Commons are supposed to be Common, and most of the time that means you don't have to spend very much money to get your hands on them. However there are some Commons that are harder to find, so they're actually pretty expensive! In this video, I look at the most expensive whtie commons in Magic: the Gathering.

I'll trade you this super cool Shivan Dragon, that's never been reprinted and definitely isn't a rare in every reprint set for some reason, for that crappy Bazaar of Baghdad. It doesn't even give you mana as a land!

I didn't care for previous "top 10 most expensive" videos but this new formula and the focus on commons made this video interesting. 👍🏿
Exactly. It was all "This card is so expensive, it will cost you $200! Unless you buy one of the many reprints for 50 cents."
I prefer the new formula because it doesn't end up with "Alpha cards = #1". True, it may mean that Arabian Nights and Three Kingdoms cards top the list, but not as likely.
On the flag bearer: it's actually played more often against the enchantment based decks, forcing your opponent to enchant it instead of their own creatures
It's mostly used against caw gates
I like the change in how you look at the price for these, makes it feel more like the limiting factor for me when I deckbuild
Wow I didn’t know those “Soul Sisters” were so expensive. Those were some of the first cards I bought online when I got back into magic.
Standard Bearer is also good *against* aura decks, it forces them to target the Bearer with their auras
I will never not find the Sunscape Familiar being a literal castle (while the other 'scape familiars are just a mix of regular animals) incredibly funny.
Nightscape is a zombie. But yeah pretty funny just having a literal castle
Big fan of the new format for these list videos. Much more interested in the price based lists now because this is a lot more relevant. We know old reserved list cards are expensive, but the high price of something such as Suture Priest seems a lot more relatable.

I buy a lot of andom collections for my openings on my channel. This is really helpful to remind me of valuable cards like "dust to dust".

A few years ago, my uncle gave me a box of magic cards that he got from one of his old roommates. It had a good amount of magic cards including a bunch of camels (close to 20). Glad to see that there's at least some value in that box thanks to those camels.

I run a good number of these cards in my Oloro and Arcades edh decks.
This list is giving me deja vu to me trying to get into pauper and my opponent having Sunscape Familiar, at least one of the Soul sisters, and Ephemerate in their deck. I was blown out of the water with my silly little jank deck

Ahhh pricy cards, personally, I love 'em. Sure I can't afford 'em, but they're cool. I definitely need to get me some copies of Camel, since they're one of my favourite animals, just like how "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)" is my favourite video to suggest.
Should be noted on the #2 cards, False Defeat is Your graveyard and Riding Red Hare being a sorcery would still be fitting even by nowadays card types when Horsemanship would be best before blockers could even be declared so it being an instant would through it off plus make the 3 cmc only really an ambush combat trick after an opponent declares attackers and before you declare blockers. Which without a stop put on Arena or something to catch the game up in a sense, wouldn't that make using this eXtReMeLy narrow chance for it to be an instant really make it better? Just my thoughts and please hit the like if I'm not wrong and I'd love to hear anyone who can advocate on the opposite when learning the game is part of Magic, I started back in Invasion, and Magic is literally the world's most complicated game due to all the interactions of all the keywords over the years (another fact I'd welcome factual feedback if I'm wrong, we only get stronger as we get more wise.). But the best part is putting the pieces of the puzzle together during a game with cards to get that sweet GG from opponent when they honorably get taken down. Some of the best games I played were the long test periods I'd do with buddies before tournaments where we'd tinker a bit between rounds of sparring and only want the other to get stronger. That's the Magic I miss in the digital age (plus I spent far too much on the game when I was 18). Thank you for sitting through my TED talk, again I'd happily welcome people's constructive criticisms/feedback and how you have a good one, at least leave a comment of 1 if you got this far and I wasn't just rambling into the abyss on UA-cam. :)
What happens when a banded attacker is blocked by a banded defender? Who assigns combat damage?
Riding Red Hare would not have been an Instant if it was printed in another set because it's meant to be the 3 Kingdoms Angelic Blessing which is a Sorcery.
2:18 Shaledred? Is that a more authentic pronunciation of “Shoel”, or was that just an error? You use the more common pronunciation of Shoeldred immediately after, so I can’t be certain if that was intentional.
You miss the Acolytes. Crimson acolyte is another one 💪 i sold my playset for 20€ (22 dollars) and obsidian acolyte for more or less the same price.
I don't know when you sold them, but right now, they are around 2 bucks.
@NizzahonMagic I'm honestly surprised that Obsidian acolyte isn't pricier/seeing more play in Legacy, since D&T needs the help against Bowmasters.
The reason Dust to Dust isn't terribly popular in Commander is that while yes, you do have the targets, you don't often have two exciting targets. Hitting a mana rock, even Sol Ring, when you're trying to take out a Bolas' Citadel is like "Ok, sure, that's fine but..." You're better off with a 1 or 2 mana artifact kill spell because you only really care about one of the targets and paying an extra mana during your main phase to take out something that isn't worth the retribution you'll likely face is not a good play. A lot of the artifacts you really need to remove need to be done immediately--a Bolas' Citadel that gets a turn to work has still done a lot, so not being an instant really makes it unattractive.

You sure about that these days? Regular foils have basically lost all of their charm now that they keep jamming new foils down our throats.

To be honest with Army of Allah. I doubt that Wizards would risk getting bombed by Al-Quaeda.
They could easily do a functional reprint of the card without issue. But they've made this effect a red one (see Trumpet Blast and like 5 other cards), so they won't do that either.

You could refine your criteria a little more and say good cards this would filter out the cards that are only expensive due to scarcity and would seem like a more useful list
