Won't take long until there are folks who speak proper belter fluently. I mean, there are people who can speak klingon and elvish and those two are much more different from any human language than belter is.
Dawes and Johnson both wanted the same thing. But different ideologies seeking a similar outcome can be more harmful than opposing ideals at war... It's one of the strangest truths of human nature and this condenses that into a single speech. I love the expanse.
In the books, Dawes is more of a shower than a grower. But then, the show made Drummer into a much more central character and Ashford is someone completely different (hes such an opportunistic and enragingly incompetent wiener in the book). So do not let your hopes go. Dawes might still get his stage time. The show seems much less concerned with the crippling internal corruption, opportunism and amateurish manor of the OPA.
@@tomitiustritus6672 well drummer just became Michio Pa , a viewpoint in book 5 and 6, mixed with drummer. And they brought back Bull (yay he's my favorite minor character in the books ) to take Drummers minor part in this series. Prithu indeed it will. Did you see “Chernobyl”? He had the lead part it that. Have to say until I looked at his film and tv history, I would not have believed that they were played by the same person! Great actor definitely.

God I loved Dawes, but he is definitely playing politician, stretching the truth so he seems more right than Fred. Dawes knows DAMN well why Fred was keeping that secret under wraps, and he knows Fred wasn't keeping it to just himself, but he knew the words to say to make his actions justifiable. He is the reason Marco rose to power. Without Dawes kidnapping Cortazar, Duarte wouldn't have had as big incentive to strike a deal with Marco, because without Cortazar, the protomolecule sample itself would have been as good as useless.

This was Jared Harris' last scene on the Expanse (unfortunately), but damn was it memorable.
If the entire series was just Belters making dramatic speeches, I would watch every episode 5 times. (Must include at least 30% Anderson Dawes.)

Anderson Dawes and Cotyar were my faves. When Dawes speaks, he draws you in with power and charisma.
Jared Harris is a hell of an actor. Up there with Hopkins imho. His father was one of the greatest of all time of course..
both fantastic actors, shame they cut Jared of but the Foundation is at the beginning while the Expanse for Dawes was almost over
Thats his daddy talking
@@cgavin1 I genuinely believe that Harris is the finest TV actor currently working
Thinking on it he was probably off to film Foundation, which is a shame because he's absolutely wasted in it

Any book readers catch his ironic foreshadowing comment (about the pen, the creation of which is made possible via his abduction of Cortazar!) ?
