This video several things you should never do! If you read the factory Audi instructions you MUST: 1. Never spread the top of the knuckle 2. Always replace the control arm to strut bolts and nuts (otherwise they might break as of course they are stretch bolts). 3. Always correctly torque tighten all bolts 4. Replace the pinch bolt and nut and not least 5. Never use an impact gun to install tires. I'd urge the company to remove that video ASAP as it teaches so many wrong and dangerous things that could be life threatening.
Ride "feel" can be affected by caster. Increasing caster by a reasonable amount can improve straight line stability and self-centering. If camber and/or caster differs side to side with the non-adjustable OE arms, there may be a pull or drift to one side which can be corrected with SPC adjustable arms. Camber will change with lowering a vehicle. Have adjustable arms will allow camber changes which can either correct tire wear issues or give handling improvements. Basically, adjustable arms give flexibility to the front suspension which the OE non-adjustable arms can't give.
How do you know if you've adjusted both arms evenly/equally (measure with calipers?), and will it affect the caster or toe if they're not adjusted close enough to one another?
I am currently looking to reduce front and rear camber on my 2001 audi tt quattro coupe 8n? What products fit my car to achieve proper alignment and price of parts? thanks
Would I need to get an alignment after replacing upper control arms on an Audi A4 b8; replacing reason being bushing wear & not hitting a curb or a potholes.
Yes a 4-wheel alignment would be recommended when replacing upper control arms. If you are installing our SPC arms make sure your repair facility is aware of how they adjust.
@@specialtyproductscompanysp8027 Thank you for your reply Tom. I've heard the front and back of this car has +-3 degrees of camber to play with. With this part I should be able to squeeze another 1.5+- degrees of camber = +-4.5 total correct?
@@spydr202 John, The front of these vehicle do not have any OE camber (or caster) adjustment. OE specs are generally a little negative so when you subtract 1.5 degrees which the 81360 can offer, you'll be at -2.5 degrees or less. I do not have access to the rear camber OE range. Tom
Great video! Those Such racing-looking suspension on that Audi.

What is the advantage on ride feel of having these adjustable control arms vs OE control arms on a dropped suspension. Thanks

Can you guys provide the size of the bolts involved here to know if I have all the tools available before the installation... Thank you

Can this get you more negative camber than the OEM part?
John, The 81360 will adjust -1.5 degrees as well as +1.5 degrees, so , yes, it will be able to give more negative camber. Thanks, Tom
