- Tight spaces and big magnets, make for difficult build 😖 Customer raised the rear seat 3”, for this one and I needed every inch. I tried to keep the box tucked under the seat, as best I could. He will be pushing them with a Sundown 2K......enjoy ✌🏽

Like a museum inside of that beautiful box, great job and thank you for sharing your talents

Thank you very much 🙏🏽 Glad it showed man, because I sure did 🤙🏽
Been researching a while for ideas to get maximum airspace for my f150 to install 4 - EXL-X 8" Subwoofers. This is the only video I’ve seen where the person the person actually built the box right by considering SPL efficiency for maximum air flow. Impressed and that doesn’t happen often.
I appreciate you checking out this build and enjoying it bro 👍🏽 I had no idea, this one would be this popular with folks. 🤷🏽♂️ I get emails weekly about this particular build. Had a friend of mine send me a screenshot of a guy on FB, asking if anyone would build this one for him. Customer still has it in his truck and seems to be very happy with it 👍🏽 Thanks again bro!

Eugene Martin - That’s what’s up bro 👌🏾 thank you! No, can’t say that I have man. Folks mostly drive Chevy around here 🤷🏽♂️
Beautiful Box !! Talk about custom fit like a glove 👍 what would be the biggest woofer size that would have the same fit on a 2018 Silverado crewcab jut like the one on the video?
jose anonas - Thanks bro! Yes it most definitely was. Su s were actually to big (magnet size and mounting depth) Customer had to list his rear seat, before I started the build. Factory height was to to low. It’s hard to fit most 8s u set the rear seat of these newer trucks, forward facing. Most have a front height of 7” I always recommend 6.5” for trucks. Makes things much easier, when designing a box. Plus they get loud and low like 8s 👌🏾

Vonte94 - Thank you sir 👌🏾 Customer had to modify his back seat, in order to get these subs to fit. Two would be plenty for deep bass. I should still have the specs written down for this build. I’ll try and post them for ya.
210 / Designs appreciate that!
Nice need me one of these for my f150
IKESTERrocks - Thanks! Customer had to raise his seat 4” for this one. Subs were huge!
@@210Designs no way overall or like it was at a angle?
Hey man. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew cab. What type of subwoofer set up do you recommend for that limited space? Awesome video by the way.
Edit: You know what never mind. The ending of the video just showed me. Again, awesome video.
Crew cab, limited? Lol. Rip them seats out and tell me how limited you are?! Jk, if you really insist on keeping the seats, then good luck. You can also have someone build a box that has the seats built on top of the enclosure.
Wonder what this will do on the meter. Looks like it slams.
Steve Davis - Not real sure man. Customer is not into metering. Just likes his bass hitting tho 💪🏽
I’d love this box for my tundra! I bought a prefab a bomb one and put 4 skr svr and I’m just not happy
The way these subs/enclosure performed in the customers Chevy, I’m sure it would do the same in your Tundra. Hate to hear that about your current box tho…I mainly build locally in my area. This way I can guarantee both sub/box fitments and performance 👌🏽 Thank you for watching and the comment.

Jorge bautista - Will do 👌🏾 Thanks again.
What truck was this box built for? I have a 2019 Silverado crew cab I would like to do 4 10" subs is it possible?
Tyron Davis / Can’t remember the year, but it was a 4 door GMC. Customer had to raise his back seat 3” in order for me to get these 8s to fit. 10” would be even higher. Thanks for watching 👌🏾
2017 GMC Sierra 1500 base model double cab??? 2 10s???
Would it be possible to do one 8” without raising the seat?
Not in my opinion bro. Is toner had to raise the seat for 3 reasons: to increase airspace, magnet clearance (because of the decreasing slope of the box) and OD clearance of the sub. Sub is absolutely huge. Hope that information helps 👌🏾
What does building somethin like that cost really curious but not sure where to go
urielgonzalez34 - My rates are below what normal shops charge, because I do this as a hobby and not to pay bills. With that being said, I can’t speak for them. This box was not a standard build for me. Very custom and critical on sub fitment. Anywhere from $300-$350 🤷🏽♂️
Could 4 8 inch skar zvx 8 fit in this box you design for those sundown
Charles Williams - Based on the subwoofers physical measurements, yes. Skar shows to require more internal cf tho.
Hey man, awesome box. Are you by chance in 210 (San Antonio). I'm a few hours south of that and I want to get an underseat box built for a 2022 F150 and your work looks dope.
What’s good Gene 🤝 Unfortunately, I’m located in a small town in Oklahoma. The “210” confuses a lot of folks 😆 It was my 📟 code, back in the day. How much would it cost for a box like that for a 2002 Ford 150 for the same subs
Jay Allison - Not real sure bro. I’m only setup to build locally. But I really appreciate you watching and liking the vid 👌🏾
Yo 210/Designs I need some assistance I finally got this laptop right and plan on filming some videos this weekend. I was wondering what type of hardware would you recommend to mount my Soundqubed HDS 8"s in my T-Line enclosure? Would you use some standard wood screws or even some Wood- insert nuts with bolts? Either or what size would you recommend? The front baffle is 1in MDF and the rest is 3/4 MDF. What would you recommend? Thanks Big Bro
ZCustoms - Congrats on getting your electronics up and running homie. As to your question about mounting hardware. 99% of the time I use 1-5/8” coarse wood screws. When I need to upgrade (JL W713.5, 15” HCCA Orion’s, Skar VXF12, DD18”, Sundown ZV4 12”/18”, etc) I used 2” #12 coarse sheet metal screws. *recommended by JL Audio. Hope that helps. FYI- Always pre-drill your holes. I use a 7/64” drill bit, when using 1-5/8” wood screws. Drill at a small angle, away from the sub. This will insure you grab more wood, the further the screw goes in. Run them in with a drill, clutch set low. Then finish securing them manually. Haven’t had one strip yet or the sub vibrate loose.
ZCustoms - I used 1-5/8” on these SA 8s 💯

Appreciate that homie 🤙🏽 Man that’s a hard one right there. The SA and U series both have huge magnets..which eat up air space. Customer had built spacer brackets and raised his seat 3” so we could get the cf and magnet clearances.
@210 / Designs dang 3" that's a good bit. That's what I was worried about if I could fit 4 8s under my seat. That's why I was also considering 4 1506s but I know the 4 8s would be louder but if I only can get 2.9cu box I might be close with 4 8s and jus have to do the 4 1506s
@@johnnypiper1717 Yea, originally it was only supposed to be (2) subs, so we had to refigure the design if he wanted it to work. I’m a firm believer in putting what will fit and not having to adjust the vehicle. I’d personally go with (4) 1506s and let’m eat off that amp. Those subs are no joke, don’t let the smaller size fool ya. I put (4) 6.5” Skars in a customer’s extended cab Chevy. Had everyone tripping when he would pull up 💯 and he was running them off an old school JL1000.1

Dam you got down on this box man. That's a dam good job!
I have a question. I'm building a box for 2-12s. I got a precision 4" flared tube port for it. Due to space the box will be about 2 cubic feet after sub and port displacement. My question is, when doing the formula to calculate port length, does the number of subs matter or will following the formula port length always give my the correct port length. My port length calculator doesn't ask how many subs, it only asks what tune I want, my box cubic feet and port diameter. So as long as I take into consideration and factor in the total sub displacement of all the subs, the port length calculator should be correct right?
Alexo - Thank you very much for the comment in this build. Yes port turning is based on net internal box volume and not the number of subs. A good average to figure squares inches required for a round port, is 9”-12”. *This is just average, I’ve went below and above these numbers and had no issues. Just stay close. Example: 2cf/net box x 9” = 18 square inches port area required Now factor your port (Port diameter / 2 = radius.
3.14 x (radius) squared = square inches of port area available).
damn i have a 2015 f150 and wante to use a underseat box but there none that suited me without using less power this is sick.. do you have a website? do you build for everybody or just locals
Brad Price - Thanks man I really appreciate that. Unfortunately I do not have a website and only able to build these boxes, for local folks. I do this in my spare time, as a hobby of mine. In all the truck boxes I’ve built, this one was by far the toughest. From a builders perspective, 6.5” subs are the way to go. No modifications needed to raise the seat and mounting depth is not an issue. Built one using 4-6.5” subs in a Silverado truck, that blew people away when he showed them what was in there.
210 / Designs understood .. it would still be great to be able to buy this box for what. 4 sa 8s or whatever subs.. how much did you charge for this?

I like building my own because I like working with my hands and working with my son when he was helping me. It gives me great satisfaction to look when it's finished and say I built that. My whole lumbar is fused and when I'm building most of the time it takes my mind off the pain. Sorry for the long message. THANK YOU FOR SHARING and HELPING ME just in your first video I watched!!!! 😊😁
@@michaelgroves7178 You sir are more than welcome 🤝 That’s exactly why I share my builds…to help the next builder. There’s more than one way to build an enclosure. The trick is finding which works best for you. Glad to hear that about you and your son 👏🏽 quality time is priceless. As for your back….ouch bro. My father-in-law was the same way, so I have nothing but respect on that. Feel free to check any of my builds, old and new. Been listing for several years now and I believe I have improved since over the years 😆 If you ever have any questions or needing to run ideas, just hit me up. I’m also on IG@210.designs.

Thanks again and happy building 👌🏽
Did you use a seat lift?
Yessir. Customer had some made for his truck 👌🏽 Subs were way to big to fit.
What was this box tuned at? Also that box looks amazing..
jayshafer16 - I believe around 36hz. And I appreciate that bro 👌🏾 Thanks for watching!
Wheeww that's low for under the seat. Thats what I been looking for, but I bet its loud also. That 3 inch rise scares me on my f150 but i want 8s and selling my 6.5 setup
I have a 83 El Camino I need a box with 4 Sundown 8s and the port in the middle. How much $$$
Definitely one I would need access to, in order to build one for. This is why I build locally in my area bro 👌🏾 Thanks for watching and checking in.
you think i could fit those under my 2001 dodge rams backseat
I’m not 100% sure bro 🤷🏽♂️ Customer raised his seat 3-1/2” and I’m not sure what the dimensions are in a 2001 dodge.
@@210Designs i'm gonna have to raise the seat a good bit for sure
Speaker box.....meh? 8 note Piano stuck on repeat....awesome
How about speaker blue print?
Living Waters - I appreciate you watching 👌🏾 As for the blue print, this one was done old school. Pencil, paper and calculator.
Amazin
Thank you 🤙🏽
I'm thinking about doing 3 x 8s from sundown when I get my car this spring
kia bass 879 - Deezamn!!! That’s gonna be slamming for sure man. Post when you do 👌🏾
The box you made does it fit a 2009 Chevy Silverado with the transmission hump on the floor? If so I would love for you to make me a box. Please text me back at your earliest convenience.
Yes, the customer’s truck had a 1” transmission hump. Unfortunately, I build locally in my area and not setup to ship my builds. I do know of (2) great builders that will ship.
