It probably wasn’t the best financial decision, but I bought a system 4000 pad washer a few years ago before I did a single polish job, so I’ve never polished without it. This seems great for people to use to work up to a pad washer when they can

@@ethanblan435 ethan! yeah man i did the opposite, after the first polish i was hooked but i dragged my feet on buying the lc pad washer, and even when i bought it i still used the 2 bucket method 1 more time. i finally used it and the clouds parted the heavenly light shined down and i had the “ahhhhhhhh” moment. 3 cars later i somehow broke the white pick up tube on the pad washer and had to buy a replacement 😜🐿️💨

I do a one bucket method. Generously spray the pad with rinseless. Run at a low setting and clean with a conditioning brush. Run it on high to kick off excess rinseless. Keep going. Sometimes I'll kick off the excess in a bucket, other times I choose violence, lol! I used one pad to buff out a trashed Civic. I went at the paint pretty hard. Pad still looks new. If I get the Lake Country cleaning system, it will be just to better contain the fling.

ha! “choose violence” 😆…and right on my friend, i tried using the pad brush but i felt like i was degrading the pads with it. and you can see all that old ”fling” on the vinyl siding where i had my work station set up 😜…i made a lot of messes when i first started. and yeah the pad washer is great, you can do a whole car with one pad, but i like to change the pad every 2 panels so i’m not working any one pad to death 🤘🏽🐿️💨

This was some very useful information. I've been detailing my cars for 45+ years and this is some of the most useful information I have seen in quite a while. I just finished a 3 stage polish on my Nissan 370Z and it literally took me about a week to do, although I was taking my time and not polishing all day in one stretch. I have used the Optimum Spray Polishes/Compounds in the past but I wasn't satisfied because of all the sling. I was a novice at the time in the area of machine polishing so that probably had something to do with it. They worked fine, I just probably used way too much and I didn't wash out the pads at all either. I like the idea of the spray polish after watching your video. Washing out the pads in between and then using the polishers itself to spin out the remainder of the water to leave a perfectly moist pad is brilliant! And those pads washers (glorified wash buckets with a fancy top are far overpriced in my opinion. But just this simple $10 for two buckets is a great idea for washing out pads. I am definitely going to try this method the next time I polish a car. Thanks for posting this useful informational video.

@@joevanseeters2873 oh man you don’t know how much i appreciate that.
i’m glad to give you the idea, that 2 bucket method still helps me out, and other than your hands getting wet every once in awhile it still makes polishing a lot quicker and way less dusty! 👍🏽🐿️💨
