I hope this starts up again in neighborhoods. As a single mom, I started a group of like minded people where we shared large family sized groceries, especially produce; we had a toy library, books and DVD (ok, a while ago, lol), and when one rented a carpet cleaner for 24 hrs, we all used it. We had a "my time" schedule to share babysitting. it was awesome.

Interesting about magnesium 😮. The western way of life has had many people believing they need all these STUFF to be happy when it's quite the opposite. We need to rethink what our "needs" truly are... stuff only weigh us down and sqeezes the life out of us: think about how much you have to work to buy all these things you don't actually need 😶
These videos have inspired me to reduce and/or eliminate my excess. Especially the 30 days/one item a day video. Talk about motivation of what really matters and what doesn’t!! You are an amazing human. ❤️
I want to move from my parents' house, years ago I discovered minimalism, and I have been working on having only what I need since then, it brings me peace I like that you are not only minimalist, but also sustainable in your lifestyle. I was very happy to see the backpack ready to travel 🚴🏻♂️ Saludos desde Argentina! 🇦🇷
Try using 1 tablespoon of white vinegar (for every 30 clothes) on your final wash when you do your laundry. The vinegar will help remove any smells especially if you dry your clothes indoors.
Me and my husband also don't have a dresser/closet/wardrobe or an iron! Just a long rail that fits perfectly on one side of our bedroom where all our clothes are hanging up and where we can see everything 😊👍
I also don't have a trash can, a TV and an iron. Without bed I couldn't make it for long... I tried it all, but a certain hight is definitely good for getting up especially at a certain point of age. And some of the things are actually not minimalist 😄 Yes, you don't have a standard towel, but you have something else instead isn't it? The Japanese towel we also have here for camping. For me it is a question of how much comfort do I want to have. For me they're excellent for travelling, but on the long run I prefer a cozy towel.
Your videos have been inspired and refreshing to me. I think I have a tendency to over complicate life and get overwhelmed. What you’ve shown about your lifestyle are refreshingly simple and I’d like to replicate that, even if it’s just a little bit at a time. My wife wanted me to ask you how you deal with people gifting you unnecessary things you don’t need in polite ways? We are recently married and both of our families are always buying us stuff for when we get a house of our own. We appreciate them doing that but it’s too much. Because they are going out of their way to buy things for us we feel rude turning them away. Any recommendations?
It’s important to take the gifts from your friends because your friends care about you. You can decide use it or get rid of it. The purpose of presents is receiving and being thankful.
Maybe make it known you don't need any more things. Nobody does. You can skip gifting most of the time to no awful outcome. I haven't done Christmas in many years. I didn't need to spend a lot of money. The kids didn't need to be spoiled and I didn't need to take things home. Nice gifts: a plant or a nice flower arrangement in say an ice cream glass. Soaps. Think small and personal. Things from Etsy. Like handmade items. Nice coffee or teas. Experiences, like massages or hairstyling.
If you have long hair, just water might not be enough, but now, even mainstream brands like Garnier offer shampoo bars, they are pretty good, and light. Also, a bar of Marseille soap is good for washing dishes, for those if us who can't do without! It cuts grease really well. :-) And by the way, thank you for the tip about magnesium. I got some and it seems to be working ok. No more heavy detergent bottles to carry, yay!
Thank you for your nice comment! I've never heard about something like shampoo bars before! Thanks for the mentoring. It really helped. I feel much wiser.
@@SamuraiMatcha I've been using shampoo bars for about 4 years, made of aloe vera extract, virgin coconut and carrot oil fruit. I never missed using shampoo since then.
try Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap. u can use it for hand washing, hair, dishes, clothes, all kindsa stuff plus its organic and not made with harsh ingredients. i even have the baby version that has no essential oils incase my dog needs a scrub. ;)
@@squintygreeneyes is Dr. Bronners available also in the Philippines? I want to try anything void of chemicals and can be used in washing and cleaning practically anything and everything. Thank you.
People used to use oil for the hair in the ancient times. Not sure how well it works though. The idea is that you wash it with soap, and you oil it from time to time so that it's not dry and brittle.
I have collected tenugui because of its beautiful prints. I use it for my back when I go out on job sites, or to tie around my head when I garden. As a towel, why not? Learned something new today.
Great video! Soda crystals work really well in the wash because they remove odours and stains as well as soften the water. So clothing will last longer and not wear out so much after being in the machine. 💖🥰
Where can the soda crystals be bought and how can I use them for washing clothes? I am from the Philippines and desire to have a minimalist lifestyle. Thank you.
I have many back problems, and I am happily married. A bed is a necessity for me. However, after watching this video, I am inspired to clean clutter more when I see it. I am abstaining from alcohol now, and learning about different things to drink. Your Matcha video is what led me to your other videos. As a farmer, and a former soldier, I have many habits and things I cannot get rid of or cut out from my life. Edit: My Wife and I will never move again. This is our “Forever Home” and our dream come true. We have land and livestock, as well as our gardens. The beautiful thing is that there is always more to learn! Best wishes to you!
Maybe the back problems are CAUSED by the mattress? I've thought about that because twice in my life I've had extremely memorable sleep, and neither was at home. I figure it may be worth a shot if you can send it back...?
This is true minimalism! I'm pretty minimalist in the American sense (no tv, no decorative objects that have no purpose, etc.) and all of my storage fits into my small bedroom closet. Thank you for sharing this. I definitely plan on trying the magnesium and towels for starters.
Aki, thank you for this video! You have inspired me to convert to a minimalist life style. I will be selling or donating most of the items I currently own. I appreciate you for lifting the veil of consumerism from my eyes! あなたの休日を楽しむ
So many same things : no TV- only my lovely Mac , no litter bin , shampoo -only ones a week- another days only water , no ironing - T-shirts, jeans , backpack, sneakers ... But I have books- a lot !...and I want to read all of them !!
Suggestion? Since they attract lots of bugs and dust, maybe use the library to save some "for later" on their website. They also have tons of things besides books. Dvds, cds, and downloadable media like movies. Books, magazines. I have the same issues. So, I designate a spine bookshelf for regular sized books, and just pick the ones I really like and am reading. If you give each one a chapter or two, you'll easily find the ones you like or don't. Then, that frees up time and space for things you really DO like. This is just me, but cockroaches eat the glue, as do silverfish. So, nothing should ever be sitting around unused. I knew someone who had that problem and it was just horrific. I do it, too, but I've done the above and the herd is gradually thinning. Bring the others to a charity thrift store marked FREE after they close, so they don't have so much they can't get through. Someone will grab things first. Jmo.
Those are good ideas! I am going to look into the Japanese towel. I switched to using a small towel instead of a big bath towel about five years ago because it was less bulky and it dries just as well. I got rid of my iron too and got a small steamer in case I need to take some wrinkles out of clothing. No ironing board and no heavy iron and takes up a lot less space! That was very interesting to see that magnesium works! I will look into that. I don't have a television, but I do like to watch You Tube for ideas and neat stories like you have, and healthy vegan cooking ideas. Thanks for great ideas and a great channel. Have a wonderful day! :D
Tenigui is great!! But I found better one recently actually. I’m gonna introduce that to you in my UA-cam channel someday!! Thank you for the great comments. I’ll keep doing my best!!
i'm not a minimalist but i try to simplify and declutter as much as possible. i don't have a tv either or a trashcan bc i think they've become obsolete. i did however buy a little cleaning robot bc it helps keep the floors clean. otherwise i don't like buying new appliances or new tech.
Asians like myself are accustomed to these practices most especially sleeping on the floor and not much (to nothing at all) using shampoo when bathing because these are Western. When I bathe, I wash my hair with soap sometimes I just wash my hair in the sink periodically so to lessen dirt. While sleeping on the floor with mattress or duvet will suffice because not only it is practical but it improves your body's blood circulation.
So, you guys don't have labradors, then? Lol. You can vacuum til the cows come home, but you're going to have hair. Lol. At our house, we have drawers under the bed, which I love.
I am from a very sunny area in Spain. We have no roofs, we have terraces in top of the houses so we can dry the clothes there. Now I live in UK where it rains and I still do not use a dryer.
You can also buy soap nuts in place of laundry detergent. I’ve heard it works really well too. Thanks for all the great tips in the video, i love your channel!!
This one , right? www.amazon.co.jp/NaturOli-Berries-Seedless-Cleaner-Processed/dp/B001DU6SWA I've never heard about it before! Thank you for telling me.
This tree belongs to the biological family of the "soaptrees" and it grows also in Japan. The nuts of the tree have "saponine" which are washing tensides. You love being in nature, maybe you would like to collect your own washing nuts in autumn when they are ready. They are also other plants with washing power. all the best, e.
I was waiting for you to say, I don't live in a house because you can't take it with you. You're seriously one step up from a homeless person. I wish I could live in an RV and be a minimalist that way. 😉
Hello, What is difference is Hana-Fukin dish towel and a biwako-Fukin? If you look on Amazon America has “Japanese Kitchen towels” but all different names
My grandmother always hung her clothes up on a line outside to dry. I loved the smell and the crispiness of the fabric. Unfortunately, I cannot do that because of my severe allergies. I live in the US and in my area pollen covers everything in the spring. You come outside and cars are completely covered in yellow and green pollen dust. I often have to wear a mask in the spring to get to my car. Even if I didn’t have allergies, I wouldn’t want to be wearing clothes and using towels covered in pollen. You are fortunate that you don’t have to experience this where you live.
I love watching your videos. I compared myself with you while watching this video. I do not have TV either. I work in my garden planting fruits and vegetables, feed my geese , chicken and fish therefore I do not need to iron my clothes. I have many "Tenugui" and did not what to do with them, after watching your videos, now I know how to use them. For shampoo and soap, since I have planted many kinds of herbs, my friends asked me to make herbal oil soaps for them. Every time I learn about new herbs, I make soap and use them to make sure they are good for my customers. I also make herbal shampoo because one of my friends had lost a lot of her hair. After using the shampoo I made for her, her hair starts to grow again so shampoo from my point of view is a bit different. Anyway I have learned so much from you. Please keep on doing this great work. ขอบพระคุณค่ะ Big ❤️ from Thailand.
I think you could adjust your cleaning by using multipurpose soaps like Castile soap. Can be used as shampoo, floor cleaner, detergent and body soap. I think for me, it sounds like I’m using floor cleaner on my skin… and my skin and scalp is sensitive so I use different soaps, lotions and others. When I thought about it I realised all cleaners just need an active agent to remove bacteria (and different types of bacteria require different things) and oil, give moisture if it’s your skin and make things smell nice. But, water is not enough in most cases. Water cannot strip build up from your scalp or remove certain bacteria from your underwear. But there are natural, sustainable and multipurpose options for minimalism. Water is not enough if you care about the health or cosmetics of your hair or skin either. It seems like a lot of your choices come from travel, but since your stationery right now does that change anything for you?
Thank you for this video! Though I got rid of the TV many years ago (thank heavens!) I never imagined doing without a bed, a dresser, or a garbage can. You've shown us it can be done in style!
I like your list. I know that I have too much stuff. The one thing that I would always want to keep is my artwork. It brings me joy. My African art collection reminds me of my ancestors and makes me feel connected to them.
Wow awesome ❤️ I never knew this before 😔 all these days am spending soo much money on unused things n kept them not using for more than a year .... I will watch more of your videos n follow 😀 Thank you soo much
I love your content! I wonder if you have a product list? Your floor mat, sleeping bag, towels, bike, and iron kettle are beautiful & sustainable. I would love to use them myself one day.
I'm trying to declutter, but it also means finding my new reason to live. Watching tv etc are thing you do when you are poor or not physically able. I hope I can change my way of life.
What about reading? The library has tons of digital downloads, but you can always order online and get some kid to go get it for you. It's much more intelligent. TV makes us like Jerry Springer.
I don't consider myself a minimalist per se but I do love simplicity and don't like a cluttered space. I try to keep my space very clean. I feel lighter this way. I use detergent but I use vinegar with some essential oils at the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener.
Not using laundry detergent is also easier if you use only natural fabrics, such as cotton and wool. Dirt and oil release naturally from these materials, making soap optional. Especially when using magnesium pellets, there is simply no reason to use detergent. I have only used detergent 1 time in the past 2 years, and that was when I spilled oil in the kitchen and had to use a towel to clean it up. My clothes are always fresh and clean. But I suppose everything depends on a person's individual experience. For some people who do a lot of exercise or have a different body chemistry, magnesium pellets and natural fibers might not be enough to keep things clean. But I suggest everyone at least give it a try.
I wish I didn’t have to use shampoo. I love my long hair, but I have to shampoo it at least once every two days or it gets extremely greasy. I try to use more natural stuff as opposed to nasty chemically soap though so I think it is fine
I have curly hair, and my hair stylist suggested years ago that I use brown sugar instead of shampoo. It took a couple of washes to get used to it but it really works on both my hair-for moisture and my scalp is very clean and non-smelly. You may want to try it.
I really thought that No. 10 was "I don't have a girlfriend". I am a minimalist at the core, but not that extreme. Just got married and my husband would like a TV and more decoration on the walls. We're having a baby due soon and I had to ask my family and friends to not bring any presents or clothes. I've already bought what is necessary for a baby. I think I'd have a panic attack if my place was cluttered. For my husband, we'll just build a house with some rooms his style and some rooms mine. That's the compromise. Otherwise I get really nervous.
I agree with you about ironing. Recently I just made the decision to do away with my dresser. It is a huge piece of furniture that I really don't need. I'll have so much more room without it!! Your dishes get truly clean without soap? And your hair and body get really clean without soap/shampoo?? Thanks for the vid.
Oh man, I wish I could find the Biwako Fukin somewhere but I can’t seem to find it anywhere to purchase over the internet which is very unfortunate. I’ve been looking for an alternative dishcloth to the nasty things that are used here (Germany) for ages and the fact that you don’t need to use any soap with it anymore is just so amazing!
Be careful with that. I know some dummy who didn't see a dentist and refused toothpaste. Lost all his teeth and skin-wise, ended up with MRSA, so...it's a b*tch to get rid of, too. I personally have long hair and if I brush it often, I can do bird baths and just wash the important stuff so you don't dry it all out. I can go maybe 3 days that way. If I'm sweating or swimming, tho, all bets are off. Chlorine, even at a clean pool where you aren't knocked off your feet by that smell, still messes up your skin.
I don’t own a TV, it went to a church and already more than 6 years and the best thing. I have to look into magnesium and look into that cloth for dishes. I don’t want to buy dishwashing soap. Can you share where to buy that cloth fir the dishes and where you buy the magnesium?
I live with carpet on floor. Do you think tatami mat would lay on carpet? I need an extra layer of warmth for the coming winter. I do sleep on the floor using a topper from my old bed. It works great. But the ground beneath the carpet is cement and I’m trying to figure out what to use. The temperatures get below zero here. Thank you. ❤
I love a good mattress but I see no need for a bed frame since I like my bed low to the floor anyway :) saves buying one, and it’s easy to put the mattress against the wall if I want some space! 😃
1 . I own a Trash Can. It is practical, hygienic and tidy, unlike having your thrash hanging on a wall. 2. Bath towel. You just have a thinner bath towel. Not zero bath towel. So this one doesn’t count 3. Laundry detergent. You are using a substitute instead (magnesium, a component of washing powder 🙄) , plus you have to purchase special bags to put this substitutes in. Doesn’t count. 4. A T.V. Instead you have a laptop with a massive separate monitor to edit your you-tube video’s. Plus smart phone, smart tablet, smart this, smart that. Who are you trying to fool? 😵💫👎🏼 5. A bed. Young people and students move around often and may have just a mattress on the floor. It’s not ideal in damp or cold climates, so people have beds. It’s also higher so easier to get your socks on in the morning. But maybe you don’t own socks? (socks clutter…😅)
6. A sleeping bag instead of a blanket. Big deal … not. Again, you confuse minimalism with student-style living. Also suitable for campers . 7. No sponge but something that does the same job. How is that counting. Verdict. This smiling tea-stirring samurai is an hypocrite. UA-cam is full of them. When are you gonna ask for donations ??
Dig your videos and perspective. Learned a lot from this one again. I've been using 2 Thermarest Prolite Mattresses to sleep on, would never go back to a soft mattress. They also work well as a meditation cushion when folded up. :)
Where can I find and buy a tenegui and biwako fukin here in the Philippines? And what can you suggest as alternative for shampoo to wash my long hair. I want to avoid using chemicals at all costs. Thank you.
This is a very minimalist lifestyle. It doesn’t suit the family of 4-5 who go to school and work and have to wear uniforms (Australia). A camping table or a sleeping bag suit you, but I appreciate my well crafted table made from sustainable forest certified wood and my feather doona which has lasted 20+ years.
i work outdoors, in a very physical job. my clothes become very dirty. i use a very earth friendly laundry soap. i do not think magnesium would be enough. i like the dish washing fabric. how to obtain?
Wow, thank you for your video! I can say it`s another level of minimalism :D It`s eye opening And can you, please, answer for my question? Is your bamboo bike really durable? I`m from Russia and I afraid it can`t lives in this diverse climate more than 1-2 years.
Congratulations about your videos!!! They are very interesting with very useful tips!!! I have always been attracted to minimalism. I have read and seen a lot and - if done with balance - I find it very useful in a world increasingly focused on owning many unnecessary possessions. Our home represents our mind, and a clean, minimal and tidy home is a metaphor for a clean and tidy mind :) My problem is that since I've been married I find it very hard to have such a lifestyle, because my wife tends to buy so many things, even more than necessary, and I have to figure out how to do this! Thanks again for your videos 😀
If you don't need to clean your trashcan anymore, because you aren't using one, then wouldn't you be cleaning your floor and wall more? Seems like an odd choice
@@SamuraiMatcha If you wanted something that wears well for a long time, you can go shearling/leather or Carhardt. It's a heavy canvas for working people, but it lasts forever. So do leather shoes and Van's. I think we have to make an effort to avoid cheap junk. One well made tee that costs 50.00 is better than 5 cheap ones that start to look worn out right away. Pact makes nice ones that aren't expensive. They do things so they don't waste so much water

You use that!? That's amazing!
Great video! Soda crystals work really well in the wash because they remove odours and stains as well as soften the water. So clothing will last longer and not wear out so much after being in the machine. 💖🥰
I didn't know that! I'll try that:-D
Where can the soda crystals be bought and how can I use them for washing clothes? I am from the Philippines and desire to have a minimalist lifestyle. Thank you.
without a TV, you wont see anything negative happens and only just focus in your self too.
Yes!
Your videos bring me lots of happiness. Keep doing this! You are awesome!
Thank you for watching my video!!! magnesium is great!
decorative can have a purpose if they are pleasing to look at, or hold a memory….
Aki, thank you for this video! You have inspired me to convert to a minimalist life style. I will be selling or donating most of the items I currently own. I appreciate you for lifting the veil of consumerism from my eyes! あなたの休日を楽しむ
Thanks Johnny! you too enjoy your holiday!
Put stuff at the thrift store w a Free sign, many are already full. Lol
So many same things : no TV- only my lovely Mac , no litter bin , shampoo -only ones a week- another days only water , no ironing - T-shirts, jeans , backpack, sneakers ... But I have books- a lot !...and I want to read all of them !!
I have some booth as well😃 it’s good to have something what you really love☺️
Jmo.
I have not owned or used an iron for 20 years. Most materials today do not need ironing if hung properly to dry.
Yes! That's true!
I’ll keep doing my best!!
i mean removing a blanket is basicly removing enjoyment laying in bed. And i love it. But some of them are actually interesting.
Thanks;-D
Very inspiring. You must feel so light and free!
Yes!! I am;-)
i'm not a minimalist but i try to simplify and declutter as much as possible. i don't have a tv either or a trashcan bc i think they've become obsolete. i did however buy a little cleaning robot bc it helps keep the floors clean. otherwise i don't like buying new appliances or new tech.
Hello from Scotland, thank you for the trash 🗑️ bin idea, I will literally adopt this idea today, thank you 🙏😎
Distilled white vinegar is a great water softener for the laundry for cleaner clothes.
Thank you for telling me!! Yeah, we are used to sleeping on the floor.
So, you guys don't have labradors, then? Lol. You can vacuum til the cows come home, but you're going to have hair. Lol.
At our house, we have drawers under the bed, which I love.
@@SamuraiMatchaAki, do elderly Japanese people also still sleep on the floor?
I am from a very sunny area in Spain. We have no roofs, we have terraces in top of the houses so we can dry the clothes there. Now I live in UK where it rains and I still do not use a dryer.
Thank you for this list - very inspiring.
You can also buy soap nuts in place of laundry detergent. I’ve heard it works really well too. Thanks for all the great tips in the video, i love your channel!!
This one , right? www.amazon.co.jp/NaturOli-Berries-Seedless-Cleaner-Processed/dp/B001DU6SWA
I've never heard about it before!

What are soap nuts and can those be found here in the Philippines? Thank you.
I was waiting for you to say, I don't live in a house because you can't take it with you. You're seriously one step up from a homeless person. I wish I could live in an RV and be a minimalist that way. 😉
Hello,
What is difference is Hana-Fukin dish towel and a biwako-Fukin? If you look on Amazon America has “Japanese Kitchen towels” but all different names
😀watching this video makes me want to clean my house 😃 you’re so tidy and clean. Have a good day 😃
My grandmother always hung her clothes up on a line outside to dry.
After 20 hours of watching tv my life satisfaction has reduced by 100%
haha! You definitely don't need TV.
Thanks again;-D
Thank you for this video! Though I got rid of the TV many years ago (thank heavens!) I never imagined doing without a bed, a dresser, or a garbage can. You've shown us it can be done in style!
Water and mag are not enough to remove dirt from clothes, since we produce oils which are fat-based.
Asians apparently don't have body odor.
I will watch more of your videos n follow 😀 Thank you soo much
I find a hammock to be great for sleeping. It's much more portable and easier to clean. You'll need to have two mounts on the wall though
Thank you.Keep going.
Greetings from Serbia.
I love your way and what works for you. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! I'm so glad to hear that!
I love your content! I wonder if you have a product list? Your floor mat, sleeping bag, towels, bike, and iron kettle are beautiful & sustainable. I would love to use them myself one day.
He has a bunch of stuff listed in his other video about his 12 essential items
The shipping on the bike would probably cost more than the item. Nice idea, tho.
I'm trying to declutter, but it also means finding my new reason to live.
Watching tv etc are thing you do when you are poor or not physically able.
I hope I can change my way of life.
😊😊👍👍
What about reading? The library has tons of digital downloads, but you can always order online and get some kid to go get it for you. It's much more intelligent. TV makes us like Jerry Springer.
how do you clean your sleeping bag? I usually wash my blankets once a week.
When I wash it I wash it by my hand👍
This man is the richest guy in the world. Once you learn you don't need a lot of stuff is when you are really free.
Thank you! Real Riches;-D
@@SamuraiMatcha Lol, exactly. Hugs from Mexico.
Thank you for this video. I have searched for cotton towels and now will also find the replace sponge.
Wow I wasn't expecting many of the items you listed. It's amazing how much we can do without.
I use the trash bucket only (no bag), walk the bucket to the public tun and if it is dirty I wash it with water.
I learn a lot from you; thank you for great ideas!
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that!
I don't consider myself a minimalist per se but I do love simplicity and don't like a cluttered space. I try to keep my space very clean. I feel lighter this way. I use detergent but I use vinegar with some essential oils at the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener.
what about the oil from the scalp? i feel like shampoo cleanse it more thoroughly.,,,,
thank you! love your content
I love your videos. Subscribed and binge watching all your videos now
Thank you;-D
That’s great!!
Only water can remove dirt, but of course it’s better when I use department👍But water is enough for me because I’m really healthy😉
They're Asian, they don't have body odor...
How do you clean your sleeping bag and sleeping mattress??
I love you lifestyle good job and I am from Hong Kong
Wow, soooooo deeply inspiring . Thank you so much for sharing. 🙏🙂
Thank you soooo mutch!
I can't do the "no shampoo" bc my hair doesn't feel clean without some kind of soap.
I know how you feel. I used to have long hair, and I had difficulty in washing with no shampoo…
This guy is well mannered, organized, intelligent, and good-looking…why the hell is he not married yet?!
You make wonderful Videos! Thank you!😊 greetings from Vienna
I'm so glad to hear that from Vienna!!
hi! thanks for sharing, you are a real minimalist!
Wow!!!😍👏🙌This is really minimalism!!! I love your channel!!👍👍👍
Thanks!! happy to hear that;-D
1 . I own a Trash Can. It is practical, hygienic and tidy, unlike having your thrash hanging on a wall.
2. Bath towel. You just have a thinner bath towel. Not zero bath towel. So this one doesn’t count
I am learning a lot from u! Thank u! 🎉
Dig your videos and perspective. Learned a lot from this one again. I've been using 2 Thermarest Prolite Mattresses to sleep on, would never go back to a soft mattress. They also work well as a meditation cushion when folded up. :)
Hello, I am wondering do u use Magnesoum Sulfat for washing? Thank you.
Tnx🙂
I will visit Japan . I love the Japanese culture.
Where can I find and buy a tenegui and biwako fukin here in the Philippines? And what can you suggest as alternative for shampoo to wash my long hair. I want to avoid using chemicals at all costs. Thank you.
This is a very minimalist lifestyle. It doesn’t suit the
family of 4-5 who go to school and work and have to wear uniforms (Australia). A camping table or a sleeping bag suit you, but I appreciate my well crafted table made from sustainable forest certified wood and my feather doona which has lasted 20+ years.
Making tea is an adventure for me. I have eliminated things from my life also, like coffee and hot dogs. Tea is good
I know how you feel. When I first drank coffee, It was an adventure for me too.
Hot dogs? I love hot dog 🌭
i work outdoors, in a very physical job. my clothes become very dirty. i use a very earth friendly laundry soap.
i do not think magnesium would be enough.
i like the dish washing fabric.
how to obtain?
I can't find magnesium ball like I have out of Japan. I'll keep searching;-D
Wow, thank you for your video! I can say it`s another level of minimalism :D
It`s eye opening
And can you, please, answer for my question? Is your bamboo bike really durable? I`m from Russia and I afraid it can`t lives in this diverse climate more than 1-2 years.
Congratulations about your videos!!! They are very interesting with very useful tips!!! I have always been attracted to minimalism. I have read and seen a lot and - if done with balance - I find it very useful in a world increasingly focused on owning many unnecessary possessions.
Our home represents our mind, and a clean, minimal and tidy home is a metaphor for a clean and tidy mind :)
My problem is that since I've been married I find it very hard to have such a lifestyle, because my wife tends to buy so many things, even more than necessary, and I have to figure out how to do this!
Thanks again for your videos
😀
Aki…I’m impressed with your choices…I will follow your lead💋
Thanks!!
Great tips inspiring
Thanks Beth!
If you don't need to clean your trashcan anymore, because you aren't using one, then wouldn't you be cleaning your floor and wall more? Seems like an odd choice
I will live in Japan soon. But, you know, the winter is coming. Please recommend me about the clothes. Thanks so muchhhhhhh
Sure!! You can buy uniqlo ultra light down jacket, which I use.
So where does a person in the U S acquire magnesium powder?
the lesson here to get bamboo bike. got that.
Haha! I said that too many...
@@SamuraiMatcha no worry. it lively up video even more.
Question: Do you ever wash your sleeping bag? because I thought the point of sheets is that they keep your bed clean
I did sometimes!
