This man deserves to be paid for his time and talent. Most people would've jumped at a chance to work with Eddie and have the opportunity to document these rare insights into the musical legend and his band. The video footage is important for archival purposes--it's part of the band's history and would provide the fans a rare glimpse into Eddie's workspace. 5150 is a legendary part of rock music history, and the fans have long waited and wanted a glimpse into this side of the process. If Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang are currently working on a project that involves searching back through Ed's musical archives as well as rare concert video footage, then I can understand why they might forbid Mr. Bennett from releasing his video footage for now. So, if they're working on their own project to be released commercially, then I can understand their reluctance to allow another project to get into the marketplace first. Apart from that, Mr. Bennet should be allowed to package his work and sell it at a fair price. It's not Mr. Bennett's intention to release any footage that might be embarrassing to Eddie or his family. He appears to be interested in the video footage as a historical document that fans would be interested in. It would be a shame for all of this intimate studio rehearsal footage to be lost forever.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book….great pictures. I wish we could have seen the pictures of the “garage” with all the vintage gear….and more pictures of the studio
Whatever dude. I’m generation X and when I was 4, I couldn’t go 15 feet without hearing Van Halen when they came out. Permanently Ape Shit about them 😊
Guitar Wishes is such a great store!!! A gem right here in Lincolnton!!!
