Gus knew something was up when Hector gave him that look and was the last Salamanca, but it was too late once he realized it was a trap. Walt and Hector destroyed Los Pollos Hermanos.
I haven’t watched the show. Lack of time really. The Wire. Reacher S1 (S2 is good, a letdown tho) Reacher surprised me with how strong everyone is. No damsel in distress. No weak people to be saved for dramas sake. No antagonist that’s nerfed.
That is why they make it abundantly cear in the Godfather. Never make it personal. He was so pompous in his vendetta, he failed in the most unceremoniuos way possible even tough he achieved his goal of making him suffer til the end.
how the guy next to hector didn't see the bomb on the side of the wheelchair? It was facing right at him before he turned hector around. Not very believable. Gus is a cautious man. He would have triple checked.
Yes, Gus is a cautious man, but because he views it all as just business. Money, product, lives...in the end, everything was just business. But here, this was personal. He let's emotions get the better of him. You can see the same thing happen when he poisons Eladio and his men. He has to do it that way because he wants Eladio to KNOW, in his last moments, it was him. Hacienda like that, it would be almost nothing for a sniper to do, but that isn't personal enough. The cartel was always Gus's one weak spot.
The bodyguard checked for wires then stepped out to inform Gus. That's when Walt installed the bomb. After Gus arrives and the bodyguard gives the all-clear? Yeah he didn't bring metal detector with him that time. They didn't anticipate that Hector would be the bomb.
It's a home made bomb. It's not really looking like an explosive, looks like some kind of device, and there often are devices attatched to wheelchairs. It's not that obvious. Though, of course, for a more intelligent and through henchmen, it would've been sus.
I love the part at 0:48 where the Jimmy calls Gus and says "s'all good man!" so that Gus knows it's safe to visit the elder home where Jimmy practices elder law. Bravo Vince!
The bomb was made so the viewer would see it. If it had been a real life event the the good teacher probably would of used a plastic explosive hidden where you would not be able to see it. But then you would just say what happened?
i dont think we needed to see the bomb at all. just show some wires coming from the bell and show them going under the chair or something. the actor did so well to show the emotion of what he was about to do, the audience can put it together when there's an explosion. and i think gus could still figure it out at the last second if he saw the wires as well
My mexican cousin lost his dad same way basically. Old og mex org crime bound to wheelchair with a bell living in a nursing home died in bombing. We sorta suspect show mocking a bit there
These movies are modeled after apparently "real" gangsters. I never could see any point in selecting an occupation where you cannot walk the street without wondering who will kill you. (Money and power mean nothing as the bullet hits your head). Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)
that happened to a news reporter on a dock some kind of blast happened blonde lady only had one eyeball she looked just the same being handled from a emt next to the docks bleeding out 1982ish ???
I noticed a continuity error - the bomb was placed on Gus's left side, but after it exploded, they showed the right side of his face getting wiped out. A pretty noticeable mix-up in the scene! It’s always interesting how these things slip through in even the most intense moments.
"Wait here"... That henchman was so lucky that was the last order he received from Gus.
Yeah, for a short while, until Mike took care of him.

Hector proved that he came to get down until his last breath.
I read the title and thought this was the scene where Hector shit himself 😂😂😂
explosive crap XD
It was Gus who shit himself instead
I mean he technically also would have shit himself here when he dies.
04:29: Hector's wheelchair is completely empty. The guy seems to be pulverized. And happy.
my guess is that he got his ass blown back through the window
The Hector's Remains fall when Gus Adjust his Tie.
You can see a leg lying on the floor at the end of the video
Man I just love how everyone get the justice they deserve in this show. It’s so well done. There will never be another show like BB.
Except Mike, he died for nothing and Kaylee got nothing, all that he did was in vain.
The 'back-story' of the hatred in this excerpt is fleshed-out in the series "Better Call Saul",which I highly recommend!!!
Hector doesn't deserve any justice
@@doodlergames5118 sure but I mean, it all ended very mutually, kind of like a tie b/w Gus and the Cartel all things considered.

I don't think that was ceiling tile that fell. It was probably a chunk of Don Hector.

Its supposed to be clear, how come they didnt check for wires if they knew he talked to the DEA?
Tyrus checked the room for wires before this scene with a metal detector. Walt ran in when Tyrus stepped out to install the bomb
What attention to detail. You can even see the eye muscles moving in his empty eye socket.
Good eye my man
I can't imagine a show as good as this. All actors and story lines were flawless. This show was legendary! 🙌

Reacher surprised me with how strong everyone is. No damsel in distress. No weak people to be saved for dramas sake. No antagonist that’s nerfed.
This is the origin of Darth Moff Gideon.
This scene was foreshadowed by Jessie when he asked Mike seasons ago what was up with that Terminator shit when Gus walked out into the line of fire.
Even almost dead , Gus was trying to be as pristine as possible.
Once seen, this bit of TV history can never be unseen.
Hector is the real life representation of “😤”
That is why they make it abundantly cear in the Godfather. Never make it personal. He was so pompous in his vendetta, he failed in the most unceremoniuos way possible even tough he achieved his goal of making him suffer til the end.

Can someone check the carpark to see if the driver is still waiting for gus 😂😂😂😂
I love this scene! Mark Margolis was so awesome as Hector. Even as a "crippled little rat", he went out like a BOSS!
He liked bombs in Scarface too. Alberto "The Shadow"
He was crippled but not a rat. He never said anything to the DEA it was all a ploy to get Gus to think he did so he would go there.
