Bruce was not only an inspiration to Rock Lee, but the creation of literally anything you can think of that has fighting in it, because he pioneered something we almost take for granted nowadays: true, honest fighting that does not exclude outside influences, and fighting that expresses oneself through the deadly art of actual combat. It's very fun to talk about what Bruce has inspired imo, especially because he himself always said to be fluid like water, and to allow your ambitious, prideful mind to learn and grow from the outside world. He wanted us to be inspired, to always Walk On, as he did. What he always said about expressing yourself honestly is why we have characters that show who they are through the way they fight on screen, and Bruce is why they're usually doing something kung fu/martial arts related. This is why we have a million MMA fighters saying Bruce is their idol. Like, even beyond that, we wouldn't have almost anything Asian on TV or popular media without him. Kung fu films, anime, etc. Before him, it was just white people slowly socking each other in the face, or white people making up the most racist caricatures of Asian people you've ever seen by dressing themselves up to "look Asian" and spam a bunch of shitty ass jokes. Bruce was literally like Steve Jobs when he was all like: "nigga, phones suck. Here's the iphone." Remember the meme "Omae wa mou shindeiru"? Idk if that anime is popular enough to be known, but it's from Fist of the North Star. The manga debuted on Shonen Jump in 1983, exactly 10 years after Bruce's tragic death. The main character, Kenshiro, is almost a direct ripoff (in a fun way) of Bruce and (Mad Max,) shouting stuff like "ATATATATA". Same hairstyle/eyebrows, etc, like Rock. The influence is painfully, pleasantly obvious. This series was the very beginning of every modern-style shonen you've ever seen. The first. Even before old ones like Dragon Ball and JoJo's, which are both heavily influenced by Bruce and FotNS.

yes Karrem Abdul Jabbar the NBA legend and Bruce lee the creator of jete kun do Legendary fight. All fights from the tower in the game of death were great the first one with his training buddy Dan also a master at Jete Kun Do. But also the master of Hapkido Ji Han Jae great fight. But the towering Karrem Abdul Jabbar was super good.
I hadn't seen the full fight before. The scene involving the light wasnt actually in the film. Most have been a deleted scene. You made the comment the game of death was a classic film well it wasn't really. Much of the film was terrible. I brought the DVD mainly to watch the 15 minutes of footage of Bruce Lee & the 3 fights he was involved in. There were other good moments of course the score & the fight scenes with the Bruce Lee lookalike but that was about it. This film when released was controversial. You will know why when you see it. Lastly the fight scenes between Bruce & Kareem would have to be my favourite fight scene I've seen with Bruce Lee

Kareem and Bruce Lee were friends in real life. Kareem was even Bruce's student. Kareem was actually very good at martial arts.
