Awesome!!!I used Bulky size 5 yarn, with a 6.5mm hook. But I used the Chainless Foundation Double Crochet, giving the side seam a lot more stretch. From there it is much easier to make to size, i ended up with 19" circumference with 54 stiches! My brother's girlfriend gave me a really nice gift for Christmas, i wasn't expecting anything so whipped this up super quick, in a couple of hours to get sizing correctly...so it could have probably been even quicker if i started straight away with the chainless Foundation Double crochet. Thanks again!
I needed a super quick project to whip up for my brother’s girlfriend who’s flying in for a surprise visit tomorrow and this pattern totally saved the day! This was my first headband and my first project of yours and it came out so beautifully. It took me a bit longer since I’m a beginner but overall it worked up very easily. Thanks for such an easy to follow tutorial and I’ll definitely be checking out your other patterns. Also that yarn is so gorgeous!!
There are so so many ear warmer patterns out there, but yours are the best hands down! The stitches uses are always so beautiful and the sizing is always perfect! Thanks for another great one, bought the pattern before I even watched the video!
Love this pattern. Thx for sharing. I already made one in king Cole cheeky chunky yarn (shade-jelly bean)with a 6mm hook and 50 chains....I love it. Such a perfect gift.
Loved making this head band! I bought some Wool Ease Thick and Quick to make a few. Then I bought the color Elephant in the Alla Prima and omg the squishiness of the yarn! Be careful not to pull too hard because it will pull apart. I had it happen to me a few times while sewing it together.
I just made this in an hour and I’m so happy with it! Thank you! It’s my first headband ever! It’s a little funky in the middle cus I found that to be a little hard to know where to sew it in but I feel like I’ll get a hang of it. Definitely would recommend you to other people! ❤
Thank you for your tutorial and pattern. I found this easily created and will be gifting it to some very appreciative friends. We have an artic front coming through our area this week.
Thx so much. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now if you have matching fingerless fits to match 🤪 that would be amazing. I’ll have to try and find one of those unless you have a pattern to go with
Beautiful yarn and pattern! May a suggest that using a solid color yarn is easier for us beginners to learn a new stitch, thank you for your wonderful patterns 😊
CJ's is actually way less complicated than this. I've done both - CJ uses the herringbone stitch for the entire band and it works up much easier and faster and looks almost the exact same.
PLEASE HELP! I don’t know what I am doing but my gauge is WAY off. Using a 9mm for the toddler size if 1”=2 stitches then does that mean the length needs to be 17”? I that seems to large. What am I doing wrong?
Toddlers usually have a 19-20" head as per standards. The length of the headband should be 16". If you think it is too big, you can always leave out a couple stitches.
Thank you for this tutorial. I used bulky 6 and a 9 hook, chain of 45 and it’ll hopefully fit a teen. Folks, Up your chains a bit for adult size.

This is the yarn the pattern is designed for and it doesn't come in solid colours
Thank you for this pattern and wonderful instructions!! What is the width of the finished headband?
I knew that I had seen this somewhere...CJ Designs did this exact headband 3 years ago even with Bulky yarn. How strange! You two think the same :)
CJ's is actually way less complicated than this. I've done both - CJ uses the herringbone stitch for the entire band and it works up much easier and faster and looks almost the exact same.
Hello! Cute pattern! Does it work the same for wool ease thick and quick yarn?
❤️ Beautiful ❤️ thank you for sharing this pattern with all of us. How many Hanks of this yarn does this pattern require
Only 1 hank for each size.

Crocheters and knitters don’t want yarn from Amazon, they want to shop local and online yarn stores. Just saying
Not everyone has the option of a local yarn store, or the money for expensive brands.
