Obviously in real life one would be dead but the character is supposed to be conditioned to such blows and realistically the actor Bob Wall was padded under his uniform with multiple layers of cardboard
Watch Bruce's left hand pull O'Haras defending arm downwards before he strikes with the iconic backfist in the first 2 sets. Most people dont pay attention to it but its honestly one of the best tactics that goes un-noticed by everyone i know
After being dead for 50 years, people started talking about him. He was born in the United States during World War II and lived in the British colony of Hong Kong before the age of 19. What is interesting is that he was a student, an actor and a street boy. He was kicked out of school for street fights and then transferred to other high schools. Because of this experience, he was recruited to participate in Hong Kong Inter-school boxing game champion(youth group)and also won the Hong Kong cha cha dance championship in the same year
Fun fact the glass bottle attack scene was filmed before Bruce did the sidekick. The actor Wall cut bruce during the bottle scene, so Bruce gave him a full power side kick as he was annoyed about it later on
One of the stuntmen, Phillip Ko, gave a hilarious account how every time Bruce would send Wall flying and everyone would go "Damn!" he'd then go "ONE MORE TIME!"
@4:30 "This is your boy?" Honestly that wasn't it though, Lee looked to the master of ceremonies and referee HAN himself, to confirm the game is over. Lee looked at him for the confirmation for the match being done as Lee had won 3 out of 3. And his face is intense because he's still in a heightened state of mentally being "in the zone" needed to defeat his opponent. He looked at the ref (Han) for direction. @2:10 "How do you know when to go" The trick of the competition is that you don't know who will be the identity of the offending attacker or who will be the defending reactor. It's anybody's game, which makes the game very tense for the players since it's an unknown. But the moment their wrist make contact that question immediately begins and it's up to either one to choose who wants to make the first move. Also once hit, that's the end of the round. You can't retaliate or continue engaging like a normal fight, first hit is the point. And it's best out of 3. In this case, Lee had a flawless victory, as it was 3 straight in a row, Ohara did not anticipate someone this fast.
You know I have heard about a youtuber named daetrix is making a show called the rise of the last dragon animated series based on the last dragon movie from 1985
He was too fast for the camera......The will and consistancy that he displayed was very inhuman. 2 things I loved to watch was the 2 finger push up's and the chest hit. INSANE!!!
I do not hit you, for it hits you all by itself ! Bruce Lee. when you have trained in martial arts consistanly for many years in a fight you dont think about what moves to do, your training and instincts reacts all by themselves. hence you are not fighting me you are fighting martial arts. it really is like having a wingman or bodygaurd that steps in if a confrontation happens.
Bruce Lee's kick was powerful that when O'Hara is kicked into the group, 1 of them ended up with broken limbs.

Yeah Bruce kick speed
Look at the expression on Lee's face when he sees who is opponent is,like,I'm going to enjoy this.

In a movie, i LOVED the noise he would make when his action was finished.

O'Hara was actually one of Bruce's students in real life. He is still alive.
Bob Wall died 30 Jan 2022
Flawless Victory ❤
I love that he noticed the Ali shuffle. Bruce spent many hours watching film of Ali's fights.

Hey guys fun fact...after Bruce did side kick on Bob Wall one of the stunt men broke his arm trying to catch him. Good review.
No one in the history of movie making was it common. Again........LEGEND!!!
O'Hara murdered Bruce's characters sister in the movie so there was an element of revenge.

The Iron nut technique
O'Hara had no chance with Bruce Lee. According to what I have read Bruce Lee really kick O'Hara (Bob Wall)over the chair along with the crowd.
The guy on the right is not too damn bright that's for certain smdh.

Nawww....,that was a stomp....,a crush..., total destruction of his windpipe into paste.

Forrest Law....... Wins!

The world is not America humans
It’s funny when three adults mistake a frankly staged, cinematic fight for a real one. They killed me with their naivety.
They r impressed by the speed n technique. Things dt cnt be choreographed.
Dnt worry about others, save some for urself.
@@SaijinVegetaм I don't need this clownery. And all staged fights are called choreography...
