What a fantastic sequence. Jared Harris is just superb, as is Thomas Jane. We are so fortunate to have these 2 actors in our beloved show and Jared Harris, well he's just an absolute legend, as was his father.
I realised the other day I've not uploaded many Miller clips at all, hence this sequence.

The way he delivers that line, damn. Dawes imagined what her life would have been like on a planet with ample opportunity and resources, instead of being wasted on scratching a living on among asteroids.
I get the feeling his sister was in immense pain. It would have taken forever to get to an aid center. I imagine she hurt herself awfully out on the asteroid and she asked for her brother to end it. We know the martians had tech that could fix cancer, imagine if the Belters had that chance.
Miller usually has a point and here he was fighting for an argument, but he lost this one, cause he didn't want to understand..
Is nobody gonna talk about how good Jared Harris was here? Man, if they don't bring him back for season six ...
I do, all the time as I have done in the description. Jared Harris is an absolute legend. It's doubtful, bit not impossible he could appear in S6. But as Ty Franck has said in the Ty & That Guy series, they've tried many times to get him back but because he's so good, he's in such demand his schedule has never allowed it. I was thinking of putting up a couple of clips of Jared from 'To the ends of the Earth" BBC sea trilogy. In which he was superb as Captain Anderson.
@@speculativefuture9568 David Strathairn and Cara Gee may have the Lang Belta down a bit better, but no actor embodied the spirit of Beltalowda like Harris.
@@lwrncschmchr I agree. However while I agree Jared embodied the spirit of the Belt, from working my way through the books currently I'm not certain he embodied the spirit of Dawes as written in the books. But that doesn't mean I think he was wrong for the part, I see them as very close. But for myself I see the book Dawes as a somewhat softer character. But it's just an opinion mind.
Jared really deserves all the accolades he receives and I really do like how he portrays Dawes.
@@speculativefuture9568 Book Dawes and TV show Dawes are definitely distinct characters. Book Dawes never really even threatened Miller, let alone tried to space him.
@@speculativefuture9568 I'm reading the books now for the first time - got to say thank you for these videos because I enjoy finishing a major chapter in the books and then reviewing how it played out in the show through your vids.
Years later multiple watches but i still get chills watching this scene. Both actors on point.
I missed Daws in the last seasons
Yeah too bad but really too big of an actor for such a small part.

@@speculativefuture9568 as a loyal fan of his version of The Punisher, Tom Jane was the main driving force to getting to this series. God bless Detective Miller for taking down that black market curd cartel.
