What comes through for me is what a great coach/trainer he was. Not just full of knowledge and history, but can get in there to encourage, push, spot to match their work and force them to get the most out. I carry his advice in my head when I'm doing my own work.
Great legacy, sir 🙏 I never had the pleasure of knowing you, but I will never forget you.

      @philippotgieter1526 4 роки тому

Michael Evans not all was working sets
I will only count 5 as real working sets. I have a strange leg day
I am 49 years old and knees and back not as good anymore, so i built myself my own pendulum squat and works well, so i do all these at home, then quickly rush to gym(only 5 minutes away), then go on there with rest until they shot
I rather do all pendulum squats with no injuries for me, than normal squats and leg press which will also be 8 wets total
The 6 sets leg ext only 4 was working 2 was lighter and not to full failure
      Lunges close to fail
Calves first high rep sets then heavier sets then drop set at end
It looks like its working for me
So i keep on with it
      I am short, 1.67meters tall
Thinking to compete in veterans maybe next year or latest 2022

Question iv always wanted to ask the back support seat if it’s the same system as I use in Nottingham Uk gyms the back of the seat alters how far back was the setting if I have the back support all the way back to the back of my legs behind the knee cap nice and tight I find it too easy however if I move the back support forward to where I’m just on the seat and no more it’s harder which will hit this best Another way to hit that area big time is incline ab bench especially if you’ve got a long back like mine another fantastic work out Have a nice weekend You could do a updated video to explain this were should you sit how far back

I did this workout with the same reps/intensity + some hamstring work 2 days ago. I was actually falling out of the gym. My legs were just not working right. The last 2 days I have almost needed a damn wheelchair! I’m gonna keep this going for my leg day and see how it goes. If I can recover okay this will mean amazing growth for me I think.
Lying leg curls 3x10 and high intensity last set (Meadows style)
    Front squats 3x6
    RDLs 3x8
Hack squats 3x8 and last set drop set high intensity (Meadows style)
Seated leg extensions 3x10 and last set high intensity (Meadows style)
Update: I believe I am hitting the end of my beginner, or novice, stage. I have been seriously and intently lifting weights with goals and solid programming for about 1.5 years now. I have made some fantastic gains and I still have a lot left and a lot of work to do. Where I am in my journey now, this workout that I listed above was just too much. I loved the workout, was proud of how well I hit the muscles and was so sore. However, I just could not recover well from this. Like John has said, if you need to, maybe cut down down the volume a bit if you are not advanced enough to recover from a workout in time to hit it again later, or if you are just so beat up it wrecks your next sessions.

I want a safety squat bar so bad. My left shoulder has some range of motion issues from a old injury. and sometimes when im squating it hurts to hold the bar. But my wife gets upset Everytime I buy a piece of new workout equipment so I suffer in silence.
