- I fully intended this, the third video of my rediscovering Wales series to go very much the same way as the first two: a gentle stroll down memory lane. Relating how through childhood day trips and at least one holiday Llandudno became my ‘happy place’. And how it remained a happy place in my twenties, when I had many day trips there with various girlfriends. How In my thirties I became a less frequent visitor, though Llandudno did earn the ultimate accolade of hosting the final few days of my honeymoon, and then lamenting the fact that I lost my connection with the dear old place thereafter, not visiting a single time in my forties, the pull of the Maltese islands as a regular destination being too strong. Then, as per the zeitgeist of the series, hoping to rediscover my love for the place and remember why it used to be so special.
Well, it kind of worked out. And kind of didn’t. Bizarrely, I took the trip with someone I’d never met before. Who two months ago didn’t know I existed, but who got dragged in to my beautifully mad UA-cam community via my livestreams. And all plans for the format of the video flew out of the window as we were too busy just having a fabulous day. And in retrospect I think that’s fitting. Because that’s what Llandudno is, and always has been. The place where you forget everything and just have a fabulous time. So that’s what the video turned out to be. Two people enjoying a fabulous day in a fabulous place. I hope you can enjoy sharing the memory of our day.
Obviously my huge thanks go to @Emmajozxyqk of the @EmmaLemonn UA-cam channel for being downright crazy enough to travel halfway across the country to spend a few days with a strange bloke she’d only seen via her TV screen, and to each and every one of the Boaty’s World community for making it such a fabulous place a person would feel welcome and want to hang around and share the fun, support and endless laughs.

Neither will I. Not just because it was so perfect, but also because it’s a reminder of what’s out there. It’s all too easy to settle into a rut, but remembering a day like this is the motivation to do more stuff, even if it means making little daily sacrifices to make it possible…thank you for jerking me out of my rut!

Lost count the times I visited Llandudno as a child, there use to be vintage car rides on the pier, but I'm going back to the 1970's, thanks for sharing and bringing back some great memories back Boaty.

A thoroughly enjoyable watch. I have never been to Llandudno but it looks wonderful. Im a sucker for a good cable car too.
I feel like people enter your life at a certain point for a reason and i feel like for both of you this is the case. It certainly appears to be for good reasons
So glad you enjoyed it! I did have a search for other cable cars to possibly continue the theme, but it seems there are very few systems remaining. There were loads when I was a kid!

Hello Jason , I've done the marine drive myself a few times and always very enjoyable as is the rest of Llandudno .I also recommend the drive from Barmouth/ Fairbourne to Aberdovey coast road too .
