Thanks for that concise info, just wondering if there is any thing inside plastic or like the fellow the silicon gasket around the sensor? Looking for nothing toxic in my water. I do really like the slow and fast option in pouring too, but the fake wood....ugh....i would rather get all black. Almost was gonna try the fellow but i like to pour faster most times and it has that silicon thing....but the real wood handle looks so much nicer. Maybe brewista will put cord storage and up the design a bit next version.
In between pours, does this kettle automatically begin reheating the water when it is placed back on the base ? Or do you need to press an extra (start) button ?
The Bonavita seems to be a much better value for a third the price ($50). I don't think some plastic wood and a timer are worth $100. If you can deal with plain stainless, the Brewista can be had on Amazon for $120. Still too expensive for me.

Looks like a 12 or 16 gauge cord. Yes cable management would be very nice. Brewista needs to get on the ball.

Unfortunately yes. You have to.
Once you remove it from the base, the process is stopped and you gonna have to press that button again.

The outside of the kettle gets almost as hot as the water from my experience, so be careful :)

This are is kettle that turns itself on at a specific time ? For example 10 minutes before getting out of bed ?
