      I was fortunate. My first car was a 1974 Ford Custom 500. It was a PA state police car that was bought at auction by my neighbor. It was painted Grass Green and still had the spotlight mount on it. I bought it for $600. Everything worked incl A/C that I NEVER had to turn off..bc it had a 400 big block police interceptor motor. Plenty of HP to power anything needed! 😁

      @ have you ever been on the flight deck of a 747 for any time without air? No I thought not or you wouldn’t have made your comment, basically the 747 is an oven on the FD as all the heat from the cabin rises and the only place it can go is in the hump. • @johnmorris7815
      @johnmorris7815 27 днів тому +1

      @ on the Jumbo unlike all the twins I flew before and since the APU is just used for ground air/electrics and starting the engines, that’s it, it can’t even operate through the full flight envelope and is never required for any abnormal/emergency procedures. The normal after start checks turn the packs on and the runway checks include the packs for a packs off departure, the after takeoff checks bring the packs back on but they should be reinstated after acceleration altitude. What these guys were doing was none standard.

    • @MaxEPR
      @MaxEPR 26 днів тому

      @@johnmorris7815 We have no idea what the APT was or the company, for that matter. This may be a normal procedure for this company at this airport. In my early years at Western (as a Dispatcher) we had several Special Procedures airports in the mountain states. I was at a 747 start-up airline and going through ground school when they lost funding and went out of business, so I didn't finish GS, but I seem to recall that the APU can be used below 10 or 15,000' MSL.

Seeing Captain Boeing in the Captain’s seat with his four bar epaulettes fills me with admiration, pride and respect for my Captain sweet Captain. If I was a F/O, Captain Boeing would be the Captain who I would want to fly with. מעכשיו ועד עולם 😎U❤️
