Tasmanian Surfer Rides Epic Runner for Over a Minute

  • Tasmanian photographer Stu Gibson has been shooting surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding for over a decade now, but in recent years he has developed, in his own words, a full-on drone addiction and the stunning aerial portfolio to prove it. Gibson specializes in stills, but that doesn't make this video footage he captured of a surfer riding a knee-high runner for over a minute off the Tasmanian coast any less awesome. Sit back, chill out, and give it a watch.

🤯🤯🤯 everything looks flat and glassy, but the swell hits that point perfectly and it even wraps around at the end section. The two sections look like it's an easy paddle jumping out of the rocks. Thanks for sharing, cheers from Mexico 😎🤙

That looks very fun! We get waves like that on Lake Superior. Not often of course but seriously that long and that size. My parents grew up in Adelaide; myself in Minnesota. I never made it to Taz but I did live on K.I. for six weeks. Anyway, great little long wave here!
