Great video. My favourite band is The Damned. Followed The Lords because of the connection with Brian James. Saw every gig they did in London and the last one with Stiv in Paris. RIP Stiv.
I really regret not seeing these guys. Stiv really puts it well about early Christianity Church. He nailed it right on the head more than anyone else ever.
Nice to hear what he said about the early Church that what I believe today I think the devil killed him I don't know what his conversations with Jesus like but love to see him in heaven ✝️ plus love Brian James 🎸
Excellent footage, Travis. Thank you. This gig looks like it could have as openers for The Police. Miles Copeland managed both bands, and I know that they performed on the same bill.
Along with The Beat, U2 and more. IRS had a great roster of bands to choose from. Footage about the gig was on a recent episode of Sky Arts programme The Vaults.
@@PERCYSTAYSICK Sadly, I missed the Sky Arts programme. Thanks for the heads-up, as they sometimes repeat those. I must confess, however, that the Gateshead Police performance is one of my least favourites from them. I love The Police - together with Jimi Hendrix, they were the first act that I really "got into". However, the overly-invasive brass mars the Gateshead set for me. To paraphrase Andy Summers in his tour diary, I'm certain that those chaps were terribly nice people, but I'm not sure what they had to do with The Police.

Valor from Christian Death has said very similar things, too.
I was there! My first festival!
Long live the Lords!
"Truth is the sword of us all!~!"
Thanks Stiv. The truth shall set you free.
Long live to the Lords anymore bands like
this sad but true

Nice to see a professionally shot video.
I really cannot remember seeing this on the Tube
Thank you 🤘🏻
Stiv was the missing link between Iggy and GG! Praise The Lords Domino's VobiScum!

Yes, It was opening for the Police.
@@TravisBickle1963 Thanks for the confirmation, Travis. I thought as much.
