What about his take on total praise? 🤦♂️
I feel the same thing
SHAUN's reactions at the start is how I'm also reacting🔥
I am speechless he don’t need no singers. He is just powerful and you can tell that he is blessed
You know you're playing when Sean Wilson jumps back in his seat 😂🤣😭
😂😂
Sean talking in term of modes is like fresh rain. Not just him talking at that level , but me actually finally understanding what hes saying.. hearing him, but seeing the piano in my mind and truly understanding. No words man. No words.
phenomenal player
Hands down to him my gawd
Still in awe after seeing this live and on replay!!!
Yeah man, it was dope!!
Thank you for the great lesson,Jeremy blows my mind.
13:18 Sean: Some of yall are going to be playing these chords lol
It's me, I'm "some of yall!!" My Lord, that key change!
chills and chills and chills again, only chills when Jeremy plays...i'm a bass player but i can't to not listen the Gospel Soul pianists every day...
Jeremy makes me..full of joy and strong good emotions..sorry 4 my english..ooh thanks Sean!
Thanks Sean for this reinforcement or re-awakening of our musical senses by Jeremy.. for some reassuring... while others will still struggle to understand seemingly simple music concepts which the blind geniuses evidently are able to execute so magnificently. I recall recent post where some detractors seem to suggest that you were faking / pre- recording your response to figuring out various chords as you break-down a song .. even as you wore a BLINDFOLD to prove that it was possible to detect different chords qualities. Some will remain blind to such skills even as their eyes are open..feeling around and running after every phatt chords that they hear and cannot seem to figure out how easy it is for you and our sightless geniuses to accomplish this. I salute Ray Charles who was doing it long ago RIP. .Stevie Wonder..and others on UA-cam like Matthew Whittaker who have been mesmerizing us with their musical performances. They got it..... Another of my mentor who has made me useless like a dummy as I watched him play all those scales that I struggled to play ...whole tone.. half diminished...bebop and.. jazz scales ..the various modes and various nuances of reggae and soca music...is a Jamaican genius by the name Sydney Thorpe. All these blind geniuses use muscle memory, chord patterns and an intimate relationship with what I call the "geographical outlay of the keyboard" to be able to manipulate the keyboard. I could go on a lot further to tell what I believe these sighted learners are missing, but space is limited. One important thing that is overlooked is note relationship to each other and by intervals. This all ties in with pitch discrimination. This is the ability to decipher the slightest change in pitch in the chord or with the melody. So this means if the change involves a halfstep, whole step, third, quartal or fifth. While this may seem academic for most of us sighted persons trying to learn, this is the essential ingredients employed by those challenged by sight. When one invests a considerable amount of time with these nuances and using specific notes as markers to form certain chords then and only then will you be able to distinguish among the various chord types and patterns and play them without much effort. I could say much more and give more practical examples from my observations about chord construction...but who cares. You, Sean and plenty others continue to guide those interested in learning but they just won't see and some try to justify their own shortcomings like the fantastic need to use the transpose button. One thing I realize is that every body sees and learns quite differently ...so it boils down to a psychological way oh how we all learn new concepts and the effort each person employs to practice.
Pretty deep bro...
Yeah! Let your ears be the teacher while picturing the keyboard in your mind.
I'm also noticing a lot of expressive *dynamics* enhancing the tension in his chords, not just crystal clear melody projection, but lots of gradually swelling dynamics as chord sequences go along!
Great points man, expressive dynamics good way to put it
Yes. That’s pro level mastery right there. I don’t have as many chords and changes as many ppl but those dynamics is what I’m working on
Sir Wilson, my respect and honor for you grows each day. I definitely will mail you my story before and after I got to know your channel
I really enjoyed the whole thing, I was amazed by how smooth he played, kind of effortless, not just in songs, but as he explained things (before this part of the video).
Yeah, you were excited the whole time too man!!! lol
I just stumbled across this... had no idea you were posting this today!! I was ready to run listening to him play this, and I am not a runner!
You saw your name at the end? Your comment? 😂
@@SeanWilsonPiano yeah I did, lol I feel like those people at a sporting event that get their twitter comment posted! lol I was too hype!

Hey Sean, great video. I'm gonna have to revisit this video later one. I've wanted to ask. Are you an introvert?
oh yes!! for sure
@@SeanWilsonPiano lol I see this as a Deja vu... I know I said this just this week!
Sweet
Theory is the key✔👌
Thx Sean once again..question how much of all of theses musicians do you absorb into your own personal playing style?
not sure, I be forgetting what I teach from week to week lol... *but I think I'll actually memorize this one, then it will become part of me
Thx for the answer
Thank you! I learn things from all your videos.
But just a chord spelling detail, the "Bright" Lydian dominant sound you are describing around 12:28 is technically F# Lydian dominant with C in the Bass...not a C Lydian Dominant
hey Joshua, are you saying that because of the Db I pressed in the chord tone at 10:45?
Sean Wilson Piano
Yes, F#7/C, also played several times afterward, 11:30 for another example.
It would sound noticeably different with a D natural, which would be C9(#11) or C Lydian Dominant
Yeah that’s a good point, I was debating whether it should’ve been a D natural when I viewed in the edit stage but just went with it, but yes it does affect the tone for sure
Voicings are everything. Sounds Kevin blondish😊
TREMENDO.
Sean's face when Jeremy was playing😂😂. By the way, Sean, how did you get your keyboard to sound like that? It sounded really dark
I used 10ths a lot in the left hand as well. An OG musician told me that in 2001. Admittedly, I don't sound like Jeremy, lol.
lol…yeah man!
