I drove my '23 Preferred Plus off the lot in February. Since it came out I loved the styling of it being more wide and low than the CX-5. I love the way it drives and the panoramic moonroof is a bonus. I have leased 3 Mazda SUV'S in the last 7 years and love the brand. They are fun to drive with a better interior than the competition.
I traded in my 2021 Subaru Legacy Limited XT for my Mazda CX-50 Preferred Plus. I love my Mazda CX-50! The Subaru was more luxurious, but I hated the infotainment system and the CVT transmission. My Mazda drives and handles so much better. The Preferred Plus includes that panoramic sunroof. The infotainment system takes getting used to, but I like it just fine, and the knob and button climate controls are a big relief after the Subaru.
Congrats on the CX-50! Definitely agreed on the CVT and touchscreen climate being a negative for the Subaru, I bet the Mazda does feel like a big upgrade. Thanks for your comment!
As someone that has never owned a mazda before but looking into them, this video really highlighted everything i was wondering about, from each trim. Yes i couldve googled them all but the video was quicker, lol
@@fr3ddy1461 I think I'm more interested in the "luxury feel", and the looks than the power. I live in Puerto Rico and I work remote, so I rarely drive long distances.
I just ordered a 2024 Turbo Premium model. The Meridian initially caught my eye, but I wasn't too wild about the hood graphics or the lack of available features so I decided on the premium model in machine gray metallic with the terra cotta interior. I don't know what type of "off roading" Mazda has in mind, but neither vehicle in any trim class comes equipped with any type of undercarriage skid plates. The dealer showroom had a non-tubo CX-50 on display complete with BFG all terrain tires, factory lift kit, and a rooftop tent. Looked cool, but c'mon...no skid plates? Mine is due in on April 1 and I'm already getting antsy.
I think they're all pretty much the same except for ONE or two points on each- and not enough difference to worry about. (I do NOT like TURBO anything...but there are plenty that are not- and I'll supercharge it later!)
I hear these CX50s have a ton of issues beside the stiff steering, uncomfortable seating, cramped space for people over 6 foot and dated infotainment system
Can't speak from personal experience on any of those specifically but have heard similar complaints from some and heard nothing but glowing reviews from others. It seems like it ultimately comes down to personal preference for the one driving the car everyday. Thanks for your comment!
Stuff steering definitely isn't for everyone but it offers a more controlled feeling during driving. I'm 5'8 so space isn't a problem for me. Seats are firm but not uncomfortable to me. All preferences

Very well said, hard to beat their interiors and driving dynamics. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you!
Your videos are amazing! The little details result in a very premium viewer experience.
Thank you for the compliment!
Thank you for this video. This is exactly what I was looking for. The 2.5 S Premium makes sense for me.
So glad it was helpful for you, thank you for the comment!
Just asking why not choose the turbo over the non turbo?

Thank you! Let us know which one you end up getting. Best of luck!
Excellent video
Thank you!!
You also lose the heads-up display on the standard turbo. And no sharkfin antenna. Thanks for doing the homework for us.
Thanks for the comment!

Turbo premium looks pretty sweet.
Very much agreed! Thanks for watching!
It is, but it's pricey at $650 a month lease or more.

Sounds like you made the right choice! That sounds like an awesome color combo
CX-50!! very cool…!
Agreed! Thanks for the comment!
The biggest miss in meridian edition , it's doesn't have BOSE SYSTEM , they $ucked you up on this one. Cutting corners!!!
So true, they could have at least made it an option. The upgraded stereo is a must!
@@toptrims yes, the Bose sound system is worth getting! I love my CX 50

8 trim levels with options within the trim levels...anybody remember DX, LX, and EX?????😁😁
Times used to be much simpler…
"Life's too short to drive a base model"
Me who just bought the 2023 select as my first car because it was what I could afford at the time 🥲
I’d take a CX-50 Select over many other cars for the same price, still an excellent choice. Thanks for your comment!
Tbh this might be the best base package around, no other manufacturer is going to give you blind spot monitoring and push start in a base trim!
Very helpful. Too many trims imo. Great lookin car and drives smooth
Yes, lots to choose from. Thank you!
Tengo la máxima...super nave
Very nice, thanks for your comment!
Không có động cơ Hybrid là không ổn rồi
The only Hybrid Mazda we get in the US is the CX-90. Hopefully we get more soon!

Wrong! I don’t have any issue with the seats in mine. I’m loving it after having it for over a year!
