You and your family have come a long way in 13 years of marriage! How I do wish I could have know about minimalism when I was raising my children in the 90’s. We did homeschool, and gained so much those years of school! I, of course, accumulated so much stuff on 40 years of marriage and have been eliminating stuff the past two years. It’s freeing and healthy for me. I no longer have things on my wall as well! No stuff, no dust! Great video!
Thank you! Yes, it is very freeing to be able to let go of things that don't serve a purpose. That's amazing that you homeschooled your children back in the 90's. I imagine it would have been a lot more difficult without the resources we have today.
yeah, a vegan minimalist! and wow, your family is best proof that having a family doesn't mean you can't be a minimalist. i really enjoy your videos. youtube is filled with loud and noisy UA-camrs, I've always enjoyed people who are more quiet. i hope you and your family have a great weekend :) (p.s. I'm also learning Japanese :) but bought myself a Japanese grammar dictionary book, I still do like the feeling of physical books, it's just a different feeling to hold it and flip the pages, but i also read some books on my tablet)
You look so cute in that dress & I loved the color of your pan for toasting, the pretty white cattle and just the whole vibe of the house - also, your eyes are gorgeous! Keep the wonderful videos coming🤍🤍
Such an inspiring video. I loved it! My husband would love, love, love your mustang. We have modest cars, but he always looks at the sporty, fast ones. I never would have thought to pan fry bread. (Duh!!!) I do have a toaster, but keep it in a cupboard when not in use. And, yes, it does make lots of crumbs. Had to laugh at the Get Smart DVD's. This is from my era & I totally forgot about this show. Not a makeup wearer, either. I have been using the Vitamin C lotion at night & I think that it is helping. My skin looks brighter. Are you still liking it? And we have been using cloth napkins for years, although I can't get my husband to give up paper towels. I'm going to check out the "Who gives a crap" toilet paper.
Thank you!!! The Mustang was originally my car to take the kids to school in, but they no longer go to school and do not fit in the backseat very well anymore so we may sell it or trade it in for something that has more room . Yes, I really like the Vitamin C serum. It is helping my tan fade and even out my skin tone.
Subscriber #485. I really enjoy your videos you have a lovely house and family. I look forward to seeing more of your content. Truly inspiring me to keep downsizing. Thanks!!!
Beautiful video. Chuckled about a house with nothing but a very flashy car! 🤣🤣 each to their own!! Re the alarm clock verses phone. The EMFs from a phone are probably more dangerous than the light from a clock.
I am not minimalist but I sure do a lot of these things , I don’t drink alcohol , I don’t have much furniture, I don’t own a car , I don’t have Knick knacks , I don’t buy things made out of plastic or most paper products , except tp , I am mostly vegetarian and I don’t buy fancy cleaning products , or prepackaged convenience foods, I do love my hobbies though! But I make soy candles and soap so it’s useful , but ….I won’t give up my biggest possession, my piano !
Hello, really love your channel! Your furniture is simple and beautiful. Can you please tell us where one can get your lovely living room floor cushions ?
I did order a few items from "Who gives a crap." Toilet paper, paper towels & tissues. Can't get my husband on board with using cloth hankies, like I do. Great video today.
Thank you! I find it easier to order that online because I have it on automatic renewal so I don't have to worry about running out. Let me know how you like their products:)
Loved this so much - you have a lovely home & I too agree with clean walls & maybe one special piece of 🖼 art. Hope you all enjoyed Xmas 🎄 & wishing you a very happy New Year 🎊 😍
Thank you so much ☺️ Yes I like the walls mostly bare:) We haven’t found artwork for our new place yet, but would like to have one piece here too:) We had a nice quiet Christmas. I hope you have a Happy New Year 🎈 too:)
Great videos! There’s so much we don’t buy anymore you just forget over the years. My big ones are - sale clothing, house decorations, new beauty products, paper books, DVD’s, fancy underwear, anything for my teaching career or classroom!, takeaway, gym membership.. I could go on… Haha!
Thank you:). Yes! that's so true and I think a lot of it has changed in the last two years to since the pandemic. Since we don't really go out so much anymore we need a lot less stuff for that as well:)
I also have the Balmuda Kettle and balmuda toaster though I don’t use the toaster coz I don’t eat bread but my husband love breads he uses it😊i live in tokyo for 25 years now and my husband is a japanese 😊I’m also in my minimalism journey for 3 years now.
I love to pan fry my bread to 🥰🥰 I only wear mascara. And everything i own is black 😊and i love it❤ I don't buy colors anymore because i always ended up donating all the coulurd stuff. I dont buy new things only 2hand and when i am at work (drama teacher) i love to use my old stuff as costume or something to the plays. I only paint my own art 🎨 i don't buy paintings. I dont inpuls shop anymore after starting minimalism. Or i mean extreme minimalism. I love the "rules" that come whit this lifestyle, i know it maybe sonds weird but it is more free whit them 🥰 Hugs to everyone that need one from me in Sweden 🇸🇪 🤗 ❤️
Lmaoooo I don't have a coffee maker either! I buy instant coffee sometime and just boil me some water for it. My job has a coffee maker so sometime I make a lot there before a start work. Lol free coffee! 😁
Interesting. This highlights how families differ, regarding lifestyle and culture. We have not owned a TV at all for many years, have no need of water filters in our country, use our phones and an ipad for our Kindle collection rather than a separate device… On the other hand I never understand why I so often see duvets without a washable cover in US videos - why??! I also wonder why you never entertain - no friends or family where you live? For us, hospitality is important - as I said, everyone is different and has to adapt to their own needs!!
Hi! Thanks for watching:) For me it’s hard to find covers for the duvet. We can’t really entertain family because we don’t live near our family anymore. We also have not been entertaining friends because of Covid. Maybe in the future we will be able to. Hope you have a good week ✨

Thanks so much 😊
I love these sorts of videos. It’s so neat to see how different minimalists live out their values.
Thank you so much ☺️ I’m so glad you liked it🥰
This is so refreshing compared to all the consumption videos on UA-cam 😍😍😍
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you liked the video:)
It's ok to have some special knick knacks. I'm minimalist but still have some items for beauty and enjoyment. I'll always keep some books. 😊

Goals. This looks so relaxing
I know the seating arrangement looks small, but it's better this way
Look at all of those “Get Smart” DVD’s 📀
They are the best😊
I really like your floor seating, do you have a link for them? New to this channel and love it here.
Thanks:) Welcome 🤗 here is the link amzn.to/3Hzh9d0

Thank you sooo much for this video that really inspired me a lot 👍🏼❤️
I recognize the sweet music, could you tell me where it’s from ?
Merci 🙏
Hi, the music is the copyright free music that UA-cam provides. I try to pick music I find relaxing.

@@Michelle_Emm I watched it but cds and records is different to DVDs
My son has some records and CDs now
I enjoyed this video.
Thank you so much 😊 I am glad you liked it✨
Great video, but please close the tap when you wash your face. That's a lot of wasted water. xx
Thanks:) I try to, I forget to sometimes:)

Soaps in plastic bottles.
It is easier to get up from the high bed, also It is easier to get on it , especially for people with disabilities.
Yes, that is true. Futon beds are not for everyone, but if you can use them they are great!
They are the exception, not the rule.
If you ever never drank coffee, how do you know if it bothers your stomach?
I have had coffee a long time ago I’m not sure if I stated that incorrectly or not, but it was too strong for me:) sorry for the confusion
I like your video , but I don't like peoples dependency on electronics. They make people a lot less self sufficient, especially the young people.
love the no makeup
Thank you 😊

It's like a cult.
It's nothing like a cult, there is no leader and there are no rules. No meeting place, no-one telling you what to do. Religion is a cult.
budda figure is not necessery
Minimalism isn’t about not having anything, it is about only having the things that bring you joy:)
@@TheMinimalistFam Although I admire your lifestyle, true strict utilitarianism is generally superior.
why do you use straws?! its stupid
We use the straws mainly for smoothies and for lemons and limes because they are acidic on your teeth :)
This is true.
@@TheMinimalistFam You can use chemically basic foods in quick succession to counteract it.
Get rid of the picture on the wall
