It has to be so scary to watch your twin die and know it’s only a matter of time before you die too. Rest in power
They showed the world what courage and acceptance looks like. May their memory be a blessing to all who loved them.
Amen 🙏🏼❤️
Amen 🙏❤️💕
Remember some years ago watching a story about the twins. So sorry to hear of their passing away. Condolences to their family and friends.
62 is amazing! I'd love to see a full documentary on these amazing people
I remember several documentaries on them. I’m sure you can probably find them here on UA-cam or somewhere.
62 is freaking incredible. I mean just think of all the little inconveniences and how much harder life must have been. It really is amazing to me the strength they must have had!
It always amazed me that identical conjoined twins who experienced nearly identical lives can be so very different, mentally AND physically. Apparently we are so much more than our DNA.
If you’re talking about the fact that one “identified as a man”, it’s really not that remarkable. It’s not like we’re talking about an innate characteristic like sexual orientation. What’s most likely is that they just wanted to be seen as separate entities, as different from each other, and that led to this alternate identity. The twin who identified as trans was never particularly masculine all her life. Suddenly, as gender ideology becomes trendy, she adopts this trans persona extremely late in life. As with most things, there’s a reasonable explanation for this. There are no gendered souls, no innate sense of maleness existent in a female person.
@@dewilew2137 yep, and identical twins who are separated at birth end up being very similar. As you'd expect, because they are clones.
Yes but they didn't share 100% of their dna as they were non-identical twins.
@@BigDuke6ixx Yes incredibly similar, often they have the same job, even the name of their partner in life is the same ,,
@@dadycreations100 Of course they shared 100% of their DNA... ALL conjoined twins are incomplete divisions of a SINGLE, identical, egg!
For anyone wondering- their family were incredibly supportive and kind.
Of course they were. Why wouldn’t they be? The fact that they lived at all, let alone lived to age 62, is a testament to that fact. You don’t think their parents knew they were having conjoined twins before they were born? I’m sure they were given alternative options, and clearly, they didn’t take that route.
Their family gave them away at birth and the doctor took them...i read the book they were raised in an institution the doctor stated the parents had 7 other kids and did not want them at birth. Read the book@@dewilew2137
Really? Cuz I swear that 1996 documentary Said they were abandoned at birth
They were raised in an institution
and that's why they were happy. When you have love and support, you can face any issue and be happy. Love and Support is the most important thing a human can have. Most people are neglected and alone, and feel unloved, and that's why there's depression and anxiety, and being overwhelmed at things that seem trivial.
I think one important lesson we can learn from the 2 of them is to compromise. They had different jobs and lives, yet they found ways to let each other live their own lives. How many of us can’t even compromise meals and tv shows. If conjoined twins can compromise and live separate lives, the rest of us should as well.
Well said. Us non-conjoined take a lot for granted. Cant believe they were 62! Incredible.
I remember them from being on television years ago. Wasn't sure if they were still living. I'm guessing they lived fairly long for someone in their situation. R.I.P. Lori & George.
Not many would have the courage to live on, let alone for 62 years, respect!
Rest In Peace George and Lori! You guys lived a long beautiful life
What happens if one dies. Does the other follow? It must have been scary for them in that regard.
Edit...I meant that could they not have tried to separate them once one had died. Obviously not possible.
Yes, because they shared the same circulatory system
Watch the video
This is explained in the video
Free at last, free at last! Run, dance, and fly angels!
I'm sorry to hear they passed.
So, two women.
Damn! Courage to burn!!! 😮 Rest In Peace…
I was so confused by the names. I had to look it up. I do remember seeing several stories about Lori and Dori throughout the years.
I know right!! Me too!
Yes they were Lori and Dori I don't know why they said George 🤷
@@KrJ265because he was a transgender man , so his name was George. Dori was his old name.
@@gise230207 gotcha👍 thanks
@@KrJ265 He's a trans man - it would have been utterly disrespectful to use his old name, especially given the long history of trans people being deadnamed and invalidated after death.
I remember them....❤
Beautiful angel twins 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Dang I remember their story and saw many specials with them. Rip 🧡
I'm SO SORRY to hear that they passed away. My heart goes out to their family. R.I. P. Lori & George.
They were my favorite adult conjoined twins. May their legacy never be forgotten! R.I.P. to these amazing people!
You really have favorite conjoined twins?
Aww. I remember the special and had wondered what became of them? RIP 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
I remember a special i saw about them. ❤
They seemed so confident and badassed, but in very different ways.
They spent their first 24 years in an institution for the mentally disabled even though neither one of them were mentally disabled. Did their parents or any family members even visit them there or have anything to do with them after they got out?
Well, at least they're at peace now.
Yes. They were very close to their entire family throughout their lives, yes the family visited while in the institution.
@@Stefanie2530 That's good to hear! Thanks for clarifying that!
I would encourage you to delete your comment given that the family had them in the hospital at the recommendation of their doctors, visited them often, and were very close. They just lost their children and your comment stokes the flames of gossip and mere speculation. It’s hurtful. Please be caring and think of the mourners who actually knew them.
@@animaanimus8011 I was not trying to hurt anyone's feelings when I asked those questions. Inasmuch as the CBS Memorial segment mentioned only that they had lived the first part of their lives in that establishment but nothing whatsoever about their family, I was trying to clarify what kind of bond that they'd had with their family. Thankfully, @Stefanie2530 answered that they DID have good bonds with their family which I thanked for and said that it was good to hear. I'm sorry that this family has lost their loved ones and I don't wish to add to any more sorrow.
If it was mentioned in the video, then many would be thinking the same questions you had and more than likely assume the worst. People sometimes like to run from or hide from history (painful or they are afraid etc), instead of using it as a tool to heal, to educate and to also make needed, positive changes. I think your questions were good questions. Now people know the truth and won't assume bad things instead. The twins were well loved!!
R.I.P.
Who died first..must have been horrid for the other one knew she was about to die
God how could they even sleep ..? They lived life to the fullest despite their situation .
RIP......❤❤❤
I love them because they are beautiful, they was very smart , very respectful towards each other and others . They was 2 people in 1 body but they both had there own personalities . And they both knew how to get around as 1 . They are loved by so many people around the world and they will be missed. May they both RIP . Miss . Linda ❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤
I loved how they chose to live their lives to the fullest!!! No hiding for them. Bravo
I remember the documentary and they were on a talk show. The one in the chair sang country western at that time. I remember their relatives being very supportive as well. There’s another set of older conjoined twins, 2 brothers joined abdominally. I wonder if they are still alive
I dont recall seeing them RIP.
Amazing one worked in hospital and the other played music to audience. They made their careers and lives work.
They were pretty awesome humans 😅
Been following their story gor decades. They will be missed and remembered.
I remember watching a documentary about them many years ago. It was fascinating to me that they could "tune out" when the other wanted private time, and they were the ultimate lesson in taking turns. God bless them for making it to 62. My prayers go out to their family and friends.
I remember seeing these twins on TV so long ago Sad to hear this.
R.I.P. Lori and George. 🌹🌹
Two courageous people who live life on their own terms regardless of the stares and judgement. RIP Lori and George. You will be missed.
Wow, I had wondered what had become of them. I am pleasantly surprised that they lived that long. God bless them.
I remember watching documentaries and interviews with them as a kid. It’s amazing when people break out of their comfort zones and share a piece of their vulnerabilities with the world in a new way. That is true art and I am grateful for the healing they brought me. May they rest in peace.
I remember them on the Jerry Springer show back in the late 80's or maybe early 90's before the show became "you are not the father" foolishness 😳
Did Jerry even do that on his shows? I thought it was Maury with the, “You are not the father.”
Late 90s, and yeah Jerry was still kind of serious then (but at the tail end of it). Maury did "you aren't the father" though
I remember watching specials about them. How did they pass? Was one sick and the other had to be sedated? Must have been a gut wrenching experience for everyone involved. RIP.
"George" performed under the name "Reba"? I remember them from Jerry Springer. I think it's awesome that all of the conjoined twins I've ever seen have been happy with their lives.
She didn't like the way their names rhymed so she changed hers to 'Reba' briefly before changing it to George and coming out transgender. Surprisingly, her obituary is under Dori and she is referred to as 'she/her' in it as well.
That's so disrespectful
@@Stefanie2530I always thought it was so stupid to give identical twins the same rhyming name minus the first letter being different. It’s enough that they go through life being identical, they don’t need to basically share the same name.
@Stefanie2530 makes sense though...
Rest In Peace
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Thank you
Wow, Im glad they got to live that long. Heaven has gained 2 Brave Souls. Rest well ❤❤❤❤
Rest in peace Lori and George. Thank you for being such major inspirations to the world!
How terrible, what a way to live😢😢😢😢😢
I agree.
They didn't see themselves being conjoined as a problem. It wasn't a terrible way for them to live.
RIP ladies !!
Wait, he was transgender too? Did not see that one coming.
🤦🏾♀️
I know
RIP😢I remember them from way back basically the beginning of the Discovery Channel when it was respectable, educational and actually entertaining. I’m so lucky to have been exposed to all sorts of people, conditions and lifestyles I wouldn’t normally see. Might be my GenXness but we seemed so much more open, accepting and tolerant of others different from ourselves as kids
Next time I feel like having a little pity party for myself, I will think of these heroic siblings.
Requiescat in Pace 🙏
They lived their lives with courage. RIP
I was saddened to see this . I admired them since the first time seeing them . They had what some never have is self acceptance . They strove to do their best and they were successful. May you
Rest in Peace 🕊️🕊️
Condolences to their family.
Rest In Paradise Lori & George 😇😇🙏🙏💟✝️💟💗💙
I don’t think I would have the strength they had if I was conjoined with my siblings
May God be with their families.
I recall seeing them in the news when i was in school. Beautiful & tragic. Sorry they are no longer with us.
RIP…❤️
Me scrolling: wait how is there conjoined male and female twins?
I hope in death they found peace and we're freed on the other side to walk side by side together as someone that died countless times as a kid due to grand Mail Seizures i know for a fact that they are happy
Rest in peace, ladies.
George was transgender😂
Ok maybe he has an excuse at least.
RIP two wonderful people.
Bless them 😢❤
I read that one of them peformed as "Reba." I refuse to even watch a video of that.
RIP to two wonderful human beings bless their family! 🙏💔
RIP to both of them.
I remember being introduced to them on an episode of Jerry Springer in the 90s.
May they rest in peace. Life is but a vapor.
Oh how sad, I loved these two. God bless them.
Life can be mean.
Rest easy 🙏🏼
I remember meeting them in north Georgia at a restaurant when I was 10 . This was the early 2000s , their documentary had just aired not long ago. They were as sweet as pie and funny. Totally sisters but each so unique and different
May their memories be blessings. 💖💖
aww that's so sad bless them
62 yo. Amazing. RIP Lori and George!!
Ok I was confused at the title at first.. wondering how conjoined twins could be male and female. Starting to think I been smoking too much weed.
It actually can happen but is extremely rare. It’s when an XXY (instead of the usual XX or XY embryo) splits into two identical embryos and one ends up as XX female and the other ends up as XY male, yet they are still identical twins, just opposite sexes instead of the same sex.
@@TheBOG3 😓
HOW will they be buried?
They had great respect for each other.
They loved each other so much, it showed.
They had no choice. 😅
I can't even fathom this...
Knucklehead
So sad to hear as I remember thier story many years ago. They were both courageous and also kind. Prayers and hugs to thier family and friends❤🙏🏻
Did they both die at the same time?
I’m heartbroken I loved watching these two I learned so much from them as well my confidence goes out to their family and friends❤️❤️❤️
R.I.P. 🙏🏻
God bless them. They were so amazing.
RIP
God bless them both x
I pray that in the future you will be born in a better and happier situation

🕊️💗🕯️💗🕊️
Awwww these are the sweetest and wisest human i have ever met. RIP may your next life also fill with positivity.
Dori became Reba and then George in 2007.
Dori liked the country stars, Reba McEntire and George Jones, I guess?
How do you misgender a deceased conjoined twin?????????????????????????????????????
Quite disgusted by this reporting.
How tragic. I always admired these folks.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I remember them. RIP❤
R.I.P
