    In the video today, we're looking at why different blood types in some cases can't be mixed. To begin with, there are several different types of blood. Contained within them are different types of cells and countless molecules that give our bodies the needed nutrients to work effectively. The two main types of cells within the blood are red and white blood cells. Red blood cells make up nearly 45% of your blood volume. White blood cells make up less than 1%. What is left over is known as blood plasma, which makes up approximately 55% of your blood volume.
    As to blood types, what type you are will usually depend on the types of blood your parents have, though there can be exceptions like if you receive a bone marrow transplant from someone with a different blood type, your blood type will eventually change, among some caveats like that. As to why there are different blood types...

      @@ekramer2478 Oxyclean is essentially just solid Hydrogen Peroxide, for all intents and purposes. It's Sodium Carbonate attached to Hydrogen Peroxide, and the molecule splits back into Sodium Carbonate and Hydrogen Peroxide when dissolved in water.
      It's a good way to get relatively high concentration peroxide if having a mild base and/or Sodium Chloride doesn't bother your reaction.
      The peroxide oxidizes things, which bleaches stuff. Bleach (Sodium hypochlorite) does the same.

    • @caitchri2426
      @caitchri2426 3 роки тому +1

      @@KerrMalygos I wasn’t trying to demean the intelligence of anyone. I was thinking back to when I was an exchange student and had to ask my Japanese teacher why certain things were said out of contex... or the double meaning of some words... or the cultural back story / pop culture references I didn’t get immediately.
      “Sleeping with the fishes” isn’t hard to understand, but it made me think of other quirky slang and references that fascinates me. Some things are easy to understand at surface level, but are more involved in the culture or history of the language than you first learn.
      ( like someone not raised in America, or not raised watching certain movies may not know that the phrase is usually used as a joke to specifically reference Italian mobsters from the 20’s-60’s in New York City- just as an example. Not assuming anyone didn’t already know that, but it’s just an example of how some phrases can have a double meaning, or be referencing something else as a joke... etc etc)

    • @caitchri2426
      @caitchri2426 3 роки тому

      To add to on, etc is another great example that just makes me giggle in excitement!
      Etc is an abreciation of an abriviation! Most people know it means (and so on...) but it’s actually short for et cetera. This is a LATIN phrase meaning et-(and) cetera-(the rest)
      So how cool is it that even most English speakers, the people who use it most- dont know it’s short for a different language’s slang!! And that English has so many other ways of saying this! (Yadda yadda, bla bla bla, and whatnot...)
      It’s just fun learning things about a language that isn’t taught in textbooks or in 101 classes. They’re things you usually learn if you’re immersed and asking questions. Just so amazing and fun to me.
      Again, I was never trying to insult anyone’s intelligence- and I never meant it as a underhanded comment to people who are learning English: insinuating they weren’t smart enough to figure it out- or that it was a phrase only found in the English language.

    Safety tip for those cleaning blood: make sure the laundry detergent you use does not contain bleach. Mixing bleach and ammonia produces chlorine gas--very deadly, Jimmy! I did this once by accident--adding bleach to clothes in the washer that I had spilled ammonia on--and I was lucky to recognize immediately what I did and vamoose outta there.

    Type O-, RH-, D-, C-, E-..... there are 350 (roughly) antigens that can be on a blood cell, but only 160 are considered prevelant enough to test for once you get past D-. Yes, once in an emergency I almost died waiting 4 days for the hospital to track down blood for surgery. I have always donated my blood to be banked for emergencies or planned surgeries when I might need blood, but had a planned surgery and then ended up back in hospital with a GI bleed.

      I have a surgery where I lost so much blood that I depleted the hospital's reserve of my blood type, and so they did a direct donation from my dad to me bypassing the usual screening since I was absolutely going to die by waiting. Blood's serious. Unfortunately my veins are too fragile to donate (I've tried, they won't even try since my veins are baby-sized), but get others to very often.

      Doctor Ness Prophet well, I just did some research and apparently it isn’t true for the anthrax, as long as you received all 4 shots, which I did but I still can’t give blood because I lived in Europe between 1980 - 1990. (I lived in Germany from 1986-1989 and 2004-2010) the thing with the anthrax was if at any time you didn’t get your scheduled shot and missed one, you had to start the series all over again. Thankfully, that didn’t happen to me.

      Aides police and law.
      Forensics have been able to prove blood presence on surfaces and clothes even if they’ve been washed clean for decades, it’s easier to prove someone did a murder and covered it up rather than it being an accident, or transfer from providing assistance.
      Same principle applies to burning evidence. Burning the evidence doesn’t destroy it, it just turns it into other evidence.
      Police want folks to be stupid enough to try and cover up the crime. Coverups are easy to argue and prove, mistakes and lapses of judgement are much harder.

      @@DoctorProph3t Turn it into vapor with no ash, good luck recovering it in a windy area. Bleach also makes DNA unreadable. Simple tricks to thwart sophisticated science. Only reason that 65% of murders are still solved is because they are done by idiots, most with 0 planning and with targets socially connected to them (best to kill someone you don't know at all that lives far from you, random murders with no apparent motive are seldom ever solved).

      If anything those murderers should be getting medals, they are helping with the overpopulation problem (what covid-19 would be doing if it wasn't allowed to wreck the global economy instead).

      Like molecular acid? Yeah, no matter the material there’s always a trace residue, lawyer argues the body and weapon aren’t found because you destroyed the evidence with acids, here’s forensic reports on his bathtub testing positive for congruent trace elements, and carbon 14 atoms, proving that what was dissolved was an organic biological mass.
      Can’t mistake a tub of acid melting meat.
      Ya think you’re smart, but you just played right into their hand lol.

      @@DoctorProph3t Was thinking more of turning corpses into calcium oxide clinkers (basically look like any other rock used to make sandpaper) with a home brew plasma furnace. That's my method of disposal anyway, why all of my murders have remained missing persons/presumed dead after a couple decades rather than active murder investigations (also helps a ton when you stick to killing people you don't know and with no motive other than the fun and thrill of it).
      In short, when forensics figure out how to detect something and there's a legal precedent for counting it as evidence, change methods. Kinda like the experimental psychoactive drug scene, if the gov't bans something then simply switch it up and make an analog of it that isn't banned yet (plenty of chemicals sold from China marked "not for human consumption" are bought just for that purpose). By the time it is in 1-2 years you've already made a few million from selling it. Given at least about 10,000 possible combinations for similar effects that's plenty of employment security.

    Love the channel. Couple thoughts on improving:
    1. Wish all the outtake clips would just be spliced into the end of the video. It's distracting from the "Finding Out" part
    2. Ditto for the sponsor blurb, it was already mentioned at the beginning of the video. I encourage having it at the end (perhaps before the outtakes section)
