

Had a mv turismo veloce. Lovely bike and grate fun. This enduro veloce looks decent. Engine sounds lovely but it’s just to expensive £21k can’t see them selling many.
Such a balldrop.. the whole poit with an adv bike is as good offroad ability and milemuncher as possible. They shuld do a sprttstourer or gt instead with that exiting motor
Damn 4 year warranty is a big thing for me. I got a street triple rs over an mt09 sp because of the warranty and a few other things but triumphs 2 year no mileage warranty is 👍👍
Over here Yamaha is a five year warranty deal as long as you keep on top of the maintenance, made me chose them over Triumph (2 years).
Ducati have a 4 year unlimited mileage warranty in the UK
Looks so much like a Super Tenere with a little Africa Twin mixed in. For the money I’d just buy both of those slightly used and save a few grand.

Yea that was a little fragmented review. Not sure what to think. One thing is for sure , that's the biggest can I've ever seen. It's huge. It has its own weather system.. Hopefully dealer network will improve. But it is a good looking bike aside from the can. And I think it has a pretty good engine. I just don't think they have everything together . Best!

I really can't get used to new bike prices, just 8 yrs ago an MT-10 was £9.999 otr.

Just 8 years ago that £9,999 is now worth about £13,200, not that far off what an MT10 costs brand new today, especially given how much better the tech on it is...
This bike is not worth 21k that's a fact, just as the Ducati DesertX isn't worth 16k, this is trying to do what the 890 Adventure already does for 12k and the 890 absolutely smashes this.
Looks like the Multistrada and the Pan America had a lovechild. A little disappointing looks wise considering how MV has made a name for beautifully detailed design pieces. Sounds like a beast though!
try putting a sheeps skin or similar on the seat, usualy fixes any problem you have with hard seats

Much like the recent 990 duke, I cannot see this bike making any sense, especially at its price point.
Australians are looking at the helmet placed on the ground like that, expecting it to be full of bull ants, green ants and hunstman spiders when he puts it on. Hilarity ensues.

I think it looks terrible with the low seat and the enormous front area. But that goes for most bikes in that class.
Seems the MV is trying to align this bike with the top line BMW GS and Ducati Multistrada v4 to justify the excessively high price. The Ducati Multistrada V2 and the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio are closer competitors, and thousands of dollars less.. Nice bike, good to see MV getting its feet on firm ground, but not worth what they are asking.
Sad to see it has lost all of the MV quirks…

I like the concept of a triple trail bike but not this result. Too expensive, too heavy. Not as capable for touring nor for off-road as other less expensive bikes.

So, Didn't Honda just abandon this design with the outgoing Adventure sports? That's the most comparable IMO. Hmmm Love the triple, However again I think the packaging was missed. When they have been pushing the lucky strike style that really told use it was going to focus more toward the dirty side and then they delivered another high priced Ducati wanna be. The market will be small and I think they will have difficulty finding that many dealers unfortunately. This will be an elitist Starbucks queen. Maybe even an over priced chain drive Super Tenere. Bummer. Youve done well to paint the picture pretty grim.
