      When I use it that way, I only have to charge it once a month!
      And it reduces screentime on my actual phone. Haha.

    Literally the only thing stopping me buying one... zero updates. No new versions, no security patches... it's obsolete even before it's delivered.

    • @TheFoxyKevinT
      @TheFoxyKevinT  Місяць тому +7

      Personally, I've never been inconvenienced by that, but it's a fair enough dealbreaker.

    • @michaelmuncy8136

      To call the phone obsolete because a lack of updates means you’re probably not the target audience for this

    • @Paul.Reviews
      @Paul.Reviews Місяць тому

      @@michaelmuncy8136 That's the case for every phone... it just happens immediately with Unihertz. With most phones, you get at least 2/3 years of safe use - now as much as 7 with flagship devices.

      No updates sounds like a plus for me. No updates means it can't get any worse than when it started.

    I've had mine for less than a full day, and I still have to get out of the new-phone-fever phase to tell if it's actually helped me reduce screen time, but I already love how small it is- I have hated the ballooning size of smartphones, and was sad to see the smaller-size options slowly fall off.

    • @TheFoxyKevinT

      Typing on this thing at length will be annoying, but the rest is really damn nice.

    I also want dis form factor but the price to performance what keeps holding me back though it's super portable too. Even though I don't like Iphone, I like the Iphone 5 size back in the day wish phone companies make compact, easy to one held.

      @TheFoxyKevinT  Місяць тому

      I understand your worry that this doesn't have the latest and great specs, but let me assure you: it doesn't matter.
      Honestly, anything that came out after 2020 runs pretty damn well.
      Having gone from a Galaxy Flip 5 to this, I'm not bothered at all.

    Yeah, typing isn't tough, at all. Predictive text and voice-to-text, make the smaller keyboard a non-issue. I've had the Jelly 2 for a few years now and it's just perfect.
    Kickstarter is about to begin for the Jelly Max. No solid info as of now but it'll probably be a bit smaller than the iphone 13 mini.

    Wish they made it a little smaller like the Jelly Pro. I've been using the Jelly Pro for three years now. Looking to buy a Star, but still not sure because lf the increased size. Not too much though, but the PRO is so convenient.

    I've had the Jelly 2 for three years now. I've been very happy with it and it is till kicking and is more than capable to keep up. ..But the downside is that it only got one OS update to Android 11, over two years ago in january 2022. Now i have to get a new phone cause the one i have has outdated security and is no linger safe to use according to my bank provider. I'm afraid the Jelly Star will also be abandoned within a year or so.

    • @TheFoxyKevinT
      @TheFoxyKevinT  2 місяці тому +1

      It's possible. By then, there should be a successor. I know "just buy the new version" is a shitty workaround, but it's probably how it's gonna be.
      At least it's $200-ish and not $1000!

      @@TheFoxyKevinT that's great news, that means I can use it to video call on Google meet. I'm glad there really is no sacrifice in performance or usability for the small form factor. My Samsung watch should work. NFC works. Now I know I can Video chat with My family. I think I'm sold. At least it's affordable enough to give it a try before I drop big money on the zflip5. I'm tired of the size of my s22ultra. I've removed all social Media from my life. But I still like useful online banking and watching Podcasts which stops me from just getting a Nokia 3120 or something similar. I can't remember the last time I used my s pen.
