With these convective snows, delta-Ts could push 30-35 Celsius, and lake induced convective-energies could push from 500-1000 j/kg!
Add an temperature inversion of 30,000 feet or so (25,000 feet or so or more in other cases), and colder than -20C in that inversion height, and these 3-inch-per-hour LE snows can electrify in the clouds, causing sufficient charge separation for THUNDERSNOW!
