Hi Julia. I’m amazed at the progress you’ve made and how you make everything fit so well into your new studio. Your organisational skills are impressive. Take your time and enjoy finding homes for all your supplies. Thank you for keeping us updated. Wishing you wonderful times in your new home. X
Thank you so much Sheila! I can finally see it coming together. Found the perfect spot for the paper racks and ink pads last night. Whew! See you soon!
Your room is really coming along nicely! I am 100% envious of how big your space is and all of the wonderful storage units you have to work with! You know once this is done, Jon will have to come visit you because you wont want to ever leave that awesome room! Thank you for the mid-progress tour! Give yourself some grace, take your time and take it easy my friend! We look forward to your full return but until then - enjoy setting up your new studio!
Thanks Maureen! Just so you know I am trying to weed as I go, things I know I won't use for sure, or that I have too many of. That may slow the process a bit, but it really feels good to shake some of the stuff off. Take care my Friend!
@ that’s the best thing to do instead of cluttering up the new studio with things you don’t think you’ll use! I’ll be doing another round of that while I’m back here in the PA studio and probably a final round when I make it back to the GA studio!
Hi Julia. It's wonderful to see your progress on your studio. What a wonderful space you have to work with. The floors are gorgeous. I can understand you're chomping on the bitnto get it finished but just take your time and don't overdo. I'm delighted that you have met your neighbour who happens to enjoy papercrafting. How wonderful. Thanks so much for the tour. Take care and look forward to further installments as you're able. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
I am so glad we went with a light floor in the studio because it is surprisingly dark with the ceiling vaults. I find if I uplift the light diffusers it really helps even out the light in the whole room. Last night I had a bit of a brainfart and figured out the paper rack and ink storage area in the studio, by re-arranging (Sigh, again) the office area. But in the end I can look out the window with the violet. I wish I had had enough sense to have the window seat taken out before I had the floors done. It's kind of a waste of space, since you can't acces the storage under it.
Good to hear from you. Your studio is looking GREAT!!! LOVE your craft desks!!! Very CLEVER to store the rolling carts behind the hutches!!! Have a GREAT week!!!
Oh it is going to be so fabulous when you get everything in place! I know you will enjoy it so much. Remember, good things just take time. Enjoy the process of arranging everything and when you do get started, it will be perfect. Thanks for sharing your process of setting everything in place.
Hey Julia, I am impressed with how much you have achieved in these past couple of weeks and thank you for downloading this pre- studio completion tour. I am loving your layout, and I am sure you will find homes for all your supplies. You might find that you will move items around until you find the perfect spot... I am still moving things around in my studio to the point that I am forgetting where I have relocated stuff!!! Maybe it is a senior's thing...🙃 Julia, how does the size of your beautiful new studio compare to the studio you had on the farm? You are so blessed to have a wet room upstairs, so you are not having to run downstairs to the kitchen every time you need to clean stamps, stencils and hands!!! I also like the walk-in wardrobe space to store surplus supplies like your papers etc... out of sight, but not out of mind... we hope! Julia, you take care of you. I am sure that we all will look forward to you creating some lovely cards and watercolours from your new studio in your time. Take care my friend, and I will chat with you soon. God's blessings, love and hugs from your Aussie friend. 🩷🤗💐
G'Day Gloria! This space is wider than the farm studio was. But part of it needs to be my office area, which I did not have at the farm. I think it will be much easier to have everything all in one room and the supplies in "Off site" storage aka the closet/wardrobe. LOL After recording yesterday's video I came up with a solution for the paper racks and ink storage which I think will work quite well. This morning we found some wire shelving which should much better suit the stamp case conundrum so I feel like we are finally on the right road again. Now the major issue is camera, mic and lighting for filming. I tried to do a card video last night and it just wasn't working. I was hoping not to have to screw any of the rig into the walls because they are textured and repairs willl be a bit of a pain. Still hoping some solution will present that solves the problem. Take care my Friend and Be Blessed knowing you are held in the palm of His hand.
You will re-arrange many times until everything has a place. I’m planning to redo my spaces after Christmas. Then I won’t find anything! You got this and love your new space. 💌✂️❤️
Oh goodness B - I have re-arranged many times already. But you are exactly right! I finally figured out the paper rack and ink placement last night after this video aired. Baby steps dontcha know!
Hey julia, wow what a craft space you have. The flooring is gorgeous. If i had that space i would live in there. Lol, you wouldnt see me for weeks. Please dont apologise for not doing your crafting, watercolour etc. It looks like you had a lot on your plate. I am so pleased for you julia. You deserve it. Well as usual please take care of you. See you soon. Xxx❤
What a great space for your craft room, Julia! I’m sure you will be re-organizing throughout the next several months but I’m sure it won’t slow your crafting down too much. A girl’s gotta craft, right? Happy for you that you are in your new house as it’s been an “epic” move. ❤️🇨🇦
Julia, your room is looking pretty great so far. My granddaughter and her family will be moving into an apartment next month. I'm looking forward to moving my craft room back into its own space. I haven't made very many cards since ,I gave up my craft room for my great grandson. It's just not as convenient. Good luck on getting your studio set up and completed the way you vision. Looking forward to seeing your videos soon.
I understand that completely Roxanne! I just watched a great video about getting your mojo back by NB cards here is a link if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/p32dYnyjqcI/v-deo.html
