Love Military bands! Makes me proud to be British
Military bands are my favorite #TAMU #BlueBrigade
My God but it makes you proud to be British! I absolutely Love The Military Bands of Britain. The most amazing part is that Across the 3 Services, they can parade Several Brass Bands Each, As well as the Pipes & Drums from Multiple Regiments. There is Something about all the Military Bands of Britain, that makes Every Single One Head & Shoulders Above other Military Bands in the World. They are Always Perfectly Timed, every Arm Swing, every Instrument Raised to be played together & Returned together, every Drummer marking the Beat, every Instrument held at the same level. The Sight & Sound perfect all finishing on the same note together, all Movements a Perfect Mirror Image of the next. Anyone who plays a Musical Instrument appreciates the fact of how difficult it is to move at one Cadence & Maintain the Perfect timing of the Music. These Bands make it look easy & seamlessly change from 1 piece to the next in perfect time.
This Particular Video was very Moving, as behind the Bands, Marched Squadrons of Impeccably turned out Soldiers, Sailors & Airmen and Women, Marching in Perfect Rhythm, their arms Moving as if they were Chained Together & Behind them Groups of ex Servicemen & Women & also even the K9 Representatives. It gives you a short glimpse of the Unique Bond these Men & Women Share & Pride in The Regiments they Serve in Now or Served in, in the Past. Each year I Witness Remembrance Day Ceremony, it makes me Understand More & More why my Father left the Relative Safety of New Zealand, to Serve in the RAF During WWll & I get a lump in my throat & the back of my eyes tickles, as I watch the Pride on the faces of the Veterans as they March with their Own Regiments, with straight Backs & Perfect Timing. I'm Prejudiced, but I've witnessed Many Countries Military Bands, none IMO match the British Bands. But Then No One does Pomp & Pageantry Like The British, God Love Them.
Thank you for Posting. Lest we Forget
Magnifique ! Comme toujours les défilés de l'armée britannique sont exceptionnels. Merci pour cette vidéo
Seeing these wonderful young men & women prepared to fight for their country to protect us it is such a shame that so few young black people don't join. The camaraderie & feeling of belonging to something akin to a family is something so many seem to lack. Instead of joining gangs how much better for themselves if they joined the military. Scenes like this make me proud.
You are not very well informed, there are many black men in the armed forces. In fact one of the late Queen Elizabeth's former equerries, Lieutenant Nana Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah, is black. He was very prominent at Her Majesty's funeral - walking next to her coffin at the processions from Buckingham palace to Westminster Hall, Wesminster to Wellington arch and her final journey to Windsor Castle. Lieutenant Colonel Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah has also commanded hundreds of men.
Your comments about black men joining gangs are steeped in prejudice. Black people are not a monolith, there are many of us that are educated, sucessful and law abiding. Why focus on the criminal minority spoiling it for the rest of us.
@@sylviamaua745 Unfortunately the law-abiding majority don't make "good" headlines.
I am well aware there are some young black people in the military but seeing as how many are in violent gangs I do wish more would sign up to get out of this situation. No matter what colour their skin is it is lovely to see these wonderful people marching in their beautiful uniforms. I didn't mean to offend anyone by my comment.
Dearest Sylvia, call me biased, but as a veteran of the armed forces, I couldn’t agree with you more, the forces aren’t just about taking out the unwanted enemy, it’s about pride in yourself, your unit, and platoon.
We are a brothers in arms, and I’m proud to say I served with some great black guy’s, and females of the highest class. Nobody does it better than the British Armed Forces 🥁🎺🎼🥇🏆
@@nickmander6088 thanks, it seems that @Mary Wiedman believes the army would be a good place for Black people involved in gangs and crime - maybe she believes that army discipline is what they need. I don't agree: the problem of indiscipline and criminality starts from lack of discipline at home, poor parenting, lack of role models which goes hand in hand with poor academic performance and exclusions from school.
In the military, soldiers are handling weapons and live ammunition, they are responsible not only for their lives but those of their colleagues. The army needs mentally sound people, it is not the place for gang members and other dysfunctional people, that's the role of Social Services.
If I had been there I would not have noticed any of their faults because I think they’re all just wonderful! Lovely to see, thank you!
World number one
Nice angles, nice shots, nice sound. This is a fine ending for the day. The RAF Band was playing as we marched past the Cenotaph yesterday. They often play when it’s the time for the RAF Squadron societies march past.
Thank you for posting!
God bless each and every military person, and family for their sacrifices.
This video has taken me back about 35 years. 40F Squadron (Air Cadets) - Maidstone - I did bang the big drum - happy days. Blimey!
15:11 Senior Drum Major Gareth Chambers, Irish Guards leading The Band of the Irish Guards
Thank you!
The grey coats reminded me of the guards in the Wizard of OZ. 😎
Brilliant video as per normal. Loved seeing the service personnel as well as the bands 👍
I was happy to see them all.Great turnout.Good video well done.
So proud to be British. Fantastic video thanks 😊
Great video as usual, thanks. Warm day for marching in greatcoats.
Fantastic video and audio quality, well done!
Absolutely wonderful- much respect ❤
Great video!
excellent video. thanks.
Great bands and music.//
I do not recall ever seeing so many different military bands in one parade! Marvelous. I noticed some pieces the bass drum beat every step, and others it was the LEFT foot strike. When I played bass drum in the US Army (1968-1970) it was customary to strike for every LEFT foot and every third right foot. (LEFT, LEFT, LEFT RIGHT LEFT)
the best off ten best the Britich army bands
Hope to one day see this myself, live and not on UA-cam. Folks, I am an American but sure appreciate that the Brits fought the Nazi for two years before the U.S became involved.
Excellent and in order of Seniority, The Senior Service, The Army and bringing up the rear, the Junior Service, The Royal Air Force.m
9:09 Drum Major Daniel Fairley, 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards leading The Band of the Scots Guards
Thank you!
Nice parade and Forest
Damn..My eyes got colonised watching these BRITS 😂
Good video!!
U.S. military could learn a lot from these guys.
Why???
Does anyone know if RAF pace count is higher or does just look like they're quicker? Thanks and great vid mate.
10:17 Drum Major WO2 Scott Fitzgerald, Coldstream Guards leading The Band of the Grenadier Guards
Thank you!
The music is great, playing while marching a long distance, in unison…it’s amazing to watch. Thanks to whoever followed the band filming so we can really hear the music. And thanks to the military. Now if only they would protect the borders from massive invasion of hostile criminals.
Good video 👍👍
Appearing but unfortunately not playing, Pipes and Drums of The Highlanders, 4th Battalion, (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons) The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Cabar Feidh; Bydand.
With a few Coldstream Guards mixed in.
From America, best on your Remembrance Day. Our best allies and international friends. But no pipes and drums?
The Pace of the R.A.F are they trying to compete with a Rifle Regiment ????
Who was the fourth Guards DrumMajor on parade. Thank you.
Why no pipes and drums😭
The best band for timing and presentation, in my humble opinion, were the Bryl Cream Boys.
Go RAF.
Even the boller ats were in step.
Here in Brazil, the bass drum marking is in the low tempo. Most of our marching songs are in 2/4
The BRITS are a different breed and always do it there own way 😂
@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 I think the European and American way is right, because the drums usually have sheet music. Here, not all bands use sheet music for percussion, so they standardized a cadence.
Anyway, I think both styles are very vibrant.
Hi Military Bands Everywhere. Not exactly related to this clip, but can anyone advise as to why at the Rehearsal on Thursday (at Welli Barracks) and on the Sunday,, the Royal Marine contingent formed up on the left of the Royal Navy rather than their traditional place on the right? Never seen this happen before. The Royal Navy were first on Whitehall as they are Senior Service(I did notice life guards marched up from Horse Guards to form up first.) Any answers please?
Hi Frank, thanks for excellent question. Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to this small detail. Hopefully someone else on here who see’s the comment can give some inside knowledge on why this happened!
I am amazed Khan allowed it to happen.
ELLOS DON LOS QUE DEFIENDEN AL MUNDO
Ellos son los que definden al mundo y los regocikan al pueblo con sus. Marchas
just wondering why some of the band leaders still had ER on the uniform when the new motto is CR.
It would be EXTREMELY expensive to change tens of thousands of uniforms over all at once. Uniforms will change over gradually. It's only been three months.
🥰🇺🇦🇵🇱
Great video but seems the streets are half empty and obviously show a small support from the British for military turn outs or remembering the many who died in wars when may other countries show streets overflowing with people. Shame for these lads serving old and present.
This is simply just the parade from the barracks to the main event at the cenotaph where thousands stand and watch and TV cameras to broadcast pictures globally. There is great support, just this part of the event is not the main bit!
at least the courts didn't let black-assed people in!
The r
does this goddam war ever end
Whoever you are no I'm not ashamed a few black young man and young ladies not going into the military for country don't have anykind of respect.
Pardon me, but I was just curious what you were responding to. I can't find a post that fits your response. Just curious. Thx.
RAF where the best
Guards got out of step as soon as they left welly barracks 😂
RAF Are the best Miitary Band out their
Personally, I’d say that the RM band is the best.
But in reality musicians from all three services are interchangeable nowadays.
Worst band I ever marched to were the WRAC. Pace was all wrong.
Brilliant my grandfather huh teller first ww in royal Scotland regiment fought the Germans God bless them all anan
@@davedickinson822 yeah RM band are gleaming too
RM band playing Soldier and Sailor too, not Per Mare, Per Teram.
