Anyone know what Kombucha means? I looked it up and found it was tea which had been sweetend, it also has a sour taste. The sour taste could be fitting in with the "mushroom people". The sweetness obviously fitting with "SUGAAAR" Look at that, just answered my question :)

This song should be appreciated more. This is my favorite system of a down song for one reason... actually two... because it's fast paced and... system of a down is just a good band.
This is by far the most superior piece of work to come out of the Nu Metal Genre of that era... which SOAD did not stay tied to for long because they are too talented and diverse to fit into a single genre. Only other band to come out of that era to stand the test of time IMO is Disturbed.
this is still pretty br00tal in my books and this is coming from someone who listens to screamo, black and post-metal, SOAD's self titled is untouchable.
GrindCore bands wouldn't know Brutal if it kicked them in there scene little vaginas. DevilDriver, Amon Amarth, Lamb of God... That's were it is at. System of a Down is far better than any GrindCore band can ever be. GrindCore is the dis-owned child of HardCore, while MetalCore is HardCores prized child.

I'll never forget seeing this band at Ozzfest right before their hiatus. The crowd chanted for Sugar and we got it. Serj ended up singing "No lights. No music. Just ice cream." and had people going nuts.

Please take note that this is a very progressive band that has tackled subjects such as: police brutality, the United States prison system, profit driven wars, the war on drugs and much more progressive topics that I’m sure you’d love to hear! Serj Tankien (the lead singer) has bashed Donald Trump throughout his entire presidency. Don’t get it twisted ma’am. Feel the art, don’t appropriate it.

I love how you all missed the point of the video lol.
Because there's only the first part in the description, here the full lyrics:
The Kombucha mushroom people
Sitting around all day
Who can believe you
Who can believe you
Let your mother pray (sugar)
I'm not there all the time you know
Some people, some people, some people
Call it insane, yeah they call it insane (sugar)
I play Russian roulette everyday, a man's sport
With a bullet called life, yeah, mama, called life(sugar)
You know that every time I try to go
Where I really want to be
It's already where I am
'Cause I'm already there
The Kombucha mushroom people
Sitting around all day
Who can believe you
Who can believe you
Let your mother pray (sugar)
I got a gun the other day from Sako
It's cute, small, fits right in my pocket
Yeah, right in my pocket, (sugar)
My girl, you know, she lashes out at me sometimes
And I just fucking kick her, and then, ooh baby, she's ok (sugar)
People are always chasing me down
Trying to push my face to the ground
Where all they really want to do
Is suck out my mother fucking brains, my brains (sugar)
The Kombucha mushroom people
Sitting around all day
Who can believe you
Who can believe you
Let your mother pray
I sit, in my desolate room, no lights, no music
Just anger
I've killed everyone
I'm away forever, but I'm feeling better
How do I feel
What do I say
Fuck you, it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
Fuck you, it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
How do I feel
What do I say
In the end it all goes away
In the end it all goes away
In the end it all goes away
In the end it all goes away
In the end it all goes away

It’s actually not “just havoc” it’s “just anger” but thank you
@@alexisdead9532 Hey thanks! I have corrected it.
@FantasyGirl No problem
Even with the lyrics I can't keelp up with the fast parts lol
Anyone know what Kombucha means? I looked it up and found it was tea which had been sweetend, it also has a sour taste.
The sour taste could be fitting in with the "mushroom people".
The sweetness obviously fitting with "SUGAAAR"
Look at that, just answered my question :)
True art from the intro to the ending. Forgot how awesome this music video was.
I'm a 52 year old woman, but I absolutely love this band - great sound!

Its amazing how relevant SOAD songs are right now
TheRandomhobo123 They were always relevant bro. Same shits been going on for decades. People just pay more attention now because social media.
My computer graphics teacher would play us SOAD while we were working in class. Dude was in his 50s, and this was like 2001/2002. Opened my eyes
They have always been relevant. It's kind the point of their message.
TheRandomhobo123 Ayy it’s five months in the future and we’re all going to die sooner or later and no activists can save us now so sugaaaaar
Yea these Kombucha mushroom people are getting lazier by the minute.
It's not about how fitting is this song right now, it's about how some things just didn't change, which is sadder, tbh.

300th LIKER YAY
Lmao this is a Joke but somehow it makes me listen to it 24/7
Pinches ardidos.
Thank you for saying that they were special to us who grew up during that Linking park, POD, Sytem of a Down and ofc Rage against the Machine days of the early 2000's.
It’s a lot of people’s favorite... mine too!!!
Please come back guys, everything you sang is more evident now, you are needed more than ever!!!!
This song slapps all this time later. Honestly one of the best songs I've ever had the pleasure of hearing.
The world needs a new album from these guys one of my all time favorite bands
I read that new singles came out, therefore, new album MUST appear!
Jeongyon!
When I was 12 I thought this was the most brutal thing ever on the planet.
Then I discovered Death Metal and Grindcore.
this is still pretty br00tal in my books and this is coming from someone who listens to screamo, black and post-metal, SOAD's self titled is untouchable.
yeah but unlike grindcore this is brutal AND it sounds good
Exotic.Tofu Yeah i have to agree grindcore vocals are garbage
GrindCore bands wouldn't know Brutal if it kicked them in there scene little vaginas. DevilDriver, Amon Amarth, Lamb of God... That's were it is at. System of a Down is far better than any GrindCore band can ever be. GrindCore is the dis-owned child of HardCore, while MetalCore is HardCores prized child.

Try some Gojira you will not be disappointed

Yeah, better start getting into the lyrics and understand what they're trying to tell us.
so you're saying we should prevent people from educating themselves and from knowing the truth in other ways that you and your government don't approve?
just wow, how old are you if you just discovered such band

@Ellen Larson I think he means, as time goes on their message becomes more and more relevant to the times. Always been a fire group, just as time goes on they're proved more and more right
This is all disregarding the fact that Sugar wasn't really supposed to mean anything, and they were surprised it blew up like it did
idk have you seen Boom! ? This was more relevant than any music there ever has been... Funny how people now say things like this but had their eyes closed for decades before...
I'll never forget seeing this band at Ozzfest right before their hiatus. The crowd chanted for Sugar and we got it. Serj ended up singing "No lights. No music. Just ice cream." and had people going nuts.

Just discovered this group. Their lyrics are so relavent to what's happening today! And he should be sung in a loud attention getting way, people need to hear this! God bless SOAD
Yes
Please take note that this is a very progressive band that has tackled subjects such as: police brutality, the United States prison system, profit driven wars, the war on drugs and much more progressive topics that I’m sure you’d love to hear! Serj Tankien (the lead singer) has bashed Donald Trump throughout his entire presidency. Don’t get it twisted ma’am. Feel the art, don’t appropriate it.
I’ve been listening to this band since I was 13 now (24) and till this day I still find old songs I haven’t heard back then and love them. So take all the time you need to explore them . This band is truly one of a kind .
@@CiroqLee Why wont he bash Biden??
@@graveraider1029 because Donald Trump is the epitome of a corporate cock sucker. You THINK he’s for the working class, but in reality, while your taxes may have been lowered, he has deregulated A TON OF CORPORATE LAWS, which in turn, destroys our Earth and her people. Here’s some lyrics from Cigaro by System of a Down: “We're the regulators that de-regulate
We're the animators that de-animate
We're the propagators of all genocide
Burning through the world's resources
Then we turn and hide” hopefully this will open your eyes just a enough to realize what you’re dealing with here. If not, I hope the best for you on your journey, hopefully one day you realize the truth.
