Absolutely fantastic Video! The 1st Black Sabbath Album is one of my favourite albums ever! Then that would make Goodmans the ORIGINAL sound of Metal! If they were in the original Laney Cabs that Tony Iommi used then that's amazing! Thanks for sharing!

One method I found for making some really decent irs is with a program called "Libra" that's made by STL Tones. It lets you load up to 8 irs at once in a virtual room and you move the 'mic' around to where you get the mix you like the most and then you save it to a single ir that you can use with your amp sim of choice. It's a great way to take a bunch of the 'meh' impulses you have and blend them into something that could be pretty decent.

Some of the most badass guitar tones ever recorded:
Angus Young on Let there be rock
James Hetfield on Kill ‘em all
Dave Murray on The number of the beast
In other words, Gunned tube amp, old school 4x12, passive pickups. (Seriously, the chugging on Kill ‘em all has never been topped!)

Please do an IR pack with this speaker. It seems like a really cool IR to have in the toolbox to add some low end balls to a guitar tone or used sparingly to just thicken things up a bit. I have all your other IR packs and have found them extremely useful in sculpting great metal guitar tones that get you away from the vanilla 57 on a V30 tone that has been done to death.

An IR only captures the frequency response but not the distortion behaviour itself.

People don`t cleave the whole low end usually. Hi-pass at 80hz (or tweak it to fundamental note) and dynamic eq cut with wideband around 150hz is usually enough and it still retains a lot of lows. Although modern djent tones may go way further and so they sound thin indeed
