      I used to think metal couldn't me harmonic. ESP thrash metal! I first got into the genre bc of them. Then Rob Zombie showed me metal could be rhythmic/groovy, where you can actually dance to it! We're taught that metal is just fast heavy riffs, drums, and vocal fry.     This song gives you much needed breaks in between the intensity of the heavy guitar riffs and pulsating drums. Then at one point when you feel almost relieved because you think the song is over, it explodes back to life and shoves the controlled chaos right down your throat again against your will and you can't help but love every second of it.
    People are calling this song a "Masterpiece" and I have to agree.

      there's so many more bands with more talent that write WAY more complex music. Tool, Dream Theater, Metallica, Megadeth, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, just to name a few. Not saying SOAD isn't a good band but they're definitely not one of the most talented bands ever lol.

    I remember listening to this with my dad as early as 4 years old, back in 2007. its crazy how now at 17, I have a complete different perception of the song as I now understand it, yet it still gets better with every time I listen to it. there will never be another band like System of a down
