I Love this pattern. It is my go to pattern to make for the homeless when the weather gets cold. I am piling them up as well as the fingerless gloves as there are many homeless and people living in tents. BLESSINGS

I was looking for a beautiful, simple stitch to make an ear warmer for my mother's birthday. I made this and it did not disappoint. Thank you for sharing.
This turned out gorgeous!!! I doubled up my size 3 yarn and it is so awesome the pattern you came up with. You were very clear and easy to follow and understand, you are a great teacher! thank you for your help! God bless you!! :)
Love this pattern and the single crochet in both loops at the beginning and end keep it straight so you don’t have to worry about it thank you so much for sharing
Great pattern! I especially liked how calm and slow you were and how you showed how to start the whole thing, do the first and last stitches of each row and how to finish the project as those are hardest things for a beginner like me! Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much for this, I wish I could post a photo. I made this. Your voice is so soft, gently, slow and this helps beginners like me. God bless you Ma'am. Please post some more videos
This was such a quick and easy tutorial that I absolutely loved! I made this for a little girl who is the younger sister of a boy I know and I’m sure she would love this, since it is the middle of winter here in New York. Thank you so much! ☺
using (medium) size 4 cotton yarn and size 5mm (H) hook for a toddler's ear warmer. this pattern i chained 13, then proceeded with 3 single crochet, 6 half double, 3 single. chain one repeat. just kept going until it fit my toddler's head and finished it off with the knot look. very cute! take into consideration the stretch of your yarn. when i first started with ear warmers they would become too loose after a couple wears . hope this helps, happy crocheting!
Such a great pattern!! I am quite a beginner and I thought this would be hard and would take quite a while but only really took 3 hours at most. I made this for my mums birthday and she absolutely loves it :D
For anyone who needs a written pattern: Begin with a Sl-kn ch 17 ROW 1 in the back humps sc in second hump from hook 1 sc in next two humps 1 hdc in next 10 humps 1 sc in each of the last 3 humps Row 2 ch 1, turn 1 sc in 1st sc 1 sc blo in next 2 sc 1 hdc blo in next 10 hdc 1 sc blo in next 2 sc 1 sc in last sc Rows 3-56 Repeat Row 2 Do not fasten off Finishing Fold making sure to align stitches on both sides of work Insert hook under both loops on either side of work, slip stitch Continue in the manner to the end Leave a tail Fasten off Weave-in ends
Thank you very much. In the description box, you will find the average size for all ages. If you already have a precise size, you need to adjust the length of the ear warmer to the circumference of the head. As for the width, it must also be adapted to the height of the head. I would make a few swatches and, of course it also depends on the yarn you use. For example: I would use a light DK baby yarn. The average width for Preemie is 1.75 In. to 2 In. For Preemie over 3Lb to 6/12 month is 2 In. For example, you can try making 13 chains, then 3sc, 6hdc, 3sc or 2sc, 8hdc, 2sc. Or 11chains, then 2sc, 6hdc, 2sc. I hope it helps you.
@jenniferfootman3700 I think a worsted weight n.4 yarn will be a good substitute. For the crochet hook, you may use the same size i did J/6.00mm. If it's too big, use what is suggested on the label of your yarn. I hope it helps you 😊
It depends on the type of yarn and the crochet hook you use. The basis from which you have to start is the circumference of the head. If you want to get the same size as me, with the same type of yarn and crochet hook, you can follow exactly the measurements I gave in the video. However, if you have a different size, different yarn and crochet hook, the ideal is to try it around your head, so you know if you need to add or make fewer rows. In fact, 17 inches is not an adult size, but my yarn had a lot of stretch, and it gave me a size of 21 inches which is actually an adult size. I hope I helped you.
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I can't exactly tell you the number of chains because it also depends on the number of crochet hooks you use. The width of the headband is 10.5cm /4 inches, so I would make a number of chains corresponding to this size.
Weaving in the ends is a technique that secures loose yarn strands after finishing a project. In this video, I skipped that part, assuming that it was already known as the technique. Thread your yarn onto your yarn needle, weave in your ends on the wrong side of your crochet piece, find the closest stitch, insert your needle, and continue to insert into the second, the third and as much as you like. You can go, straight, up and down, zig zag, there's no a specific rule. When you are happy hiding your thread, cut the remaining thread, and you are done.
@shivanimatam2983 you need to chain accordingly to the measurements you need and the yarn and crochet hook you use. In the description box below the video, I wrote some average sizes. For a 3 month baby, it could be 13/ 14-inch circumference and 2.5 inches wide, so you could chain accordingly to these measurements. Then, based on the number of chains you have, you distribute to your need, the single crochet and the half double crochet. I hope it helps.
The start of 17 chains, it refers to the width of the headband, which is 4.5 inches/ 11.5 cm, so if you make it for a teenager or adult, it would fit well. If you make it for other sizes, you probably need fewer chains and divide accordingly to the pattern.
@tasha3939 It's correct. The 56 rows are back and front. When you join the two ends , they give you the total circumference of the head. I hope it helps you 😊
Made one with leftover yarn that I used for a couple christmas gifts. So easy to follow and turned out so pretty. Thank you!

I don’t have this size yarn. What would be a good substitute, what hook size?
@jenniferfootman3700 I think a worsted weight n.4 yarn will be a good substitute. For the crochet hook, you may use the same size i did J/6.00mm. If it's too big, use what is suggested on the label of your yarn. I hope it helps you 😊
So if the fabric stretch, should I measure 17in for a adult size?

Can I use fluffy yarn❤
@naomiunuarhemhen5182 Yes, you can.😊
I love it....can it be made with 4 weight yarn? If so how many chains do I make? Thank you
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I can't exactly tell you the number of chains because it also depends on the number of crochet hooks you use. The width of the headband is 10.5cm /4 inches, so I would make a number of chains corresponding to this size.

How did you weave at the end? I didn't get that part.
Weaving in the ends is a technique that secures loose yarn strands after finishing a project. In this video, I skipped that part, assuming that it was already known as the technique. i counted 28 rows so 56 rows would be the back and front? im confused
@tasha3939 It's correct. The 56 rows are back and front. When you join the two ends , they give you the total circumference of the head. I hope it helps you 😊
Wish they the number as they go along hard of hearing
