Thank you for showing the difference in flow rates!
I bought the goodgad electric kettle ( the first and only one I’ve ever used .) it’s normally 100 but there was a 30% code. It actually keeps the correct temp and pours well . I’m still learning my proper technique. Thanks hoon.
Fun fact, for those that find the STAGG pours just a bit too slow, If you look inside there is a little metal piece with holes covering the hole at the bottom of the spout, which further restricts flow. With a mallet and a flat sharp chisel or screwdriver it can be removed easily. It now pours SMOOTHER and just a bit Faster.
My Brewista Artisan is failing after not even 4 years. The base is malfunctioning for no reason (no hit, no water damage, no power surges). Thought the EKG would be a good replacement but that water flow would bother me I think.
I've used a Bonavita kettle for 5 years now. My only complaint is having to reset the hold temp each time I take the kettle off the base. Otherwise it does a nice pourover. It is like the Brewista.
I like the look of the stag but i like to pour faster and i think that was a bit of plastic inside the stag kettle there that you showed....i really think no plastic should be touvhing the water. The fake wood on the barista is so.....ugh....but i think it is the better kettle for me. Have you tried the poliviar? I think it looks as good as the stag but alot of complaints about the buttons and i havent found a vid to see if i can choose to pour faster.
Hello
Do you recommend the MHW assassin kettle?
You know, this is the first video in which anyone has actually shown the rate like that. Thanks.
I second this. I really appreciate that. This was the main thing I wanted to see to compare the kettles. Absolutely gigantic value add there!
I am considering the stagg but I’ve read it has a problem of water spraying out of the top when the water is heated, is this an issue?
Yup, this thing annoyed me when using stagg
I’ve had mine for awhile now and I’ve never had that issue. I don’t understand how that would be an issue as long as you don’t fill it up too high.
you get what you pay for
The flow of the Stagg kinda sucks to be honest, you get used to it but coming from the Bonavita it’s a huge hindrance.
How so? Too fast, too slow, another variable I am not thinking of?
@@hastur1375 it’s slow, if for whatever reason you need to pour fast at a certain point it can’t pour faster. I’ve been tempted to remove the flow restrictor. Lots of various brew methods I use require a quick pour. As an example one method I use I have to pour 100g of water in 10 seconds, it’s really tricky. I can do it but with my old Bonavita it’s way easier to achieve. I get what the restrictor is for but honestly you can get just as slow and controlled of a pour with the Bonavita or Brewista with practice and still have that option of pouring really fast. The only thing the Stagg has going for it is looks. Also the EKG’s lid wood handle is prone to crack even if you stay on top of keeping it oiled once a month.
@@greysuit17 first off no it does not suck and second it’s slow on purpose. It’s designed to pour slowly which is what you want for specific pour overs. My brother has a bonivita and I can’t use it coming from a stagg. The pour is way to aggressive.
@@JT-zy2ft you just got to practice more and I’m aware it’s designed that way. I don’t prefer it.
@@greysuit17 I use to have one then got a stagg and won’t be going back. It’s just a preferable pour for me. It also looks better.
Stagg is the best kettle you can get. Yes it pours slow but that’s by design.
I prefer the hario. Most fellow coffee products are over priced beautiful junk
the fellow price doesn't match the quality. I had to replace the Stagg three times within a year because the base was defective. There are many others reporting problems.
@@trypeak might just have some bad luck. I’ve had my stagg for almost 4 years with practically daily use and it’s still fine.
@@willruss haven’t had any issues with any fellow items I’ve purchased. And a kettle is really down to preference. I’ve used the hario and I feel it pours too fast coming from the fellow which pours a lot slower.
@@JT-zy2ft three times unlucky looks more like a quality problem to me. It's great if you don't have any problems because the flow is very good.
