Near the end of Dear Nova, Nova said something that made me realize WHY she and Tom are so good together.

She streamed on Nov1st on YT and Twitch and was really emotional about releasing this song. Said she had it in her head for about 15 years and wanted the right time to put it out, even going as far as to ask her label to release her so she could put it out on her own. This song hits home for many young girls and women. My sister and a couple nieces that i can think of. cool reaction

If you have family to fall back on, you are miles ahead of people who have no family and living on the street at a young age.
Cuts on the arm sounded more like cutting, not suicidal attempts….. some kids get into that to escape pain. I think the line we miss who we lost in the park talks about innocence lost.

She spent much of her youth in foster homes so this is very personal to her as she lived it and far from rich. This song was completed a year ago but she finally released it being totally free from any contracts but still very scared as this runs deep. I tried commit😢suicide when i was 9 years old because of how horrible my home life was dad always drunk ,getting agry for the smallest thing taking his anger out on me if my mom or brother or anybody else that pissed him off , came in one time when i was 5 kicked my McDonald's over and forced me to eat it off the floor even pushing my face into it

There are levels of poor..
There is a roof over your head, belly full, family around, but Christmas is socks, or maybe a board game if you are lucky.
Then there is the poor she talks about in this...
Living on the street, own nothing but what you are carrying, no family, no roof most of the time. Christmas is stealing shoes that will hopefully last you a while.
Dear Nova is sort of her next stage in life after this song; more a rapp song than this but maybe darker .
this song hit way to hard for me a strong reminder why i finally left my hometown watched to many good people die at least a suicide a year an overdose a month just a small town of 10k people you knew almost everyone and you noticed when people stopped coming around. Its hard to stay straight surrounded by darkness and evil. How I managed to stay off alcohol and drugs is beyond me but it was touch and go by the end and i dont ever want to live in that town again.
