He was one of the greats, and always a fan favourite for sure. Remember watching him win the championship, it was fantastic to see. Real shame he passed, RIP Viking. Thanks for the content, appreciate what you do. Cheers 👍
It's tragic that he didn't get more help in the early days when he was gaining the weight to 31st. Folks tend to dismiss or shame those that suffer this kind of problem. They need real individual help and guidance. Rest in peace.
Andy Fordham was a gentleman who was one of the nicest darts players.he was always well respected by everyone, both in BDO and the PDC.i dreadfully miss the Viking.R.I.P.andy.god bless you big fella and God rest your soul.LEGEND.
Back in the day you had the HAL Open in Venray, Holland. I played youth at the time and he needed someone to mark and asked me as I was just wandering about. I instantly said yes obviously, only to find out someone else already took the marking spot. Absolutely gutted to this day I didn’t mark that match, but awesome I got the honour of meeting him.
Andy Fordham was a top class darter and just sad his weight problem aided in beating him in the end is very sad. His style of throw was for me one of the best natural throws in Darts was Andy Fordhams I had a pic taken with Andy in 2005 at the Scottish Open , but lost this pic sadly . Rip to Andy Fordham the Viking one of the greats of the game .
Andy was a gentleman, he had health issues and liked the soup, its never a good combination. Fine player, he tried his best to lose the excess weight, but it was a tough battle. RIP Andy
had no idea he passed, but I only learned last night Eric Bristow passed. i haven't watched shitty tv or read paper in years. the Viking was a great player.
every one that died that year it was covid ? even if you fell of a ladder and killed your self it was covid . if you believe that i have a bridge i could sell to you. R.I.P. Andy fordham a great player
alcohol is tasty but poison to the body. and also too much or way too much weight is not funny. but why were the graphics that bad and missinformational 30 years ago?
Nobody uses farenheit, I am British and 50, I had to Google it. Stones are used by older people, my age and over. In the USA they use both all the time.
Met Andy a couple of times over the years an absolute gent who will be missed
R.I.P The Viking, gone but not forgotten, We will remember you always Andy!
When you’re too unfit for a game of darts, it’s time to take serious action!

I knew him well. One thing he loved was exciting and fun voices. So this video would not have gone down well with him.

Grew up watching and playing darts with my Dad, Fordham was the first player I remember being a fan of, my Dad thought a lot of him too..
He was the memorable sweet big boy and a real face of the darts world

I have read his book and would like to recommend it good read on his life darting days.😊
great souvenirs from him seeing play... similarly in snooker we had Bill Werbeniuk
I had the privilage of going to a closed darts q&a plus some funny darts matches.he was a nice gent. I have his autographath on his viking poster..
Box office im glad they do not have this on darts
Whats unbelievable is how quickly you can actually gain weight. Ive known people to on 6-7 stone in a year.
The thing is if you stop with a sport you have to change other things too like your calorie intake otherwise you are going to baloon big time..
Still have no idea how darts can be said to be a sport. It is not.
Legend❤
RIP Viking.
sounds like one of Arnold Rimmers Risk stories
😂Smeeeeee.......
Phil wasn’t too far behind him😅
Fordham had a solid throw
He was thinner than Michael smith has ever been. Give it 10 years Michael smith will be bigger than Fordham ever was
Small or big stones?
It would have been both.
I didn’t know he was dead
Rip
Thank goodness he didn't develop covid.

Hard to tell as Andy had severe health problems for a substantial time with the amount of liquor he consumed. He did have cirrhosis of the liver.

Are the Brits really still using stones and Fahrenheit?
I though you finally caught up with the modern world. 😁
Calling it soccor instead of football 😂
